Perhaps it is because this moment of the explosion was a super traumatic moment for him that makes him still remember a lot about that song

Tbh i get the feeling that tabi somewhat has a good side, despite the fact that he felt really worried about boyfriend having dementia and blaming girlfriend for it just makes me think that this whole time tabi has been defending us in the whole game not because he wants boyfriend to join his side but to protect other people that ever has a relationship with the dearest family once if they trust too much and ended up like him and loses everything so he tries to make the others not feel what he feels after what daddy dearest has done to him

What's insane is despite this BF, is more or less in some form of coma at most in "Everywhere at the end of funk." Due to GF being missing and every character being more like ghosts or blurry even Senpai is completely missing besides his ghost form there to basically pull BF to the afterlife, as well in his final song with Senpai, you can hear a flatline and everything thus in the mod BF actually dies, so for fan mods like this it's far from accurate at the OG mod, but it's still a fun twist I like how you got rid of most notes for BF unlike most fan mods for this one mod for other mods... But yeah if you were to try more true to the OG mod... GF, wouldn't be with BF, BF is basically hospitalized and Tabi would look more transparent and mostly static as for the songs and charting maybe slow Tabi's voice down a bit and it's basically closer to what you are going for... | No offence or anything just a personal grudge and cause the whole mod is out and whatnot... Voices aren't bad ether over all not a bad video...
Actually, it's only the remastered version of EatEoF where girlfriend is dead. In the original version of that mod, she's alive, and this video pre-dates the remaster by several months. Even if that weren't the case, though, no one is obligated to follow EatEoF's storyline for their own Caretaker-inspired mods.
This is simply BF in the first stages of dementia. As you can see, his mind is not totally deteriorated. Able to talk to GF and Tabi somewhat normally, yet clearly affected by the symptoms of the disease, quickly forgetting what he was talking about or where he is.
Not every mod has to be done in the last stages of dementia.
Also, in nowhere has ever been said that girlfriend is dead in everywhere at the end of funk. Just gone, since it's very common for people to leave their SO in the advanced stages of the illness.

Honestly I can’t thank you enough for doing EATEOF Vs Tabi mod. It was well done and honestly I’m kinda glad that Tabi is making Girlfriend feel responsible for boyfriend’s dementia. She has done very little for him and yet Boyfriend went as far as risking his own life just to be with her and so far the only thing she’s done for him is teach him how to rap. She’s always dependent upon him to save her ass all the time, even in life or death situations, and do most of the work in their relationship. Also, I’m pretty sure the bombs that went off probably would have either killed or put Boyfriend in a coma at this point. Please take your time with part 2.
Part 2 is sort of gonna be a dream BFs having while in a coma

But the way I see this mod playing out would be as follows: In the past, Boyfriend fought Tabi in a ferocious battle determined to protect his girlfriend from his revenge and prove that she’s changed which ultimately could have ended with all three of them dead. So, Tabi seeing a once fully confident and stubborn boyfriend in such a horrendous and degraded state would make him feel as though he’s somewhat responsible for what happened to him and as though he’s reliving his moments with Girlfriend leading up to the realization that she was using him when they were dating, his deformation inflicted upon him by her father, and her ultimate betrayal and abandonment of him. Tabi would ultimately hold girlfriend responsible for boyfriends incurable state of mind thus furthering his goal of wanting to put her down after failing to find and kill her in time to prevent her from ruining another life like she did with his.
