    Brings back memories, including digging out my slightly stuck Maule.

    This is the greatest! The laugh says "reject friends having too much fun"! I can only imagine if Don Sheldon had a youtube channel...

      If we could slap a go pro on all the early great Alaska bush pilots I would subscribe to that shit in a heart beat!

    Hmm. I need new friends and one with a Maule. This was fun to watch and had an uneventful end 😎👍

    Excellent video. I'm just starting out ski flying and found this helpful. Pretty good floatation considering the load out you had on this flight.

      Yeah 1000 pounds is a bit to carry into deep snow. I need smaller friends. :)

    "You have a shovel, right?" Ha! This Idaho mountain ski pilot totally sympathizes, my issue is rocks, just barely covered.

      I think I’d take the deep snow! Rocks sure don’t give much do they?

      @@olivercoray It can be hard on the plastic bottoms for sure, but never have hurt any structure. Worth it!

    what great fun, wish we had opportunities for glacier and snow landings here in Puget Sound and Washington. Noticed that you have SeaPlane Doors. Did you install, have someone else or or or..... STC or factory kit?

    • @olivercoray
      @olivercoray 2 роки тому +1

      It was an STC, installed before I bought the plane. It’s a really nice mod, if I’m not flying fast you can leave them open. I’m redoing all of plastics soon and plan on changing the doors a little more, adding some plaid glass to the back doors

    I wish I had the money to take a $100k+ vehicle and treat it like it’s a snowmobile 😢

    What you did is stupidly risky. Too many things to go wrong.

      With risk comes reward. Beats sitting on the couch watching UA-cam videos of other people living their best lives.
