I think it’s different for every student but here in SMU they really drill us on presentation skills like how in every class you’re expected to speak up and get graded on “class participation”. In fact many students have to go through a “debate style” interview to enter SMU, so perhaps it’s just cause they put more emphasis on our soft skills here! But I’m sure the students at NTU and NUS have such opportunities too:)
