I only ride in salt water. When I bring it home, I cover it Salt Away, then rinse, then dry and use polish. Flush it with Salt Away, let it sit for 5-10mins, then flush with water. After it cools down, I spray CRC656 all over the engine bay, jet nozzle, bucket. Sometimes I spray the grate and ride plate.
I have 300+ hours on my 2012 GTI and I ride salt water. My ski looks nearly new inside and out. I do not use salt away; just fresh water after every single ride. Salt away couldn't hurt, but IMO, it's not needed.
Honestly i literally followed Kevin's viedo on this channel "salt water clean up and maintenance" to the T and looks brand new and is only ever used in salt water. Salt away is so good at breaking down salt that rinsing the outside of the craft with it visibly removes all salt even before doing anything else. Every. Single. Session. I have turned that time into "my time" for listening to music. Just do it and your pwc will remain brilliant and retain its value.
Love your channel and content! I think the question was a legit one that I know others have personal opinions on. I think it was missed... After the flush is performed with salt away, do you leave the salt away mixture as the final flush or run clean/regular water through and flush again for a few minutes after the salt away? I'm curious your thoughts also as I'm in SWFL too. Heard both recommended. Thanks!
