The title means “1,000 Sounds of the Sea”. It was composed to thank the efforts of all volunteers who helped rebuild the city of Kobe after the Great Hanshin Earthquake in 1995.

JGB SHIBUKI Japanese Drum (Taiko) Group is a kumi daiko ensemble formed in 2016 in Buffalo, NY.
Shibuki means “splash” in Japanese. The name was inspired by nearby Niagara Falls.
