I wonder why my new Denon d9200 experience is quite different from others. I also have d7200 which delivers the very very nice sound without burn-in but my new d9200 sound is pretty dull and no good bass but the details is good.😢
@@unarestem254 1. have you burned them properly / long enough? 2. Have you tried different amps and cables? 3. You can still EQ them and add more bass or so. I have the D7200 and they are superb, using them daily. I heard more stories about people owning both and kept the D7200 at the end. Anyway if this wont work for you then sell them their value is pretty high and the demand is there.

For mine I connect with new hibyR6 , Denon DA-310 but the sound is not as good as d7200. I ‘ve listened for 3 days , I notice it gives just more sound details but the bass sound still very little.

What about if you press them manually towards your head hard (creating proper seal) is the bass there or not? What about your pads, are they original pads, is there any damage on them? The D9200 bass should be the same as the D7200.
I'll have to check these out. I've got 3 pairs reference Grados that I've had 25 years, and 15 and 5 years respectively. Also a pair of AKG K812s. They're wonderful. So these will have a lot to live up to.
I have been considering the HD800S which are open back. Been using stricly open back headphones for years due to everyone saying its better for the wider soundstage. But i have really been thinking of closed back headphones lately. It closes out noise which is a huge plus (busy family), i bet the sound is way more fun than the very neutral sound of my HD700 or HD800S. From your description they seem to be very fun to listen to.
These are so good! The best headphones I ever had for sure. I put my LCD-X on sale the first day that I got the D9200. Great build, lightweight, fantastic sound, very engaging. Made in Japan. This is endgame stuff here.

Could you also use a 2,5mm or 4,4 mm cable to get symetric connection? And the headphone side , which pins are these, 3,5mm right? When you hear it clicking , it definetely fits is thar right Im honestly a little confused and fear that i cant use my cable and i dont want to damage anything Thanks for that review
I returned my Stellia. It sounded like a $700 headphones. I love the Denons, D7000( got 2 sets just in case ) and the D9200. The new model is less bright, with more body. D7000 with Dekoni thicker pads, wow, it sounds huge, and delightful, fun fun fun.

The D9200 is a safer buy. I have no doubt that u will love the D9200. It plays greatly with all genres. Hope u have a good Dac/amp. Out of Dap sounds really good, but it will scale quite nicely with desktop amp.

So you said you could locate precisely the sound on COD, but did you have Dolby Atmos from Microsoft activated or not ? Is it only the Stereo which is so precise ? I'm playing too on PC, not console, i'm hesitating, because on PC i have Dolby Atmos too from Microsoft but it required a Stereo Headphone. If we are using USB DAC like yours, are they detected a Headphone on Windows ? Or do i have to buy a Soundcard internal and plugin this Headphone on it ? Thank you !

Good review, but I’m puzzled as to why you use these headphones with the iPhone plugged in directly without a headphone amp/DAC you should’ have used the DAC from the beginning with a Pair of headphones in this price range and quality. range
Most pricey headphones need an amp/DAC because their impedance is super high, like 200 - 400 ohms. These are 25 ohms and as such I tried them with my laptop without an amp/DAC.
That answer makes absolutely no sense to me a high-end Headphones or any type of equipment should only be used with other high end equipment laptop computer is too noisy to use with headphones of that caliber you should always use a headphone amp/ DAC
@@bigreg1001 An amp is only needed to power headphones with higher impedance, these have low impedance as mentioned above so you don't need to use an AMP.
Thank you for the review🎉 I just got Denon d9200 few days ago from Japan. I connect it with Denon DA-310 dad/amp and listen to tidal. I’m quite disappointed when compare with d7200. For me d9200 is difficult to drive unlike d7200 and the music from 9200 out of the box was pretty dull while d7200 was awesome out of the box even listen from mobile phone. After few days listening to d9200 is better a little bit but the bass still quite poor. I hope the more hours the better bass from it.😮

The D9200 have been my entry into HiFi about 1½ Years ago - I absolutely love them and very much recommend trying them out :D
IS there a way to hook up a microphone to these? Audeze allows anything from their LCD series to attch their boom mic.

Hd800S is anemic. Most of the open back are! Closed back ones with acceptable mids are a way to go!

How are these for travelling?
Not that great…they take up a lot of space and can’t fold in on itself. I bought a case but it’s big. Also, I found a more usable pair for travel.
