Both pieces are so beautiful. The black top looked like navy on my screen. It really looks so pretty with the patterned skirt too. You are so talented to put a yoke into the pattern to make sure it was how you wanted it. Thank you!
hi karina im always on the lookout for your videos it all looks so good on you it always amazes me how you turn a bit of fabric into a beautiful garment
So I was struggling with part of a sewing project today: having to sewing around an inset piece of metal in a tight spot. I tried it twice and ripped it out twice. Suddenly you were there in my head telling me the solution. I basted around the metal by hand (something I rarely do) THEN did the machine sewing ... perfect result. Love the purple dress on you ... simply lovely. I LOVE how you do wahtever you have to when you want to make something from a fabric but don't have quite enough. Love the black top. It's a perfect boho/peasant-y look. 💚💚💚
I don’t think I’ll ever wear the typical beige type peasant look with embroidery, but prints and solids... yes. It’s more me. I’m glad you were able to get past your hurdle and hand sewing does wonders :)
Love this video. I also don't like wearing "off - the - shoulder" tops. I am gonna watch your other videos, too, cuz I really need to learn the things you have talked about in this video. TY so very much for sharing this one with us. 😻
Gorgeous makes. The purple fabric is fantastic. I made a top like this for my mum at Christmas but the underarm was tight. This looks like there is comfortable wearing ease. xxx
This was a great explanation of how darts are always there, just transformed into pleats or gathers. I never thought of it that way. What a pretty floral print you used for the dress. Purple and orange are an unexpected combination, but actually compliment one another here. Love your black top version! Now I need one in my life!
I love the idea of the casing for the neck. I made a similar looking blouse to resemble the Adrienne blouse by Friday pattern and company. I hacked a McCalls pattern with raglan sleeves. I just added 5/8th inch and turned under for the casing. I prefer this method. I will try it out. I love your skirt paired with the black top. It is so pretty!
The tops are super flattering on you! So smart how you pieced the back of the black top! The hem facing for the cap sleeves is so clever! I am in love with that floral print! What a lovely dress! I've made two tops in this design (one last spring and one this spring), and now I think I'll lengthen the pattern into a dress with a sash! What a lovely idea! P.S. Your shoes are super cute!
I love both the dress and the top this is my style of pattern. I have some challis fabric do you think that would be draped enough for the blouse? I loved your skirt too do you remember which pattern you used for that ? I love your videos Karina they give me lots of inspiration, thank you.
Thank you for sharing your tutorial and thoughts on how to sew this beautiful peasant blouse, I love your channel, loved the music, the fabric is just beautiful .
How did you know I was searching for a peasant type top to make with a piece of red crepe???? Enter your timely video review AND a pattern sale?? Thank you!
I think the small V would pull apart with the elastic gathering. I have sewn what you describe but in styles where the gathers are fixed inside a binding. Just like this pattern is made, I would not change it because a V would deform it.
This is not a project for someone totally new to sewing. I never mentioned it was for beginners. Of course there are methods and words that will become familiar once you have done more sewing.
Wow, your comment is very rude. You can go ahead and find other videos to watch that only play music and there’s no talking, if that’s what you prefer.

I'm so happy you are here. I started making my own clothes due to not liking how some clothes feel and look
I like the belt loops and sash. Very nice.
Thank you so much 😊

That black top gives you a lovely shape; very flattering on you. The length is REALLY good on you.
Thank you so much 😊. Mid hip is always the best for me :)

Very nice neckline and I relate to you so much about squeezing out garments from “not enough” fabric. I am doing the same. Lovely video 💗
I do it all the time but especially now that fabric takes weeks to arrive when I shop online 😢
I love the fabric. I also love the pattern. Happy Sewing🌼🌼🌼
Thank you I really love all the different techniques you teach us I also now look at patterns differently now how I can alter to suit my style

I love this print for you. It makes your eyes sparkle!

I think with a knit, turning under would be something we can get away with, but still a facing would be much better :)
I love your dress on you. I really like your top. Of course, It's great how you put in a yoke to make it work! Take care & God Bless.
Yokes are usually life savers :)
They both look lovely on you the black looks good with the bright skirt.
Thank you so much 😊
Sooo lovely! Perfect hack! Well done! I really liked the dress. Purple is my favorite color💜💜.
Purple is a fave for me too and hard to find :)
Love them both. The purple fabric is beautiful 😁
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you for the video I really enjoyed it.Have a wonderful day and stay safe
Thank you so much 😊. It’s getting super tiring to be at home, one day at a time.
I love dress and top! I just made a dress with the elasticated neckline-see & sew B6540-and love the fit in the neck. Enjoy your videos!
Is sewn partial gathers only before and really like this style! More to come for sure.
This dress is beautiful! 🌺
Thank you so much 😊
Beautiful blouses.

Your black top looks so lovely on you. I would like to make one.

Very interesting so we need more videos

I loved your skirt too do you remember which pattern you used for that ? I love your videos Karina they give me lots of inspiration, thank you.
Rayon types are perfect for the top and dress :)
The skirt is the Sybil illusion collection pencil skirt :)

Gorgeous!

Beautiful👏👏
Thank you so much 😊
Thanks Karina this is also my style!!! Can you give any guidance about doing this gathered neckline with a small vneck at the front? TIA!
I think the small V would pull apart with the elastic gathering. I have sewn what you describe but in styles where the gathers are fixed inside a binding. Just like this pattern is made, I would not change it because a V would deform it.
Do you have any tips for cutting out this delicate fabric please.
I wrote a blog post about the topic for Love Notions and its got all the tips :)

It’s a fun project :)
Do you a pattern for size XL or 1XL
I don’t know what you are asking me. I made the size 14 but the size is not relevant because the sewing is the same.
I am a beginner and this video was not easy to follow. Sorry!

Talk less and work more please .
