Lung ultrasound is a core application in critical care medicine and an area of strong interest. It has demonstrated utility in identifying effusion and characterizing worsening lung disease, and there are a variety of nuances we are still working on understanding better. Dr. Ryan Desanti of Drexel University/St. Christopher's has worked extensively in this area and will discuss this fundamental topic.
