It'll never happen ... Jack is the eternal heel of Cultaholic, masquerading as a poor, inoffensive white-meat-babyface-in-beanies, but in reality he's the ultimate dark overlord behind the scenes, laughing at all of us Marks for thinking he'll EVER approach an Italian restaurant. And you know why? Because in reality, he doesn't LIKE Italian food. He's a Mongolian Barbecue kinda heel, I'm certain of it!
Ross starting off with the music pitch right as The Judgement Day got some new generic crap this week replacing "The Otherside" by Alter Bridge is just perfect timing.
I would like to see more managers in WWE. There's wrestlers that either struggle with English and can't get over with the crowds, or performers that just don't have the character. Having a good hype man could really help support these wrestlers.
While yes, Andrew's pitch for the transfer window was framed to elevate HIS favorite, it means it could also be a chance for YOUR favorite to find a fresh angle to be involved with as well. Also I'd like to think that it means those who took advantage of the feature are being real smart and self aware that they are stagnating, and willing to change. Why not?
I like the slowness of the WWE PLEs, makes it more casual and relaxing, instead of something happening every second where I need to pay attention continuously.
We, on a fundamental level, watch wrestling for different reasons. I wouldn't be surprised if we have drastically different outlooks, when it comes to man's engagement with this thing we know as art/media. That is what this past year has shown me. There are officially two major types of wrestling "fans".
@TheHardys01 there is just too much wrestling content. I watch Raw, NXT, SD, PLEs, Fightful, Cultaholic etc. Consuming so much with undiverted attention is hard and time wasting. So, to counter that I've developed a habit of having the shows playing in the back while I do other stuff. Due to this the flow of the show becomes very important to me.
So from what I’ve seen over the course of the last 2 years, here is my pitch for 2025 : We see CM Punk & Seth team at least once under certain circumstances. Now here me out on this one, Cody & Seth’s (on screen) hatred would lead to them eventually teaming at Mania. Roman & Cody teamed together, after a 1 year + (on screen) feud. We also saw CM Punk & Roman team one time at this years Survivor Series, which is still an ongoing story with the “favour”. It’s not out of the realm of possibility to see Punk & Seth team this year.
Kaiser vs. Gunther would feed families. However, I could also see them both holding a title and the same time and being a dominant heel duo for a while until it breaks apart and we get the mentioned feud between them.
My youngest daughter has been watching wrestling with me since she was little, and I assure you that if she did a guess that theme game, she couldn't name a single one, and frankly, neither can I.
My pitch is for Christian Cage to win the AEW championship, after being played out to the ring by Evanescence doing an orchestra version of My Last Breath. And then I want him to continue his role of being the Bond Villian of AEW. He wins against Copland in a blood fued. The only man who can take him down is... Fill in the blank here
Even if it would get instant hate online, Christian Cage successfully cashing in his contract to win the AEW world title is something that I would love to see
I’m a music purist through and through and just want to say there IS good music out today, but it seems as if wwe has possibly made a conscious decision to rein it in when it comes to entrance music. Idk if it’s for them to keep benefitting from the nostalgia of past eras and past wrestlers with way better theme music, or to put more focus on today’s wrestlers’ “looks” over substance (in this case, good music to support their character) … but I feel like wwe should be more than capable of getting good music, but they’ve definitely dropped the ball
To Ross' point, I'll sometimes watch the PLEs with my partner who is by no means a follower, so the breaks will usually be me getting another drink and then explaining the story for the next match
For AEW. 1. AEW stops doing philosophy based wrestling storyline. No more Sports Entertainment v Pro Wrestling, no more Old AEW v New AEW, no "my wrestling is better than your wrestling". Just book stories in your wrestling promotion. Focus on building stories around the titles and blood feuds. Finish The Death Riders soon and move past it. 2. Turn ROH into a new third brand based off the NXT Model called AEW Honor. A place where young talents can learn the ropes through hard work and respect. Unify the titles and just have the AEW Man of Honor, Women of Honor & Men of Honor Tag Titles. 3. Put the World Title on Ospreay and make him your megastar babyface champion. In A company that is all about "where the best wrestle", the objectively best wrestler in the world should be the top star and not be putting people over so easily on weekly TV. I understand best trying to help others get over, but I really think he would be far better utilised as THE star than as a star maker.
That promo Trick did on NXT when they were doing a Meta 4 feud was an all timer one too; "Tell them that you call me Trick Willy Wonka" was a phenomenal line

Christian should cash in at revolution annd win the world title and we get darby vs christian aew world title omega vs okada continental title adam copeland vs christian all in texas
What if I were to tell you AEW hasn't gotten worse. It only looks worse because WWE got so much better once Vince left for good. As a 40+ year fan of wrestling, I watched AEW at the start and felt it sucked. It was insulting to my intelligence from day one. And that hasn't changed in 5 years. It's a glorified Indy fed propped up by a billionaire. And the last couple of years, more and more people have been realizing it, which is resulting in a massive amount of people quitting watching their product. Pro Wrestling has always been at it's best when it's kept simple. Have a blend of matches and storylines that are logical, and easy to invest in for the fans. Storylines shouldn't be convoluted. They should be simple, logical and easy to follow. It's a formula as old as time and that is something Tony Khan and the Bucks and the Indy goofs who are part of creative behind the scenes in AEW just don't get it. And if you need more proof of that, just look at the CM Punk saga. Collision was his show. He and a few others old school minded people were behind the creative. It was completely different in terms of feel than Rampage and Dynamite. It was kept simple. Every show had a thread that went through the entire episode. And when you look at the ratings for it from that era, it often held steady and went up at the end of the show, often times with a higher number than at the start. Collision was the Pro Wrestling show while Dynamite and Rampage were the Indy shows. That is also the same time the ratings for Dynamite and Rampage started collapsing. The Punk era in AEW exposed AEW as nothing more than an Indy Fed. And there is a reason why Indy feds just don't draw.
It’s not just the wwe entrance themes. They need to have good entrance videos. And not just plaster the persons name or logo on the screen. Have some style have some flare.
my pitches are: roman vs rock/seth vs punk mania main events roman and rollins rivalry rock and cody rivalry ripley vs belair program cena going for his 17th and challenging gunter for the world title in his last match and gunter retaining
Jim Johnston is 72 years old. I love the guy but he's probably chilling and doesn't want to come back. They gotta find a new group/person who is passionate about wrestling.
Pitch 1: For AEW to get back to basics. TK needs to hire a creative team and let them do their thing. AEW's "storylines" are such a mess, and it's a shame because every once in a while they come up with something really good (see: Hangman sitting in front of Swerve's burning house) but those are lamentably few and far between. More coherent storylines that get people invested, and less focus on cramming as many spots into a match as possible while blind AF referees just sort of sit there and let the nonsense go on. (Looking at you, Rick Knox.) In short, put on a quality product that appeals to wrestling fans as a whole instead of catering to the relatively minor population of internet smarks. Pitch 2: Separate ROH from AEW. Having Jericho as ROH champion isn't doing anything for ROH. Nobody cared before, and nobody cares now. And the AEW main roster picture is already chaotic enough without all this crossover nonsense. Either turn ROH into the NXT of AEW - a separate developmental brand with focus on its own stars and stories - or take it out back and Old Yeller it. NOBODY cares about ROH anymore and all the nonsense with it now is not doing anything for it. Pitch 3: WWE needs to build up more believable main eventers. The main event scene has been populated with the same names for quite some time now. And while we heard in here how there could be a potential challenger for Gunther's title, that's just one home-grown example and really, is Kaiser going to remain in the main event scene after that feud is over? They need to build more real, believable main event talent that can be rotated in and out of the title picture so we're not just recycling the same names over and over and over. And that goes double for the women's division, CHARLOTTE. Happy New Year, everyone!
Pitch for WWE. I know the reason the logo is there is 100% branding. But since the winged eagle is currently in play. Thanks to the real world champion KO (who clearly pinned Cody in the ring). Have that title back. I’m really hopeful that Pinta isn’t just used good for a while then tossed into LWO.

Can't agree with some of Ross's 2nd pitch, as I have a disdain for squash matches. This is especially true in the case of the Mina Shirakawa/ Emi Sakura match. I can't see Minoru Suzuki or even Tomohiro Ishii being held up as being recipients of a squash. More recognition of international accomplishments are required. All mentioned have held UK titles BTW
Ludwig Kaiser will be Face in Germany, outside of it a Heel and I can live with that fact (yes, he‘ll be more cheered as a Heel than Gunther as a Babyface in Germany, I‘m sure of it)
I like Andrew's first pitch but if it is Punk beating Gunther. Isn't Wrestlemania supposed to be Cena's last match? I don't think Cena deserves to retire with the championship after all the newer talent he has buried. Punk may be older but at least he still has matches ahead of him where he can put people over. My pitch would be Roman winning the Rumble and challenging Cody. Cena then somehow gets inserted into that match. Then have Rock get into that match too by putting his in ring career on the line. Whether they have Cody or Roman the symbols of the two previous eras go out putting over the current generation and adding to the legacy of the champion.
@@jerard1979 I get why they want him to have the record and not Ric Flair. I mean, Flair has a problematic history, meanwhile Cena holds the record for the most Make-a-Wish Foundation wishes granted. Cena's reputation is top notch.
Here's an idea... Wrestling bookers book to the strengths of your available talent instead of thinking that they can do everything right. Also, use your entire roster available to you, you wear out your audience if you have the same people on week to week, month to month.
Love the idea that the problem with aew is that people complain about aew. The suggestion being that tk should just “block out the noise” and stay the course. If you love aew, this is a pretty bad suggestion since this isn’t just about a “bad feeling,” it’s about a product hemorrhaging viewers. Staying the course, ie burying your head in the sand, isn’t actually a real business strategy in this scenario.
Only problem with commentary on the state of AEW is that it is always being seen as bad faith, especially by Meltzerbots like this. It takes all of the agency away from Tony Khan like he is a child. No he isn’t a good booker and he should hand over the reigns to someone else.
While I find myself disagreeing with Jack quite often these days, I couldn't agree more with his last pitch. Honestly I'm not having fun watching either program because on WWE the in ring action sucks for the most part and in AEW the production design and storyline presentation sucks for the most part. Both need to learn from another.
Might be in the minority here but I don't get the notion that wwe are better at having storylines up and down the card than aew I definitely think aew have too many matches that have no storylines but so do wwe. On aew you've got the death riders stuff in the main event but you've also got the patriarchy always in storylines, Mariah may and toni/ mira, hook has consistently been in storylines etc Wwe have been building jey uso up as main event jey uso but I don't think he's had a proper one on one ple match since he faced his brother at wrestlemania. The only other proper feud he's had was with bron and that lasted around a month Then you've got liv and rhea storyline has gone on way too long and been so repetitive week after week. The main women are missing and they still don't seem to want to push anyone else properly
Left this on the Wretletalk video, too: Danielson at #30 in the Rumble. Beats Cody. Starts a feud with Sami Zayn. They settle it at NXT Takeover: Ring of Honor. In Canada. Sami wins
If you want to watch gymnastics go watch it, wrestling is a work for a reason, it's not a sport it's story driven entertainment that culminates in a worked fight .
AEW Pitch. Stop doing TV. Don't even do a monthly PPV. Instead, become the place that puts on a show once or twice a year between all different companies around the world. We can see a tournament take place, we can see a few dream matches, and maybe even some backstage looks. 2 night event. 2 times a year. This also solves the "tribalism" issue, as if that exists 🙄 WWE Pitch. Jade Cargill and R Truth become world champions. TNA Pitch. More shows. Do a special with Japan. Do a special with one of the smaller indie companies. Do another show with WWE. I got high hopes for the newly revives business.
Cant you just leave out aew, the peewee leagues! Cause who really cares about that 95% hogshit. Really everything except what Mariah may does! -Gary UA-cam-
Ross: we need better music
Andrew: here is my thesis of how I exactly want this 6 month feud to go

Wwe have been building jey uso up as main event jey uso but I don't think he's had a proper one on one ple match since he faced his brother at wrestlemania. The only other proper feud he's had was with bron and that lasted around a month
Then you've got liv and rhea storyline has gone on way too long and been so repetitive week after week. The main women are missing and they still don't seem to want to push anyone else properly
Left this on the Wretletalk video, too:
Danielson at #30 in the Rumble.
AEW needs to stop pretending it's competing with WWE, it's competing with WWE like Doncaster FC is competing with Man City .
The guys in this video aren’t going to like this comment. As Ross so pathetically said, “you’re being a bad faith commentator”
There is nothing wrong with WWE themes and just you being haters.
It’s clear you guys have a strong bias to AEW, why don’t you just cover them?? Oh that’s right you’d go out of business in weeks.
First
Pitch for AEW, Shut Down.
AEW Pitch.
Stop doing TV. Don't even do a monthly PPV. Instead, become the place that puts on a show once or twice a year between all different companies around the world.
We can see a tournament take place, we can see a few dream matches, and maybe even some backstage looks. 2 night event. 2 times a year. This also solves the "tribalism" issue, as if that exists 🙄
WWE Pitch.
Jade Cargill and R Truth become world champions.
TNA Pitch.
More shows. Do a special with Japan. Do a special with one of the smaller indie companies. Do another show with WWE. I got high hopes for the newly revives business.
One pitch for wrestling in 2025 AEW will die before August
Definitely hurts this video doing it at the beginning of December
Thats the wrong jim.......jim cornette deserves it more than double j!
Cant you just leave out aew, the peewee leagues! Cause who really cares about that 95% hogshit. Really everything except what Mariah may does! -Gary UA-cam-
My pitch is for JBL to win the TNA World Championship this year. Feels like something we'd want to happen
