Thank you for posting this video telling fans that there are a lot of Hot Rodders out there that are keep drag racing alive. What happened to the 1/4 mile run, when did the 1/8 become accepted.?
Thanks for watching. The night of the event their was a lot of rain and it would have taken an extra hour and a half to get the track dry so they just preped the track up to the 1/4 mile letting the cars race to 1/8 so it gives them time to slow down
Saw Hubert Platt at Des Moines it was then called the Iowa Shaker sponsor was Dick Walters Ford. After they got a set of professional headers I bought the old ones put them on my dirt 55 Mercury 427 sticking up wild sound.

But yet you came here to watch some of the coolest Ford FE powered cars around. Hmm.....jealous are you? Closeted Ford guy or gal perhaps? Did a Ford powered cars beat you one to many times on the dragstrip or even the street? Understanding you denial is the beginning of acceptance. FORD'S RULE! Go ahead and say it.....come on now say it.....FORD'S RULE! Just remember "Fords rule while GM drools". 😁😁😁
