Hi there sweet lady! Bestest groomer ever!
You know after really thinking about this style I bet it was created for two reasons.
1. To wear sweaters and such without worrying about matting but still give the appearance of long hair.
2. So the dog can eat and drink without having drenched or soiled hair dripping everywhere.
It makes sense and almost makes me want to consider it. I do not put clothes on Brooke even though I would love to and she does have them but it damages her hair too much so I just don’t do it any more. Also having to dry her long beard every time she drinks is quite annoying. This seems so much easier.
But I still just love her hair so much and I know she does too. She has learned it makes her special from the other dogs and she absolutely shows it off.

I charge a flat rate of $75 per dog for dogs in good condition with no parasites.

I have a Yorkie, a Shorkie and a Maltese. The boy, the Yorkie, has the best hair out of them all but his style needs an update. I like how you squared up his mustache and I like how you drape his legs. I've been looking for a new look for mine, but I was deathly afraid to snip off his Fu Manchu but your version is a good alternative. Thanks

I'm on my Third Yorkie. I have been grooming Yorkies for 17yrs. I always cut their hair. I learned off of YT all those years ago.
My little girl and I just moved in with my Son and his family. It's in the Township/Country he has 5 aches. it will be 2yrs in November, I call Marley the Country Yorkie Now!
When we first moved in I searched YT for a shorter style, Not a puppy cut a style. When we lived in my Condo she didn't go outside much, we had 19 stairs and fell down them and broke my leg once. She loves it here and we're outside often. Marley needed a shorter style so I was on a search looking at all the different groomers always wanting to learn. When I saw this style, I loved it but I was nervous!!! That was a lot of hair to cut off...
All my Yorkies had floor length hair.
With in the first 6mts she got flees and a Tick!!! I will say that I've watched this video over and over and over again!!! I am not a professional 😂
I did it the first time last spring and was worried she would Freeze 🥶 come Winter. Tomorrow will be my second time!!! It grew back last fall. As one other commenter said, it did make her clothes fit better! When it was very cold 🥶 she wore a sweater and a coat! Today it is almost down to the floor.If that might be your concern because you live in a cold environment! We live in Ohio, it gets cold! By fall her hair had filled in completely it grows back fast! If you take your Yorkie to a groomer or groom them yourself you know how fast their hair grows.
Wish us good luck. One more thing. I didn't buzz her body anymore during the Summer and Fall so it grows back and really fills in nicely!
I do her feet/pads, and nails. My little girl is 3,5lbs. her head and face are very similar to this little boy. I don't cut her face so short!. Her top knot is longer also. It takes me a little longer! She gets tired 😴

First I want to say you did an amazing job. You are very talented. I just couldn’t do that to my baby girl though. Her hair is so gorgeous and absolutely the most beautiful characteristics of these dogs in my opinion. I mean my dog’s hair looks more healthy and full than mine does. 😂 She loves her hair too! After she is groomed (which I have always done her grooming myself because I’ve heard too many horror stories about what happen in the back of some groomers and the mere thought of someone being mean or rough with my baby brings me to tears) she always prances around like a total diva and the happiest dog in the world. It’s like she knows how beautiful her hair is and she loves to show it off after I’m done grooming her.
I love her so much. Her name is Lily Brooke but we usually call her Brooke or just BB.

Loved watching this professional Groomer you mentioned Florida I was wondering if you’re anywhere near me I’m in Lake Mary Florida. I just sent my 17 month old female to get out Asian fusion haircut and instead of angling the hair down they angled it up looks really strange. I thought they knew where the Asian fusion wasbeyond I got my dog groomed by you going to watch more videos

I wish my Yorkie was that good for her grooming. She gets tired of me and then starts to fight with me. I stop and wait for a day or two and then take her back and work on her some more.
I love your gentle manner with th little ones. I also like your grooming environment. I have a Yorkie that receives regular grooming every 5 weeks. In between, I bath her at home. I googled in my area no master groomer around. I love your explanation as you groom. I mentioned before my beautiful yorkie had worse cut. Would it be o.k to tell shop to watch you r video or is that insulting. They reversed Asian fusion cut wide top to narrow bottom ..I would like to give them another chance this shop has been in business long time.
I would recommend a screen shot of the haircut. Groomers are more accepting of a photo. Ask them if you can text it to them for reference. Then maybe say that you got the screenshot from a video and link the video. Subtle.

Why shave all the hair off Yorkshire Terrier’s are meant to have Long hair , if you want a short hair dog don’t buy a Yorky.
The owner requested the haircut. She has two in full coat, and two shorter.

What an incredible dog, and what an expert groom! Simply outstanding! I would like to know what is the advantage of importing a dog like this over buying one stateside, and why is there so much variety in Yorkie coats? Thank you Suzanne!
Expanding the gene pool is one reason breeders import. Too many dogs are too closely related in our country. European dogs have better top lines and movement in my opinion because they breed a little bigger. The focus on smaller size often leads to lesser quality. Terriers were included in the creation of the Yorkies for the ability to catch rats. These terriers left their mark on the breed in the various coat types you see, however only the silky coat is correct.

He did so great for his face trim! I struggle with holding tiny digs faces in a way where I don't mess up how the hair lies for scissoring. You make that look so easy 😊
Major is a very fine specimen. He should have the opportunity to father hundreds and hundreds of puppies. Being an unneutered male, I'm sure he would agree with me.

Is it dangerous to use a number 7 Blade near the little dog's face ?
The Artero Spektra clipper with the 7 blade that is designed for it is extremely safe. I would not use an A5 style 7F blade in sensitive areas.
