Ugh! So beautiful! 😍 I adore this brand. I recently bought a matelasse crystal clutch from the shop in Miami and I can’t get enough of it. Miu Miu is definitely underrated, extra special, and I’m feeling like they’re going to get a lot more attention in 2022.

You’ve made me realize that I’ve yet to achieve purse peace 😂 I just bought the Celine Ava in the triomphe canvas and I promised myself this would be my only bag purchase for the year, but I just can’t keep my eyes from wandering 😭 every time I feel I’ve achieved purse peace, something new comes up 🥲 the good (and also bad) thing is my wallet says enough is enough 😂

What drives the resale value on handbags is the availability of the bag. For example, I bought a Chanel rectangular mini. And I had to wait many months before I was able to buy it. I had to suck a price increase, and the associates play games. The reality is that Chanel intentionally releases very few quantities. So you can't just walk in and buy the item. They will tell you is sold put before it hits the floor etc. Everybody know it is the same game at hermes with the birkins and Kelly, now they are giving only one bag per year, per customer etc.
On the other hand, you have brands like ysl, celine , prada thar sell their bags online. Meaning, the bags are readily available to anyone who can afford them, so nobody is going to buy the bag second hand, unless you offer a good discount.
Lv does sell "online" ,But they also intentionally keep their popular items sold out, and you have to be stalking their website, for whenever they decide to throw a couple of bags online. It is all about games. And perceptions.
Great points! Scarcity really does play a huge impact in this whole luxury industry or I guess, the illusion of scarcity, because who knows how many classic flaps or mini rectangular Chanel actually has in their backrooms when they tell you they're sold out 😂 I think for me, I can't play the games, like the games, plus the price increases, it's just a lot of hoops to jump through to spend thousands of dollars!

The quality is really nice, I was kind of surprised given that no one really talks about Miu Miu's bags, but the detail work is really nice, quite expensive fora. trendy bag but it's also kind of classic, so hopefully it'll stand the test of time!
