I can relate so much. I NEVER thought I needed to come out, or be questioned about it. I just wanted to live my daily life like I do now.
Being picked on is the worst.
I think he's shown he has quite a voice. But his mother is a lawyer and he is a 21 year old who is new to the spotlight, after all. I would also look to my mother in a public forum for advice on how to proceed. It's uncomfortable to discuss your sexuality on international TV no matter your orientation or age, let alone as a young man in his situation.

No one should be forced to come out. I've known since the age of 3, and I suppressed it until after Ellen came out. I was 30 as I decided to F it all. The only downside was that Dad didn't talk to me for a year. He thought I was going through a phase. We shared the love of antiques, and it broke my heart because he died 4 years afterwards. I did take the chance to march in the NY City Pride parade in the Summer of '98 with the Southern Tier AIDS Program. I wore my Skaneateles Lake t-shirt to represent my Finger Lakes roots (born in Ithaca and raised on the southern end of Skaneateles Lake in the Town of Scott/Homer/Glen Haven, NY). I also marched in DC's Millennium March in 2000 with Amnesty International & the Human Rights Campaign. LGBTQ covers the entire spectrum (even those who are Republican ;) Unfortunately, cyber bullying is one of the downsides. People who do that need to get a Life to say the least. Keep on keeping on

I would be mortified if I was his mother. Not once has Meredith said it wasn’t ok. The fact this is her biggest storyline is a bit sad. I don’t tune in to watch someone’s son behave like a brat and talk about women’s vaginas.
