Great interview. Watching Parker over the past years has been a pleasure. Love his Parents, and miss seeing those kind eyes, reflectiveness, and wisdom of Grandpa. Parker, you are truly blessed. Thanks for sharing a part of your life with friends you don't even know you have.
Loads of people give Parker hassle but he has proven everyone wrong, he has absolutely killed all competition on the show and at such a young age. He is a gold mining legend in the making and who knows what he will achieve in years to come.
you dont know shit about his grandpa. parker has found more gold then his grandpa did his whole life. his grandpa even said that in a episode. WOW i never found that much my whole life. when parker showed him the jars full.
The comments are funny 😂 Parker is only 23 and he has a lot of pressure on him, spend half a million just on fuel any of you without the guarantee of getting it back and see how nice you would be 😂
This was the best interview with Parker I have ever seen. I love that he was able to get past the routine questions he always gets and is able to show some of Parker the man. We were able to see a bit more of who he is and what drives him ( other than gold and money) . Listening to him actually talk of his strengths and weaknesses and laugh at himself and compliment others showed a different side than what us viewers normally get to see. All in all, seeing him smile and laugh and be kind was wonderful. Makes me want to meet him and get to know the real guy not the businessman.
I think I started watching Gold Rush in Parker's second season running his own operation in the Yukon. I didn't think much of him at first he was young with very little experience managing people and it really showed, he was just plain nasty to everyone. He's really grown in his role since then and I do truly have a lot of respect for him as a boss now. If I ever got the chance to go up there and gold mine I would want to be on Parker's crew!
Our family has been watching Gold Rush from the very beginning. Our favorite part of watching the show has been watching Parker grow up into the man he is today. Best of luck Parker!
The end of the interview cracked me up, when Dan Bova pulls out his gold and says: so what do you think I could trade this for. Parker: I don't know a joint.
Don't forget he also said "I love you Parker". They were a team. Grandpa and parker had something that many of us don't have and something we all could learn from.
Parker is a good kid. Granted he needs to work on his humane resources skills. He's ambitious and a risk taker. As an x gold miner as he states in this video, lots of money goes out to cover costs of getting to the gold. Kudos to Parker and continued success.
Parker's grandfather was a good man. He knew how to deal with people. Parker should replay his grandfather's advice over and over in his mind. "That", would help him immensely.
Hey not fucking working at wal mart lol!!! That's how they speak in camps. It's just ur answering to a 23 yr old what makes it tough!! Human skills, k guys it 4am. Right to left, how does everyone feel, lmao!!!
Gold Rush is more a glammer of who has the biggest and best toys to play in the mud with..Gold Mining in the real world doesn't cost 7 million a year to operate..The guys on Yukon Gold are realists and do it with old machines and dont even bother to try and spend more then they could possibly make..If you get a chance and haven't watched Yukon Gold I recommend it..They actually show the steps of making Gold and it running through the wash plant and isn't about the Drama..
I fully rebuilt and restored a 1973 JD350 bulldozer a few years ago, every nut and bolt, sandblasted and painted ever part myself. I cant even imagine doing it to a CAT D9 or D10.
That is ambitious. Did you use it afterward, or is it for show? I'll bet they won't do a restoration quality rebuild on his, as it will just get used and broken again, and they hopefully have many people to work on it. I know what you mean though, as just doing a partial restore or resto-mod on a small machine or vehicle can be quite a job.
CGT80 It should have been saved for shows. I did this project back in 2002-03. The owner used it occasionally so it's not perfect anymore. I think it has sat in a garage for the last few years and the tracks are stiffened up from not moving. If it was mine it would still look new :)
There are some great time lapse videos on here of full overhauls for D-11 or the others...Very cool and MONSTERS! ua-cam.com/video/uH6YfP5oWgs/v-deo.html
I've liked Parker since the very beginning of Gold Rush when working with his Grandpa. Sometimes the boss is not very popular, just giving out orders, and people take it wrong. Plus Parker is very young,,so yes he has a lot to learn about being the boss. But Parker is still young, give him a break, he's human and makes mistakes. Hopefully as Parker gets older he's more like his deceased Grandpa, who was a fine man. I think he will.
It has been satisfying to me to spend an hour a week watching Parker grow up. Face it. Its entertainment and so much more goes on plus created drama - not so much in the busiest camps - to make a product that isn't a swimsuit calendar of Todd. His success follows a familiar formula. Be knowledgeable. Surround yourself with good people. Hold yourself responsible. Parker grew up in a business oriented family. To his credit he kept with it. Having the good fortune of a production crew on site for a couple of summers was a mutual anf unforseen benefit. His relationship with John was more precious than anything all the crews have harvested the entire run of the show. Tony Beets taught Parker the realities of mining the first month Parker was in the Klondike. Tony had to have seen some quality in Parker or he would not have given him the time of day. Tony flat gets shit done. Its, as we are told, developed into an adversarial relationship. Now they're neighbors. Tony is a smart guy. He has used Parker to mine ground that he knew was going to be less profitable, plus charge him a premium to do it and using that income to finance what he likely has coveted for years. He pushed Parker until he got to where his operation produced enough to turn a profit. As neighbors though, they really are only competing with themselves. I hope upcoming seasons reveal not only realities of business but how neighbors' relationships are on the edge of civilation and relate to life on the frontier. Someday they are going to need each other.
It makes sense why Tony Beets uses dredges. It's more efficient from an overhead cost perspective. Can't imagine what the fuel costs are to run a bunch of excavators, bulldozers, water pumps, and rock trucks.
I wonder if Parker has ever considered getting in to rock crushing and crushing tailings? Also, Parker's relationship with his grandfather is what sold me on the show.
Parker wouldn't be around after the first year if it wasn't for Tony..Tony knows the value of his claims and does religious testing and knows what is in the ground he gave to Parker..Parker should worship the ground Tony made him rich with and should forever kiss Tony's ass..any miner would give his left nut to get the deal Parker had..Think he's a puke for making Tony look bad!..
IMO your all wrong, A lot of the footage is for entertainment purposes, made obvious when you watch any clips from the Hoffman crew. IMO Parker and Tony have a very good relationship, not only has Parker made Parker millions, Parker made Tony millions. You just have to watch the show like a soap opera and enjoy it for what it is, are the breakdowns fake? no is the drama between most people fake? most likely! i love the show either way!
Its a TV SHOW... Its made that way on purpose. The rivalry between them is a good thing. Yes tony tests his ground, but even drill tests are not 100% accurate he even said that himself. They give a general idea. If they were accurate Parker would of used the data and mined the rich areas first then moved to lean areas. Tony is just a smart business person, he knew no one else was going to give parker land so he made that contract. He is smart. Its business. Tony made alot of money for no work or cost. But really tony should of just mined the land himself and made more money.
WOW... Do you think Parker was right to shove the gold in the Hoffmans face in season one... The way he talks to his employees, Parker himself said he has made mistakes in his time up till now... As for bullying if parker felt that he could just walk away from the show and keep mining... Don`t forget he is recieving a pay check to be on the show no one is forcing him...
Thanks for making my point all kids are punk ass kids Parker is no expectation he just had a job as he was one... Even myself and yourself were/are punk ass kids...
I still find it hilarious that Todd went up there and thought he could treat Parker like some little kid and childishly make fun of him in that first season only to get his ass handed to him again and again until he was ruined mentally and financially.
Here is my idea for an awesome TV SHOW...........A small group of guys decide they want to go Gold mining ( Similar to Gold Rush, Discoveries most popular show ever ) But not Placer Gold they decide to go underground and mine Lode Gold ( Where most of the Gold is anyway ) So they go and explore a few abandoned mines looking for a good one. They find an awesome abandoned mine buy it, then form a mining company to raise funds to restore and operate this old mine. The stock is publicly traded on the stock market so the viewers or anyone for that matter can buy or sell shares at anytime. The show would be about the acquisition, development and operation of this old mine. The fact that viewers can own stock in this mine would be revolutionary because it would be the first show ever where viewers actually had a stake in the show they are watching! Lode mining is far more interesting and exciting than placer mining. You have explosives, history, terminology sights and sounds that most people have never seen plus all kinds of interesting minerals and rock formations as well as some danger.
Exploring Abandoned Mines you should hit Todd Hoffman up with this or crysto royal at discovery they had a haunted mine show on that was good for real mining minus the ghost hunting but great idea
I think the idea that a mine is no longer in operation is because everything worth mining has been mined. So essentially they'd be raising funds to dig a deep hole for no reason
Tony Beets made that kid rich.He needs to stop complaining.Tony put him on ground with gold on it making 3000-6000 oz a season. He could be like Rick getting a 1000 oz a season(if he's lucky) LOL. A 1000 oz is not a lot of money when you consider the over head.
Leo Ortega that has nothing to do with it Tony gave Parker a chance to mine good ground Parker had no ground in the Yukon it is because of Tony that Parker is where he is today......

You go for Parker nothing are in your way thats what are you born to do gold mining and remember what grand pa said when he was stil with us you are going to verry good and i am waching you from above like an aegle 🦅
good interview. Parker and the host have chemistry and it makes for a n informative and fun interview. Parker is growing up good. I hope he still has his girlfriend, she seems to have very positive personality.
Great interview. Watching Parker over the past years has been a pleasure. Love his Parents, and miss seeing those kind eyes, reflectiveness, and wisdom of Grandpa. Parker, you are truly blessed. Thanks for sharing a part of your life with friends you don't even know you have.
Nice interview. Glad Parker knows his strengths and weaknesses. Not many 23 year olds could handle a tenth of the responsibilities he had .
Great elders help
John schnabel was awesome
Parker has gotten so relaxed being interviewed.
Loads of people give Parker hassle but he has proven everyone wrong, he has absolutely killed all competition on the show and at such a young age.
He is a gold mining legend in the making and who knows what he will achieve in years to come.
If Parker becomes a quarter of the man his grandpa was he will be a great success in life and i do not mean just financially..
Dreama40 No offense we truly don't no shit about his grandfather... just what he was like in his 90s...
you dont know shit about his grandpa. parker has found more gold then his grandpa did his whole life. his grandpa even said that in a episode. WOW i never found that much my whole life. when parker showed him the jars full.
Wont happen. Hes an arrogant greedy fuck.

He was a good kid who turned into a decent man. His grandpa would be proud still today.
The end of the interview cracked me up, when Dan Bova pulls out his gold and says: so what do you think I could trade this for. Parker: I don't know a joint.
Absolutely Chris. The nicest and gentlest soul. It's comforting that he passed away knowing his grandson made it big.
Not a bad interview. He lets the guest talk.
He is a man....usually are the women interviewers that constantly interrupting guests.
Gold Rush is one of the best shows on tv.
"what do you think i can trade that for?"
Parker: "Idk A Joint." 🤔🤣😁👍🏽 17:50
Herby Maldonado 20 dollars a joint in the Yukon
That's a pretty expensive joint xD
John was a great man and he taught Parker everything he knew about the business.........
@Terry Williams wow, you really need to take some responsibility for your life. You can do better, please try.
His first confusion is the statement of Managing People. You do not manage people Kid, You lead them. You manage your resources. Love the show
you know his grandpa is looking down from heaven and saying, that's my grandson.
Don't forget he also said "I love you Parker". They were a team. Grandpa and parker had something that many of us don't have and something we all could learn from.

He is very mature for his age. And be able to handle his older employers. Seam to be very intelligent. Good show!
what a cool interview
Parker is grounded and very mature for his age, very nice hardworking young man!
Parker is a good man for his age not too many young guys like him today don't stop Parker keep going
Brilliant Parker. Great show !! #GoldRush #Parker
That and your temper Parker, but we still love you! Love your know how at a young age! Your grampa taught you very well!
You can't beat the kid....
Tony Beets royalties are structured to punish production. Can´t blame Parker for wanting to leave Tony, where his production will now be unbound.
Marcus Aurelius Tony also brought fame to Tony by association with Parker. He now gets a nice payday from discovery.

very very good interview you the man Parker
Great guy, loved watching him grow his operation. It has been great.
Parker should give Tony credit he made parker into what he is today he gave him a chance ...
Magwa Magwa no he didnt..Parker knew what he was doing..Todd.didnt.
Leo Ortega that has nothing to do with it Tony gave Parker a chance to mine good ground Parker had no ground in the Yukon it is because of Tony that Parker is where he is today......
Parker has mentioned a couple of times that he owes everything to Tony
Tony gave him an opportunity. Parker had the work ethic and know how to take advantage of the opportunity.

The kid is very smart and well spoken for 23 years old!! I wish he would treat his employees better rather than blowing up at them.
Great interview enjoyed every minute, this guy has worked hard from a young age & deserves to reep the rewards 👍👍👍
Parker is a driver. And so beyond his years.
I love Parker........but I can't stop watching the people in the background window😂
Anyone else notice the people in the window across the street.

no

This kid is special, who else his age deals with millions in business were the men who work for u are hard as f
His maturity has grown tremendously, the guy is speaking like a 60 year old!
I kept pausing this thinking 💭 wtf? The sirens wailing outside of the building are driving me crazy!
I’ll tell you what amazes me in the gold aspect of gold rush.. The fact that a flake of gold will find a place to settle on the mats with the water rushing like it is. And on the other side a 3 inch rock will blow the end and not settle down on the gold mats.
What is going on in the window across the street?
Great job Parker....
Parker’s the man !
Proof that hard work will get you there.. Ya, he had the opportunity built in. But his work ethic got him here.
Great interview
Parker hit every branch comin down.
Turns out it was a money tree
How many hours did Parker spend on the mine this season
that is the key to success, move gold bearing dirt as quickly and efficiently as possible
Haha that last 3 seconds cracked me up
Gotta love Parker!!!
What are the people in the building behind them doing?

explore parkers mine?
That would be about as much fun as visiting a gravel pit!

I couldn't stop watching the people in the other building

Parker will soon own tons of land and lease it to 18 year olds for 15 percent royalties
Another 40 he's already there as for Tony he doesn't have to lease any land or anything for anyone he just let's parker work his land to finance his future toys a fucking genius and a Icelandic Canadian go for the home team give em shit Tony he's not working hard enough 4 you ..
How does the small flakes of gold actually get caught when the water is rushing the way it does
Love to watch gold rush, but wonder if these workers get a percentage of the finds or are at a fixed hour rate.. ..
FransJBM Blaas they do get an percentage but I also wonder if they get a fixed minimum rate
They get a hourly rate and also share in a percentage i believe its 1-2% of the yield each.
keep that gold fever bud, not to many men can experience that glory these days!
