- Dr. Douglas Lungu is a soft spoken gentleman, but he has powerful words and has done some pretty amazing things. He and his family led an initiative where residents of Mzuzu City built a magnificent 26-bed Wezi Medical Centre in Mzuzu.
Dr. Lungu has been director of the Daeyang Luke Hospital, in Lilongwe, Malawi. He actually was very instrumental in the construction and launching of its services. He formerly served as the director of Ekwendeni Hospital and spearheaded many HIV-related programs in the northern region. Dr. Lungu served as the director of clinical services in the Ministry of Health and led the establishment of the first college for registered nurses, operated under the umbrella of the Christian Health Association of Malawi. He is a founding member of the Society of Medical Doctors, which aims to encourage professionalism within the medical fraternity.
This man is great...I know people who have benefited from his good work for free in my community

Wow! I know this Doctor that 1995,I was admitted of TB. Doctor Lungu used to love me most. When i hear your story and the time. Really you served me Dr Lungu at my age of 9. God is great
