40:50 my bonnet doesn’t close easily under it’s own weight. It needs a forced pull down at the end. I’ve heard others have the same issue. Have they made the bonnet lighter since this video? I heard it’s made of aluminium.
This car feels cheaper than the Golf at some points: - No carpeting in doors - No carpeting in spare wheel area - No rear seat pockets (the Golf even gets 3 pockets per seat) - No rear armrest as standard, while the Golf even gets a rear hatch - Electric seats are always an option. It is a shame because I do like the look of the A3 a lot, but if I was really going for a premium c-segment car, I'd still get the 1 Series, CLA or A-class over this one. Nice review though! Keep it up.
Another great review, Josip! I prefer the styling of new A3 to the old model, much more dynamic, but it’s missing a few of the quality touches of older models.. Makes new Leon look incredible value for money!

Great review! I had the previous A3 which was fantastic. I drive the new A5 now. I feel that Audi have cheaped out on several areas in this new A3. Many materials seems cheaper in this one. Non adjustable cup holders, wtf? That's a deal breaker for me right there. The touch sensitive volume control is awful.
Seen the car in person, really nice even if some of the interior materials are not "perfect" like the last model, BTW any news of future engines choices? here we only have the 1.0 and the 1.5TSI petrol aviabile.... will a 2.0 liter TSI ever be aviabile?
@@JRCarReviews The seller told me that a 1.4 hybrid with 204 cv will be aviabile in the future, but they don't know if a 2.0 petrol will be ever aviabile (except the S3 wich is way too much for my budget), funny thing is that a 2.0 quattro with 190Hp is aviabile in all the other audi currently on sales (including the new a1).... I could get the 1.5 but the 7 speed DRY clutch gearbox is a big No for me... (and I cannot get any diesels because they are basically banned in my city) guessl I will have to wait and hope
Great video, my only complaint with inside the car is the AC control buttons have no lights on them, so when driving at night your guessing where the buttons are... and what your pressing. Other than that amazing car, very smooth, Sat Nav on the dash when driving is a nice touch
Not a fan of the removal of the Rotary wheel for the MMI, Feel like it's a step backwards. Otherwise it's a great looking car both on the inside and outside!

Tbh I've always found it lacking that the screen in the 8V A3 wasnt touch screen, I liked the dial aswell but it just feels outdated to me. Atleast the new MMI looks very clean and simple to use.
The car looks nice. It is clear there have been many cost savings. Light switch, headrests, centre console, bare painted door frames and blanks for optional extra buttons. You'd be mistaken for thinking that this is a budget hatch trying to go upmarket if you were unaware of the badge. A Megane is a much better car subjectively but Renault dont have the kudos which is unfortunate. I own a A3 8v S Line with the EA211 engine - yes it looks nice but its cheapo crap in reality. I've had Mercedes, Renault cars and dine mega miles but were out of my price range for a W205 C Class so got the 8v.... I don't understand how VAG cars have a great reputation as they are basic but over complicated with their electronics and coding requirements. The cheapo interior of this 8Y reminds me of a circa 2014 Citroen DS3 in terms of the plastic finish. Buy a Corolla, 308, Megane, Ceed instead

Jonas S Loads of plastic on the rear doors and centre front tunnel, only one lighting for the boot - think in my old A3 there were 2, single gas strut under the bonnet, steering wheel is the same as on the old A3 2015 version, side mirror LEDs used to be longer (now just a tiny spot, also cant see it blinking from the driver’s seat if you turn it on), the window switches in the doors are the same as the old A3, cupholders arent adaptive
Beautiful car, as always! It's an Audi. BUT very expensive without any super-luxury interior or something very different than the rest VAG alternatives. Typical Audi... If I wanted to spend that amount of money I would rather go for a merc, even though its style is much better!! Hard plastics, average seat covers quality, basic option is so so f.... poor as always (!) They don't even give as standard the cooling facility into the glove box!! What the fuck, even a small Picanto has it!!! Basic price 27K, real price 37K, it doesn't worth it!!! I don't want to talk about the price of the extra pieces of equipment. Would you like to add android Auto or Apple Car play? OK, it is 10.000 Euros!!!!
Show me a car that is made of better quality materials than this one, looks better inside and costs the same amount of money. The truth is that new and even previous A3s look much better than any new corollas, hondas etc...

This car feels cheaper than the Golf at some points:
- No carpeting in doors
- No carpeting in spare wheel area

It is a shame because I do like the look of the A3 a lot, but if I was really going for a premium c-segment car, I'd still get the 1 Series, CLA or A-class over this one.

This is not the "Virtual Cockpit". This is the standard in A3 "Digital Cockpit", which doesn't offer any customization when 'view" button is pressed.
Why do cars not come with a basic dashcam built in? It's 2020 that should be such a obvious feature by now. Tesla already did it
