I was locked up in Polk county with him we weren’t friends or anything cuz Gates was a reserved to himself type in there. Stood tall but didn’t play no type of disrespect but inmates would ask him questions time to time and he’d ignore most of them but somebody with rank asked him about those lyrics cuz most the unit would start playing his songs in front of him 😂 and he just smiled and paused and said
“allegedly, that’s what they say right?” when the big homie asked about it. It was crazy how many people tried to befriend him thinking they would get famous. Dudes would come up trying to rap for him too and he kept them mfs out his face and yes he was in general population. I barely talked to him cuz I didn’t wanna be a D rider but we said wassup a few times. Dude didn’t act like a celebrity at all. He was one of the quietest people in there even when it was loud af he always seemed unbothered af but 🥷 knew he meant business

@@craigehelo7329 yea he was in for kicking that chick but everybody in there felt like she should’ve been charged too cuz she grabbed his you know what and Gates already doesn’t like being touched by strangers but yeah man the county guards usually aren’t like prison CO’s but since it’s Kevin Gates they were still breaking him off, getting him whatever he wanted, like phones and food. They all liked him. I guess him and his lawyer requested for him to be in general population cuz he’s not the PC type. Actually when he left he gave all his stuff like food items and hygiene items, etc to the other inmates to split and he made sure to give the people more who ain’t have shit. Obviously he kept his paperwork and stuff he wrote down but everything other inmates could use he wanted them to have it. Good hearted dude but we were all upset not only when he left, he had weapon charges in cook county out of state so instead of getting released they shipped him to Illinois/Chicago to serve more time.

Man I went through the same shit. My whole juvi years was behind bars. 7 1/2 years. 13 years old to 20. But real shit it saved me. I was out there out there. Jumped off the porch at age 9 and just crashed out. Lost my twin when I was in there too. Got out and handled my business and taken care of my family. 💪🏿
Years later..i get bored n make sure happen. When i get mad, everyone get the business !
