It's always after the damage has been done they regret and cry, whine for sympathy at what they lost...really what they threw away. If he cared about their relationship so much he wouldn't have cheated. Cheating is a choice he made, he knew going in that it was wrong and did it anyway. No sympathy for him but I bet the wife is wanting to forgive and take him back. All it would take for me would be to think about him lying, sneaking around, and getting the woman pregnant...my sympathy valve would be shut off. Some things once done can't be forgiven. Even if I did forgive in time, I'd never take such a person back because I'd never trust him again. Just because he made some grand public gesture would mean nothing, it's way too late for sorry. She did the right thing in divorcing him.
Exactly, if that would happen to me, just the image in my head of my husband in bed with other women would be enough to dump him as no good. .So he got stupid drunk and slept with the little harlot. He wanted nothing to do with her but she shows up pregnant with some fake a** story that if she gets rid of the baby she'll never be away to have another one. Basically blackmails him to spend time with her or she'll tell his wife about the affair. He, being the coward he is, bends over backwards to keep her form talking, but like most dirty deeds they don't stay hidden long. He finds out she lied about pregnancy danger and wife caught him at the hospital. Of course the little home wrecker no longer has blackmail in her hand and the husband starts treating her like she deserves!!! Her family shows up thinking that the liar hit the jackpot with this idiot only to learn he gave his wife everything in the divorce so as not to be sued by her. Girls mother and brother are pissed, start a fight with the cheater and little harlot is pushed. She loses the baby. He spends the rest of the drama trying to pay off the mistress ( have no idea what for. She didn't deserve squat) and trying to get wife back, who eventually forgives him.
Chinese dramas always end up accepting the cheating husband. Disgusting.

But then again, no one can control who he/she loves, it's entirely up to the person to make the decision for the rest of his/her life.
No he wouldn't have been with her. He made it very clear that he wasn't going to be in a relationship with her. He actually wanted her to abort, but she lied about never being able to get pregnant again if she did. She just assumed since the wife left him that that meant they'd be together. I think if the writers could have had him kill her and get away with it he would have, but it's not that kind of drama. Lol
