This by-product can be used in many ways to generate some income for the ladies. Here are a few ideas. The women can ferment it and use it as a bokashi inoculant to sell to farmers for pest control in their farms. can be used to grow mushrooms which can bring in a nice income, it can be used as a fertilizer and a soil cover for the garden, feed for chickens, and some other animals. Can be sifted and turned into wheat bran, and can be used as a building material for their houses to strengthen the walls. Someone just has to go there and show them how to create these simple businesses.

Rice husk can be pressed into oil, stuffed into pillows, composted into fertile soil, used in fermentation to make alchohol, made into charcoal, mixed into mud bricks, even fed to animals to extend food and provide fiber. So dont just leave the waste there use the waste as well. If they can create things using the wasye, they can make a profit.

Thank you David, It means so much to us, when you allow us to journey into Nigeria and encounter the reality of our People in Nigeria.
I have resided in Naija and traveled to parts of Nigeria; yes, it breaks my heart, that any One person would have to suffer for a meal, let alone the Elderly.
I love the fact you encourage education throughout your travels to our People. Yes, education will give our People the knowledge of how to deal with the injustices of the greedy and those in power who do not share knowledge, nor teach our People how to excel from poverty.
President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, holds the key to developing our People and their perspective African countries, through education, hygiene and pride. More African Leaders should take notice, for the sake of our People and development of Africa.
David, you are on the right path; keep up your good work.

To help these people, you need to know what kind of soil they have. What kind of food can grow in that area? Then introduced some form of agriculture, so that community can become sustainable. The most important things that people need are water, food, shelter and clothes. What are the natural resources the community have that can be used to benefit the people and generate an income? These some of the things the local government should look at...

I understand that Nigeria used to be self-sufficient in produce before the oil was found and corruption became rife. Produce like yams, garrri, okra chicken and goat meat …and so on are delicious and sustaining, but became ‘poor man’s food’.. I loved Nigeria and feel so badly for these women. This is not a simple life..

Very interesting aspect in this village.🎉🎉🎉 They should release an army of chickens to roam over this yellow mount. Never mind the droppings, coz after drying, people can collect them as precious fertilizers😂😂😂😂.
If the agriculture department won't do it, someone should teach them to use these husk into planting yams, sweet potato and potato.
Spread them in rows in their backyards, mingle with cow or chicken droppings, and kitchen scraps. And then plant seeds.
Each row 2 feet high and 2 feet wide.
Also it can be used as feed for pigs mixed with edible leaves, and wonderful for fish ponds.
    🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
If there is fruit juice factory nearby, find a way to dump the processed pulp to dump in a selected dry area. After a year that area can be turned into great fertile soil.

Please indicate the Local Government Area and State in Nigeria. Would you believe that the Governor of this State receives Budget allocations every year?Nigerian politicians all claim to be developing their rural communities.

That's why during voting 🗳 they will give salt 🧂 to buy their vote 🗳 and they will be very happy to sell their vote for salt. 🧂 you can't blame them because of their means of living it quite sad.
