As much as I already hate the movie for it having live action, I gotta admit that the sets look absolutely amazing. Goes to show that they're actually trying in some aspects.
I never thought of Steve as a joker he seemed like a guy who wanted to explore nervous but ready for adventure so its odd jack black will make Steve just funny just for a movie when Steve seems like he would rise above it all to protect the ones he loves
Really wish the creaking was way more threatening. Have it be stronger and faster, and make it so that it closes its eyes after it notices that you're looking at it. So you just get to catch a brief glimpse of its eyes.
Minecraft could have its own theme park. With Vanilla Land in the hub, and various SMPs, mods, and even Education Edition in Lands surrounding it. There would have to be a lot of IP sign-on but I think a lot of people could potentially be enthusiastic about it.
I like that the Pale Garden has the same feel of the Mooshroom island. A simple, relatively quiet area. And yet, it feels wrong, just so wrong, like all the color has been absorbed and twisted. Unfortunately, this biome isn't as friendly as the mushroom cow zone friendly. I like how it isn't incredibly unfriendly like the deep dark, but hostile enough to ward off unknowing adventurers who wander too close. Plus the only reason to go there is for the wood and moss (and heart i guess), a similar reason to visit any other forrest. But it feels like the trees themselves dont want you there. This is a place you shouldn't visit, but your curiosity is too high too ignore it.
Most people will probably avoid it with the way it is currently though,, I hope it’s about as rare as the mooshroom biome, I wouldn’t want to stumble into a horror biome as often as I stumble into forests, cherry groves, savannas, etc.
This probably isn't the case, but all that villager XP gave me the idea that the creaking kills any creature that gets near it, and when it kills them, they drop XP. Thus, the heart would become an amazing block for farms.
Ah yes, the 15th anniversary, when they add an update that is be just a recolor of dark oak forest which would be a week of work for one person while they have 1100 employees and a year...
I don't blame them. Apparently Microsoft is very overprotective of this golden goose that everything they add has to be rigorously tested to see if it shifts the meta too dramatically for the various different Minecraft players (explorers, builders, etc). Considering how the elytra changed so much, it's understandable why they're so careful.
@@grimgrahamch.4157 then I'd say it would be important to speak up about those issues. The player base won't learn that from anywhere by themselves, so they will just keep getting mad a mojang
Me reacting to Reacting to Minecraft Live, Live, live. Eeehh, I think the Pale Garden and the Creaking are a disappointment (in its current state, dont give me any "This is just an early look, they're gonna change it to make it better".). What I got was they wanted to make an eerie creepy feeling. But the number of trees in such a cramped space gives me more of a swamp vibe, like that biome that frogs spawn in. And the lack of color is alright, but with the clustering of trees and unevenness of the ground, it just looks like a pain in the ass to walk across. You're probably more likely to just build above the trees and travel via walking on leaves. I think the Deep Dark in its reveal video was much more eerie. Because it was dark and quiet, and the player crept through the cave. And then they stumble and make a noise, and something in the darkness responds. When the darkness effect happens, the player freezes because you don't know what's around you or what's coming towards you. When the Warden appeared, the player throws an object into the distance and sneaked away, hoping that your distraction is more enticing than you are. Whereas the Pale Garden and Creaking are more annoying to cross meanwhile a bunch of annoying things keep following you. And the weeping angel system isn't that scary because of how obvious the Creaking is with its eyes. If the Creaking closed its eyes when you looked in its direction, but periodically opened them (to "check" if you're still looking) then maybe sure, especially if it blended into the environment more. Also I think it's bad that (from what it appears like) every Creaking mob just walks towards you like a zombie horde. I think it'd be spookier if you could walk up to and by a Creaking and after you get past it you hear a sound and turn around, and the Creaking is suddenly in a different place or position. I think the Creaking mobs should actually take damage or somehow be prevented from approaching the player, otherwise they're just a wall that you have to walk around every time. The Creaking Heart idea I think is good, being surrounded by monsters but the only way to stop them is to find and destroy the center control is nothing new in horror. But I think the "hit the Creaking and it immediately points to the weakness" is bad entirely. They mentioned that the Pale Garden is suppose to be quiet and eerie. Why not have the Heart make a noise now and then, or when a Creaking mob is killed?
I wish so much that the Minecraft Live look at the movie was just the actual trailer! It communicates far more that people care about this movie for more than IP money, and that there was genuine care put into it
17:02 I really don't understand why they thought that the best way to make "A Minecraft Movie" is live action. In fact why didn't they consult any creators or maybe even make a public poll on what type of movie they would like in one of the Minecraft events, like a mob vote, it feels like almost no one wanted a live action movie in the community.
I wouldnt have wanted another generic animation, it's been done to death both small scale and in movies. Finally an attempt at something that will actually require more talent and effort, and although of course not brand new as a concept it is a lot less done than animations, and people are whining so much. This is why so few companies take chances, and we get the same products and movie sequels/remakes over and over.
@@wyterabitt2149 Making something new doesn't make it good, if you are exhausted of animation movies that's fair, but clearly most people would prefer another animation movie, like Mario. Pokemon and Sonic worked because it was an animated character in a real world, it's easier to do that, a real person in a "virtual" is difficult to do well, from the trailers it just doesn't look good, the animation isn't even bad, but the characters stand out like a sore thumb
my take: white wood is super cool, can be used in place of quartz, and mesh well with other woods. The bundles are cool and all, but 64 for space in it feels a bit too little, it would only be useful to store itens that you only have a little in it, otherwise, i feel like it's an "early-game" shulker box. using the bundles as a present box is very nice tho. on the pale garden itself and the Creaking, i think that, unless in the future, they add SOMETHING to do with it - a drop and a new recipe - the biome will be mostly unvisited, after getting what you want from it. small update overall, i just hope that we get something MORE to do in the game, like the Trial Chambers, but in The End, or even a new boss that we only fight after the Ender Dragon.
Why else would he know about the Creaking other than to maybe make an animation about it? Considering that's what happened in the show anyway... I doubt a fully fledged music video could've been made in a month, but still. Could've had some Fallen Kingdom Creaking story in the works, or it's being made now!
About the damage, it's probably gonna be common to see multiple Creaking wandering about. So if you let too many gang up on you, the small damage would add up, especially with their fast attack speed (I assume they have decent attack speed because why wouldn't they). With all the trees, it would probably be hard to keep them in sights at all times. Especially if they still move even if you can see them through moss, if that doesn't count as in-sight because they would technically be behind a block, slightly see-through or not.
Jack Black part feels like a lie when they say "how yeah he loves the game, everyone can be Steve" because he recently acting very disrespectful toward minecraft players who didn't like the movie trailer, and we found out he had a contract for a second minecraft movie where Steve would be the main character, he was supposed to appear as Steve on several events, the reason is he really wanted to represent Steve he wanted it to be his "main role" which goes totally against what they pretended here So the little marketing move for the movie.. not sure Other than that everything seem good, we'll see how it goes on long term
@@DajuSar point was he didnt have to like the game he had several contracts worth millions for his role of Steve, which may have influenced his interest toward the game (other than the fact it doesnt match with Mojang saying they want Steve to be "anyone") In some way I understand him he was always cast for bad roles and he apparently didnt like that so like most actors do these days he wanted to solidify his career by having one main role, which happened to be Steve, thats why he's so concerned in being Steve, more than the game itself
The director stated why several times. "We wanted to do something that had never been done before!", he kinda beat us over the head with it. I'll give them this, the prop design is solid. Honestly this was a better advertisement for the Minecraft film than the trailer was.
The problem with A Minecraft Movie is that they're trying to take Minecraft in their own direction, which isn't a bad thing when you're playing Minecraft, but is a sure-fire way to make sure your movie is gonna fail in the movie-making business. We've seen this with many remakes. Velma, the Little Mermaid remake, the works. The Minecraft movie taking itself in another direction is will alienate it's audience. When people want to watch Minecraft, they want the real deal, but the Minecraft Movie isn't that. It's different, in a bad way, (And the ugly animation does NOT help). ONLY Minecrafters would like this movie. That isn't necessarily gonna destroy the movie on it's own (the Minecraft community is a big community, after all), but that does mean that if it can't appeal to the target demographic, it won't appeal to anyone. And thus no one will watch the movie.
They should add biomes that get crazier the further from spawn you go. Like 50,000 blocks out you start getting a chance to spawn floating islands or something crazy
"dang 5 hearts a hit" i'm not sure if this was a joke or if he mistook the 5.5 -> 5.0 hearts as 5 hearts of damage. I wish it did more damage, it seems like a bit of a push over.
The thing ignores armor though, and they can swarm you. Plus, you can't push past them, or kill them, and they move unless you stare directly at it, so if there's 2, 1 can still move and attack you while the other is frozen in place, so it adds up pretty quick. In the aftershow gameplay Jens got swarmed and almost died from like 5 of them. Adding to that, you have to find and destroy the creaking heart to get rid of them, so it can get pretty difficult and pretty out of hand pretty darn quickly.
@@Banananananananananananaaanna I watched the entire thing, pre show, main show, and after show, and I didn't make up a thing. You can see in one of the clips used the player has full armor, either diamond or netherite, and still takes a half heart of damage, same with iron. The creakers in the after show attacking Jens would keep moving while he stared at one, and they pointed out that you can't push them, they root into the ground when stared at. Literally every single thing I said was true, so maybe you missed those clips in the live? They were shorter segments.
Jordan, I have an idea. Make a POV version of all the Fallen Kingdom videos from the King, the Prince, the Village Elder, Queen, etc. Maybe do some niche characters like the guy who shot an arrow in Dragonhearted, but was hit by a fireball. Maybe not do this on UA-cam with the amount of videos that would create, but it would be interesting to see. Hopefully you see this.

I never thought of Steve as a joker he seemed like a guy who wanted to explore nervous but ready for adventure so its odd jack black will make Steve just funny just for a movie when Steve seems like he would rise above it all to protect the ones he loves
Let's be honest, this is just Jack Black being himself not playing a character.
Really wish the creaking was way more threatening. Have it be stronger and faster, and make it so that it closes its eyes after it notices that you're looking at it. So you just get to catch a brief glimpse of its eyes.
Honestly, I wasn't convinced about the minecraft movie at first, but I feel like it at least has a chance after the movie section
Minecraft could have its own theme park. With Vanilla Land in the hub, and various SMPs, mods, and even Education Edition in Lands surrounding it. There would have to be a lot of IP sign-on but I think a lot of people could potentially be enthusiastic about it.
I love Agnes, you can tell she’s just so excited about anything they ever have to talk about
The pale garden would benefit from fog.
The sword is awesome honestly
Jokes on you, I have some hearts to farm WOOO
This probably isn't the case, but all that villager XP gave me the idea that the creaking kills any creature that gets near it, and when it kills them, they drop XP. Thus, the heart would become an amazing block for farms.
Don't blink, blink and you're dead! Don't look away Don't turn around and DONT BLINK!! good luck
"I'm not in the movie guys!" as his face goes bright red lmao
I'd love to see the pale oak saplings, and it'd be interesting if growing them would create an effect similar to podzol.

Hey, look. It's Steve.
(Guy with a beard in a blue shirt.)
Oh yeah, having to listen for like a wooden thumping would be cool
Minecraft isn’t even a horror game, Also it’s a GOD DAMN WEEPING ANGEL
wow,one mob and a recolored forest,so exciting...
oh so THATS why some of the minecraft movie trailers shots looks so off from other shots, some of it is practical effects and others are CGI

I cant wait for “I Summoned 1008 Creaking in Survival Minecraft” on lifesteal season 8
The reason the creeper is "hairy" in the movie is because creepers are made of moss
Haha did they just see all the horror mods and stuff like From the Fog that got popular on UA-cam?
I wish so much that the Minecraft Live look at the movie was just the actual trailer! It communicates far more that people care about this movie for more than IP money, and that there was genuine care put into it

I really don't understand why they thought that the best way to make "A Minecraft Movie" is live action.
Pokemon and Sonic worked because it was an animated character in a real world, it's easier to do that, a real person in a "virtual" is difficult to do well, from the trailers it just doesn't look good, the animation isn't even bad, but the characters stand out like a sore thumb
shout out to Bruno DAN UY videoboming Captain Sparkelz vid XD
Nice doctor who reference with the Weeping angels which are Similar to the Creaking.
They added Reddick to Minecraft.
Vin Diesel really gets around
GROOT REDDICK!!

God they're heavily leaning into horror, started with the cave sounds, then the warden, and now the creaking.
I would say that's a positive thing
@@markoltr6756 Never said it was negative either, I for one welcome the features to scare more children.
6:53 Yooo! They use Aseprite! 👌

Referencing "The Last Minecart" was a deep cut
the creaking heart seems like a cool concept as long as the biome isn't so large that you have to travel a far distance to find the heart.
Doesn’t need to yell in your face
my take: white wood is super cool, can be used in place of quartz, and mesh well with other woods.
The bundles are meant for the straggler items that you get while exploring. That's why they can hold 64 of any combination of items, not just 1.
Ur a classic Captain, of course you're gonna be in a big Minecraft event!
There are gonna be 2 Minecraft lives starting next year so unfortunately we don’t get the end update this year
Why else would he know about the Creaking other than to maybe make an animation about it? Considering that's what happened in the show anyway... I doubt a fully fledged music video could've been made in a month, but still. Could've had some Fallen Kingdom Creaking story in the works, or it's being made now!
CaptainSparklez thinks he can pull an Andrew Garfield on us, no need for trolling Jardoon, you're in it 🙃
About the damage, it's probably gonna be common to see multiple Creaking wandering about. So if you let too many gang up on you, the small damage would add up, especially with their fast attack speed (I assume they have decent attack speed because why wouldn't they).
With all the trees, it would probably be hard to keep them in sights at all times. Especially if they still move even if you can see them through moss, if that doesn't count as in-sight because they would technically be behind a block, slightly see-through or not.
they also dont take knockback so you can get boxed in from all angles technically.
Jack Black part feels like a lie when they say "how yeah he loves the game, everyone can be Steve" because he recently acting very disrespectful toward minecraft players who didn't like the movie trailer, and we found out he had a contract for a second minecraft movie where Steve would be the main character, he was supposed to appear as Steve on several events, the reason is he really wanted to represent Steve he wanted it to be his "main role" which goes totally against what they pretended here
So the little marketing move for the movie.. not sure
Other than that everything seem good, we'll see how it goes on long term
He loves the game! Never played it before
@@DajuSar point was he didnt have to like the game he had several contracts worth millions for his role of Steve, which may have influenced his interest toward the game (other than the fact it doesnt match with Mojang saying they want Steve to be "anyone")
In some way I understand him he was always cast for bad roles and he apparently didnt like that so like most actors do these days he wanted to solidify his career by having one main role, which happened to be Steve, thats why he's so concerned in being Steve, more than the game itself
he's just an asshole in general tbh.
16:10 mad level of copium right here
It would be so much better if pale oak leaves didn’t get colored when in other biomes
also why couldnt they have just made the movie animated like the villager segment is lol
And thus no one will watch the movie.
real interesting take about the little mermaid remake. people disliked it because they made ariel black. theres nothing wrong with ariel being black.
They should add biomes that get crazier the further from spawn you go. Like 50,000 blocks out you start getting a chance to spawn floating islands or something crazy
Community: "We don't like mob votes! >:["
Minecraft: "....alright we'll decide then. Hey kid, ever heard of THE WEEPING ANGEL?"
It's like saying the warden is a clicker... and that yes, silverfish and spider are real life animals...
"dang 5 hearts a hit" i'm not sure if this was a joke or if he mistook the 5.5 -> 5.0 hearts as 5 hearts of damage. I wish it did more damage, it seems like a bit of a push over.
I think he genuinely though it was 5. He only looked at the hearts once the player got hit and he thought all those hearts were gone from 1 hit
@@Gayacegunslingerdid they say it ignores armor..?
@@Gayacegunslingeruh as someone who watched the live and the after show, why did you just make up things in your comment
It would also be interesting to see the POV of the Piglins General getting thrown into the fire. Maybe not do this on UA-cam with the amount of videos that would create, but it would be interesting to see. Hopefully you see this.
The second one will be called "a-nether minecraft movie" 😆
Creaker? Aww man
So we back in the pale...
Love the creaking. I want it to not be hostile to me once I place the black. Because I think they’re kinda cute.
Guys, Jordan is not in it! He's not the Werewolf ✋😐🤚
I feel like if when you place the heart down the mob spawns and if so it could be useful in pvp to guard your base
the creeper in the minecraft movie is all furry because its a style thats mean to blend in with the foliage, in which you can see more prehistoric fur like on raptors, where they can blend in well
this was horribly written but you get the gist
I know a lot of kids play minecraft but man i bugs me that the minecraft live people talk to us like we're children, kinda hard to watch at times... Does anyone else get that feeling?
It's the same as nintendo or pokemon showcases. they even talk about a load of crap that nobody cares about for the first 80% of the video.
I agree, but I do like that the tone they all spoke with wasn't so outrageous and obnoxious like it has been in the past. It seemed more formal if you know what I mean.
@@DisaBean I think that bald guy is the only one giving that overly energetic tone, Vuu? i believe?... Other than that i think everyone else was talking as they normally did
