- Here is my 2016 ram 2500 cummins turbo diesel. It is a Laramie sport, with a 6"bds four link lift. 8 Fox shocks total on this truck. Running 37x13.50R20 toyo MT tires on 20 x10 fuel maverick rims with -12mm offset.

Thanks for the comment. 8 foot bed is nice. but having the megacab just stands out so much more. plus people fight over wanting to sit in the back because its so big and the seats recline. also they're heated!

Beautiful truck. I couldn't ever do that lift and tires cuz I work and tow too much with my truck. But it's awesome for if you don't do that stuff as much. Or if you want ground clearance from brush so it won't scratch the shit out of your paint job. Definitely a cool off roader if you're into that sort of thing but I mean I wouldn't off road an $80,000 truck lol.

i still haven't decided what i want to do with my stock tires and rims actually. they are brand new take offs pretty much. this truck was brand new when the lift was installed.

I have same year just tradesman edition was the lift kit necessary for a purpose ore just for looks. Just wondering because lifted trucks don't offer same towing abilities. Awesome truck though like the mega cab for camping purposes.
David Petker it wad done for looks. and the only reason the towing goes down is because of the tite size. nothing to do with the lift itself

What other mods are you planning on doing? I just got a 2016 Ram 3500 SRW Megacab Cummins with the sports appearance package, all blacked out and pretty much almost every option available other than air suspension. Had to custom order it
i plan on doing quite a bit actually. light bars. one for the front and 2 on the new rack i installed.( Check my instagram for updates). amp power steps, waiting on the XL more the megacab though. some interior stuff. tuner, still unsure about the full delete. exhaust tip. some powder coating to be done shortly. Builds are endless lol
How much weight have you towed with this set up? Just got 2018 model of this truck and looking at some mods, but I’m on the fence about messing with suspension since I pull at 30ft trailer that weighs 10,000 lbs! Any advice or insight regarding towing capabilities with your tire, rim suspension set up? Awesome setup you got there
Brent I put a full lotus rack with a full size UTV in the box. Then I tow a 24 foot hybrid trailer with a race ATV on the front deck. Loaded with all supplies and kit I'm carrying/ towing around 8000lbs . 0 issues whatsoever but I have added red label ride rite 5000lb airbags in the rear with a 4" spacer block . I've towed straight highway and also through the Rockies!

It's a piece of small plastic that won't do a goddamn thing. There are 100s of was the rock will make on the hood of your truck, if it even gonna fly up that high.
Same setup I have. I ordered 20x9 0 offset Hostile Exiles and will be putting Nitto Ridge Grapplers 37x12.50r20. Running 35 on stock rims now. Does the truck feel like it has enough get up and go? I thought about replacing mine with 4.10 gears but I will probably let it go for a bit.
my rims are 20x10 and tires are 37x13.50 the extra inch wide makes a big difference in gas mileage. I wouldn't worry about the 4.10 gears. it's alot of money for something that's not a huge deal. if you want more power do a complete delete and tune.

How the ride quality with the 6" lift over stock?
Awesome truck. Maybe a Raceme tuner with turbo back exhaust next...he he he The Raceme service team up there in Canada was very helpful to me.

I've heard good things about both. I ended up with the Raceme because it unlocks the truck as well. Bought the Raceme and 5" turbo back exhaust for $1670.00. From what I understand with EFI you have to set the parameters for the tune compared to the Raceme where it is already preloaded. I wanted the easy way out lol

I bought it from Monster Exhaust Performance online. That was was with the Flo-Pro 5" turbo back stainless steel exhaust and free shipping. That was the the best price I could find.
Love the truck. Which tonneau cover is that? I have a soft cover and it's cheap. Would like to switch to what you have...

did this lift kit help with the ride quality? I have a 2015 2500 cummins and the ride absolutely sucks. I've been told with a good quality kit it'll smooth out
honestly i thought my truck road amazing stock. thats why i went with a 2500 vs a 3500 because it has the coil springs in the rear. the lift kit itself improved the trucks ability to go offroad and take larger bumps better. it still drives the same. the thing that makes the ride quality a bit more firm is the fact i now have 37" tires that are very heavy and makes you feel the little bumps in the road.
if money is no issue to you and you want the very best ride for your truck. i highly suggest kelderman air ride suspensions. the truck will be night and day difference. but you gotta pay to play.

Really cool and all... but I'm truly not a fan of just buying a truck from the dealer... Like I know chevy sells a truck that's all lifted and blacked out and it looks really cool... but I've seen so many of them on the road! I follow a truck page on Facebook and they posted a pic of a chevy, and like 3 dudes in the comments were like "I just bought that same truck from the dealer"... Call me weird but I believe a truck that you build yourself puts a soul into it and makes it unique. But hey that's just me, anyways still super badass and YES I am jealous of it too because it's awesome. Thanks for the video
onlylikenerd thanks for the comment. this wasn't bought from the dealer like this. I bought the truck fully loaded then added all this on afterwards. I researched what I wanted for over 1 year when ordering this truck from factory.
if you look on my channel and check out my ram 1500 video you will see a truck that was 100% built in my garage with help from friends at times. you would like that one much more I think.

Yeah man I just can't stand all the guys bragging about their dealer bought trucks when they bought them lifted and stuff... takes a real man to do the work himself over a long period of time or at least save money and have a mechanic slowly add new cool parts to your truck to make it your own unique piece of machinery! wear did you get that AVS bug deflector? All I can find is the skin one that sits way closer to the paint than the one that you have on your truck!

Did your truck come with the 3rd shock? Its bolted from a bracket from the bed to the top of the rear axle. Its called hope damptener.

I looked for those mud flaps from Trigger industries for mine. WOW they are expensive!!! I would have never thought them to be over 1500.00 US dollars. I need them though lol

Do you actually use the mega cab part of it? Is it really worth it?? I’m contemplating getting a mega cab or just having the 8.5 foot bed.
I use the megacab part all the time. If your towing a 5th wheel alot it's just easier with the long bed. But when you fold the seats flat inside theres soo much room.
good looking truck, i have a 2016 ram 2500 longhorn. so my question is how is the ride quality? rough? same as stock? if you have airbags in the rear suspension, does it still the same as stock? have you have any problems witb ball joints ?
Juan Cano it's a bds lift. so all geometry is maintained. 0 issues on ball joints. ride quality is awesome. a little rough but that's because the tires are 10 ply.
Juan Cano and I don't have the airbags from factory. if I did I wouldn't have been able to lift it. I will be adding airbags soon though

I literally have the identical truck just in pearl white and am doing the exact same bds lift/ tire and rim size as soon as the snow melts. Any info is greatly appreciated. Great rig. BikeObsessed! BikeObsessed! ride is awesome. of coursewith 37" toyo mt tires you feel the bumps in the road. i have the 3.42 gears and it drives perfectly fine. no struggle at all. gas mileage went from around 13/l100 up to 16-18l/100

my truck when it was stock averaged around 12-13 L/100 and best i hit on the highway was 9.4 L/100
With the lift and tires on. i average around 16 L/100 and once i put the rack on im at 18 L/100. its the tires that kill the mpg the worse. and with my rack on its the air hitting it that makes it worse.
this is with 3.42 gears which comes stock with the ram 2500

Brent i tow a toy hsuler for camping and i also put a sxs in the back. Doesnt affect towing. Just uses more gas

yes i ordered them from factory. i believe its a 200$ option Canadian currency. but ive done so much wiring in the past and then fuses and relays and switches its just so time consuming. this was a no brainer. saves me time and money in the long run. plus it looks awesome!

Very nice truck, I really like it congratulations, one question any rub on the front tires with the truck when you turn? also I notice those tires the maximum psi you can put is 65 psi and the sensor require 80psi the back tires, I have a problem trying to reset the psi light to 65 on the truck, the dealer said they not longer able to do it because state law or federal law and the truck system wont allow you anymore too, were you able to reset yours? or you have the light for low air tire ON all the time?
Comtechso I have 0 issues with rubbing with the tire wheel combo I have. also you are correct about the 65 psi max. I phoned toyo tire directly and for this truck minimum psi is 47 and max is 61. my tpms light is always on because of the rears. and it's because the computer system is so well protected they can't get a computer to change. so currently there is no fix for the light.
Thanks for your information, I read on the web that somebody was able to reset the psi but you have to call dodge for a code and with specific equipment they were able to do it , however I will do more research, thanks enjoy your truck bro.

did you have any problems with the bug deflector clips? Mine would have scratched my hood if I were to force them on...

Nice truck. I have a 2015 MC 'Sport Limited". Picture a Limited with the SAP. I want to go with the BDS 4-link as well. Where did you purchase and who did the install? I want a good shop as I know there is some welding involved. Thanks for your service.
LOOSEWHEEL01 awesome choice in truck. i bought it in the states from one of my sponsors. i got a dealership here to install it all. because like you said there is a little bit of welding. the dealer has done 100's of these exact lifts. they did an amazing job. and being an aircraft mechanic i went over it with a fine tooth comb. no complsints.

Kaled harbi the ride is awesome. very smooth on and off road. this truck stock won't fit in your garage. this one is lifted 6" and 37" tires. you will need minimum a 9 foot door. but 10 feet to be safe.
I have the same exact truck except in silver. I'm about to order a 7" lift and 38" tires. How does the truck handle the bigger tires? Big loss in performance and mpg?

+Foxamusprime I'm looking at the fab tech setup. I will read through your comments and see. Do you feel you lost much performance? I don't tow anything heavy, but when I tow my boats I don't even notice them back there. I can't imagine with 800+ lbs of tq the bigger tires will kill the performance all that bad. I don't drive the truck like it's a hot rod. Just a highway cruiser.
Craig Patterson I drive it the same way. not a huge loss in performance just mpg. fabtech is decent have you checked out bds or even mcgaughys. they're pricey. but you get what you pay for
+Foxamusprime I did look into bds and most every other kit. From what I'm being told I don't need to go to a 4 link for just interstate driving. I don't do any off-road stuff. I am still trying to decide, but to run a 38 I have to go with a bds 8". Then I'm afraid it will have to much gap for a 38.
Craig Patterson bds offers a non 4 link kit. it is cheaper. I just opted for the 4 link because that's what I wanted. also why so set on the 38's

Foxamusprime is that a option you ordered. ive looked at hundreds of trucks and havent found that option yet. it looks so good color matched.
david harenza yes it was an option for 2016 when I ordered mine. it's only available on certain colors. not all colors. but it's well worth it

they are 14" wide mudflaps and the rims are 20x10 fuel mavericks with a -12 offset

What size bed? And what do you think about the 6 speed option?
with the megacab you can only get a 6.5' bed. if you want an 8' bed you either have to go with a crew cab or pay a company to stretch and convert it. i have the 6 speed automatic transmission and i like it. it hasnt given me any issues so far and overall 0 complaints!
Foxamusprime I feel dumb for not knowing that. And I mean 6 speed manual. I want a 14 mega cab Laramie but don't know if I should go manual or automatic
automatic transmission gives you a little bit more hp than the manual. i believe its only around 15-20 hp difference. i like the automatic because i wanted the center console. you cant get that with a manual.

yes I'm running 3.42 gears.
What been the mpg and how long does the def last l?
Dr V DEF lasts about 10,000 kms. and my mpg with it lifted is around 13-14. when it was stock it was 24 mpg.

You can't tell the difference really I just like the look of it and it was an upgrade so I selected all the upgrades from bds
Is that third break light factory?
yes the third brake light is an option from factory. very bright and handy. I'd highly recommend it.
How long is the bed for the mega cab?
the bed only comes in a 6.5' option for the megacab. there is a company that will stretch it to an 8 foot box
