DT doesnt seem to change your appearance if you 100% demon since all enemies in DmD have dt and since trish is 100% demon it makes sense why she doesn’t change looks
I still remember when the people at Ninja Theory(studio made the reboot dmc) say dante is a gay cowboy because he didn't have a relationship with either Lady or Trish. They clearly never play the first and third game. Trish looks like Dante's mom so it will just be weird. And in dmc3 Lady clearly said she's not interested in dating a demon
Dante is clearly interested in the ladies, he's just got horrible luck with them. Dude's got nothing but pizza and his job as a demon hunter to cope with his crippling virginity, and neither of those are helping much with keeping the water running and the lights on. Poor guy really needs to be cut a break. Then again, if Vergil is any indication then Dante having kids could be... Dangerous.
I find it kind of dumb that her hand-to-hand weapon is called 'Bare Knuckle' and yet most of the time, she's using her feet and sometimes uses the Sparda in the combos.

*Devil Trigger:* Nothing really much to say here. The transformation animation is roughly the same aside from Trish, who never had a demon transformation, dawning some shades (which magically vanish upon de-transformation) and a yellow electric aura. *Air Hike:* Literally the same move. Trish's glyph is just yellow. *Combo A:* Nice touch that Trish's 3rd hit is slower to come out, but looks to hit harder if the red energy slash and stronger screenshake and blur are any indication. *High Time:* Pretty much the same besides the new effects on Sparda. It does kinda look like Trish is quicker to grab the sword with her 2nd hand and takes a bit longer to "sheath" it, probably because Sparda is a BIG boy. *Aerial Rave:* The last few hits on Trish's seem to come out slower, and unlike Combo A, there's no visual indication of those slower hits being stronger. *Round Trip:* Trish basically has the best of both world's with her RT. It functions closer to Dante's version, but has the quicker start-up of Vergil's. It also doesn't need to be charged like 5's Dante RT, and while it's not the Hitbox P0rn that is 4SE Force Edge Round Trip, Sparda is bigger than Rebellion and at least looks like the hitbox would be bigger. Also that thing seems to go out for quite the distance. *Rising Sun/High Voltage/Genocide Cutter:* Appreciate that at least someone has a raw Rising Sun after 3, though Trish's does look a little bit janky compared to Dante's. Probably has something to do with Dante's being part of a long combo whereas Trish is that specific part of the combo cut out and made into a separate move. There's a few instances on this in 4 where characters snap from one animation into another in a janky way (Vergil Force Edge Combo). *Lunar Phase/Rolling Thunder:* Basically the same move with Trish's having electric effects, however, it's gutter trash compared to Lunar Phase, where Vergil's foot very clearly hits the ground and creates some environmental damage while Trish doesn't mess up the floor. *Straight/Thunder Blow:* The bolt of lightning and the removal of the backdash is nice, but once again, the Gay Cowboy does the Straight better. Gilgamesh just looks to dang cool. *Shock/Collider:* Gilgamesh still looks cool, but I gotta appreciate the screenshake on Collider to go with the thunder and lightning. *Full House/Inazuma:* I'll excuse the lack of environment damage this time because of the lightning cable and the altered/added effectiveness it gives to her dive kick. Also it's faster. *E&I/L&O Shot:* Guns. *Pandora Epidemic:* Rockets. *Pandora Hatred:* More rockets, Trish not needing to wiggle the stick to bring this out. *Pandora Revenge:* In place of having to pull out the first Launcher, wiggle the stick for the 2nd Launcher, and the SPIN the stick for the single shot laser, Trish does a Back-Forward motion, draining her DT to fire a continuous beam, which can also be done airborne. Love this. *Sparda Combo B:* Another instance of that animation snapping issue, but otherwise a nice similar, but unique unique Sparda Combo. It even uses the weapon change function, extending the range of the Finish as it's referred to as. *Bare Knuckle A:* Unique starter >> Gilgamesh A (last 2 hits mirrored) >> probably the coolest looking rendition of Drive/Overdrive. Nice. *Bare Knuckle B:* Combo itself and the bits that make it up look great, but that ender takes WAY too long. I'd have rather it ended at the upward strike than had he continue into her own Home Run (or I guess Golf Swing is what she's going for) that takes ages to pull off. If anything, it would've made her rendition of Dance Macabre more unique, launch vertically compared to Dante's launching horizontally. *Bare Knuckle D:* Hits just as hard (visually that is) as the move it's based on, and is unique enough in its overall function that it doesn't seem like a copypaste move like Sparda usually gets in the series (even in 5). Really makes me wish she was in DMC5 where she could get some new moves, upgrades to old ones, and fix some of the snapping issues she has like how Vergil kinda got his Edge Combo fixed. Also, I'm guessing a Lady vs. Dante and other Guns is up next?
There's a combo she performs after executing round trip that is missing. She throws some punches and kicks and then starts kick spinning everyone around. As soon as I was able to play as Trish I got the feeling that she's the best fighter in all dmc games. She kicks ass seriously with or without Sparda, and her guns are nothing like Dante's. They make some real damage
If they ever made another DMC game wish they make Trish and Lady playable characters in the main story line like DMC 5 instead of just playable characters new game+ Would love to see Trish have some transformation too
So since Trish no longer has the Sparda does that mean she just uses pandora now? While Dante and Trish mainly use it’s gun forms there’s bound to be a sword transformation in there since there 666 different kinds?
Maybe she can use iron pole with stop sign that infused with her power or use a sledgehammer with sharpened blade at the pommel and add twin paddle ball at the size of bowling ball, spikey ones or a speaker, attach with a tripod and accompany with flying speaker or skiing shoes, razor sharp or everything else.
I love the the effort they put into making each character feel unique when you play them different combos extensions play styles man I just love this series
To be real, her moveset has a lot of reused animations with different effects, but they weren't gonna put that much effort into the Special Edition anyway, because it was a test to see how much people were interested in the OG series and there we go, we got DMC5 :)
It’s cool that her kit is mixed with Dante and Vergil’s moves, though. I’ll probably go back this week and run through the Lady/Trish mode Also the pandora abilities look way easier to pull out, I remember having to hold fire as Dante then input movement directions to change modes. Felt real jank
Heavier? I thought that would be for trish since she’s slower and at the same time most of her attacks literally shakes the screen like how giants in most films or games shakes the screen and are slow because of how heavy or massive they are. Unless I’m misunderstanding your meaning of “heavier”.
Maybe. Trish is a demon created by Mundus to look like Dantes mother. In order to exploit Dantes emotions so she could easily kill Dante. In other words she's already in her demon form. They just gave her devil trigger cause it's a part of DMC gameplay mechanics.
So now that she doesnt have the Sparda, my hope is that theyll give her Alastor and have it function differently than when Dante used it. Also am hoping to see, either Trish or Lady to get Cavalier. I think Lady using Cavalier would improve her gameplay from just guns. Maybe not doing crazy Dante things with it, but definitely using bike form as a means of melee. Either that, or double down on projectile and give Lady Pandora instead of Trish. Trish imo should get Artemis or maybe even Nevan. Anything that com9liments her lightning powers tbh
Alastor AND ifrit would be really cool option AND she can transform in those 2 demons like a remake but obviusly like female versión. But considering that DT dont get Sparda devil trigger then Is Easier look a Trish lighting DT but using Alastor AND ifrit . Would be cool if she could use other devil weapons of Dante like agni and rudra , beowolf canonically was got by Vergil AND cerberus was destroyed in novel AND Dante has now King Cerberus versión now so Is understable that she can't use those 2 weapons. Another cool thing would be Nevan doing team with Trish like a doppelganger Style AND using that eléctric vampire guitar now. Considering that Dante Isnot anymore in the earth , Trish can get extra protagonist using those old weapons of Dante , together to Lady AND Nero can have a new team AND evolution or maybe Nero could use one of those old weapons .

In the anime of dmc i like that even though trish is only based on there mom she still treats dante like a kid and even scolds him a bit when she found out that he's still eating more pizza rather than balancing or paying his debts
I didn't noticed Trish has move sets of Dante and Vergil and even more powerful.. I think Screw Attack underrated her for being beaten by Bayonetta's rival..
At least it got a cool design in this game. And remember, Sparda was tbe Goal of the Order of The Sword in the main campaign. Yeah it sucks that it was relegated to a glorified plot device, but at least the characters in the story understood it's power and importance in the human and demon realms. But CAPCOM straight did the Devil Sword Sparda dirty in DMC5. Like did you see what Urizen did to it and said about it? Disrespectful af. Then on top of that, canonically Dante only uses it for 2 missions before it's got again. And don't even get me started on the DMC5 redesign

DMC1: Sparda sword has no devil trigger DMC2: Good thing you can unlock trish with the sparda sword; DMC1 moveset but still lackluster DMC4: trish with sparda sword is just a reskin of dante, and Sparda sword doesn't have it's own moveset. One word: Reskin. DMC5: cool concept to combine rebellion with sparda sword but it has no sense for me storywise. and in the scene where trish threw sparda sword to dante, i thought dante gonna use the sparda sword devil trigger against urizen. (that would be a better story) although in the end he's going to loose. atleast a much better action with the sparda sword. take note: even sanctus used the sparda sword better.

DMC1 the reason its got no dt during regular gameplay is because its always doing dt sword damage and story wise the actual sparda dt summoned dragons and meteors and let you beat the guy who literally created an entire universe for you to fight in
@@johnroyvincent I agree with all but one point. Dante doesn't need to go to Sparda DT anymore. Post-DMC1/Anime his DT is matured now, its no longer influenced by weapons he wields. And DMC2 Novel and Game has him surpass his father and demon kings by leaps and bounds. So he doesn't need to access Sparda DT for full potential of DSS power, his own DT is far stronger and can do it himself. As for DMC5 Sparda-Rebellion fusion....its literally works like a Dragon Ball fusion dance....fusion of swords is greater than sum of its parts.
@@johnroyvincent 4SE Trish isn't a COMPLETE reskin of Dante. She's basically the Wolf (Smash Bros) of this game; It's very clear they just ripped Dante's stuff and put it on him, but they did give her and Sparda some unique stuff on top of making some alterations to the things that were copied. It's arguably the best rendition of Sparda, as 1 and 5 are just reskins of the main sword you use in those games while 2 is essentially a port of DMC1 Dante that makes you wonder why DMC2 Dante couldn't play like that.
and this awesome weapon gets turns into a weird flesh tentacle with a blade in 5.... like i really enjoy 5 but christ they did the Sparda dirty in that game.
Just make me wish they'd make a game dedicated to Trish and Lady. Let's face it, the girls got the short end of the stick in term of plot relevence after the game that introduced them. Oh and Lucia can join in if she want to.
I think for DMC 6 Trish should either be one of two things. Either first the substitute for Dante since he's currently out of the picture. Trish has always been a kind of retro Dante in the games. Or she should get her own kit separate from Dante, this is also the one I prefer. Now that Sparda is gone give Trish her own style, also remove her guns they have always been copied of e&I. Trish's most important features have always been her lighting and round trip, sure Dante had the move first but Trish made it her own in dmc4. Replace her guns with lightning similar to DMC 1 Alaster devil trigger. Give her a way to still use round trip and such but then go from scratch. Give her lightning moves as her style button, give her an actual devil trigger. Either give her a demon from, which I think would be cool since she is a demon, so like a succubus kind of demon or something, or a lightning themed gauge that does something unique. It's time for the girls to step out of Dante's shadow and get some love.
This made me think: Trish is a clone of Dante and Vergil's mother who both fight with similar moves. So this can mean one of two things, either Dante and Vergil were taught these moves BY THEIR MOTHER, or the moves are genetically from their mother rather than Sparda.

@@deathbykonami5487 Because it is, why should Dante's moveset be limited? He could do Drive with Rebellion in DMC3 and DMC4, why can't he do it in DMC5? Also they give us Sparda in DMC5 but it's essentially just a reskin for Rebellion. It's supposed to be the most powerful weapon in the world (before Dante makes his own sword) but ends up being no different than his usual sword. Trish was awesome in DMC4 SE because for the first time we were able to really let loose and unleash the Sparda sword's true power; A faster and longer Roundtrip, Overdrive having 11 slashes instead of 3, being able to pull enemies in from afar with V Divider. You could see just how much more powerful Sparda was in that game
@@mbrillon765 The only good thing about Sparda being a clone in 5 is that you can do Round Trip on one and still keep your sword moveset by switching to the other, but that's about it. Really lame that the legendary Devil Sword Sparda wielded by the Legendary Dark Knight of the same name and sought after by numerous people from one of the Sons of Sparda to some evil dudes... is just a Rebellion/Force Edge/Alastor clone most of the time. At least Trish and Vergil did Daddy Sparda's prized Devil Arm some justice, but unfortunately, Trish gave it back to Dante while Vergil uses a cheap Summoned/Phantom/Mirage Sword knockoff instead of getting his own Devil Sword.
@@mbrillon765 Dante gets his own devil sword after like 3 missions of playing as him. Rebellion was supposed to be used for only one mission and Sparda for 2. Why make such a wide moveset for those weapons when they’re just going to get discarded after a short while to make way for the new weapon? DSD literally just does what DMC4 Rebellion did but with more moves with summoned swords. After getting DSD there is literally no point in using Rebellion and Sparda.

This is probably after dmc4 Trish got sometime to play with pandoras box before dante sells it so of course she's used to the thing Dante learned to use it in the go, of course he will be clunky with it

This unique shared fighting style are getting more lazy but, fruitful regardless. As example swapping moveset are Changing maximum overdrive to high voltage from umvc3 and the air animation swap from this to umvc3 as well.

I believe Trish's Epidemic, Hatred and Revenge all have different effects compared to Dante's also she can whip it out much faster than Dante.
Capcom should include one of her move where she could use actuall Lighting to strike down enemies in novel.

To be real, her moveset has a lot of reused animations with different effects, but they weren't gonna put that much effort into the Special Edition anyway, because it was a test to see how much people were interested in the OG series and there we go, we got DMC5 :)

So now that she doesnt have the Sparda, my hope is that theyll give her Alastor and have it function differently than when Dante used it.
Also am hoping to see, either Trish or Lady to get Cavalier. I think Lady using Cavalier would improve her gameplay from just guns. Maybe not doing crazy Dante things with it, but definitely using bike form as a means of melee. Either that, or double down on projectile and give Lady Pandora instead of Trish.

In the anime of dmc i like that even though trish is only based on there mom she still treats dante like a kid and even scolds him a bit when she found out that he's still eating more pizza rather than balancing or paying his debts

Sparda Sword, The Underrated sword in the franchise, capcom screwed this one up.
At least it got a cool design in this game. And remember, Sparda was tbe Goal of the Order of The Sword in the main campaign. Yeah it sucks that it was relegated to a glorified plot device, but at least the characters in the story understood it's power and importance in the human and demon realms.
But CAPCOM straight did the Devil Sword Sparda dirty in DMC5. Like did you see what Urizen did to it and said about it? Disrespectful af.
Then on top of that, canonically Dante only uses it for 2 missions before it's got again. And don't even get me started on the DMC5 redesign

DMC5: cool concept to combine rebellion with sparda sword but it has no sense for me storywise. and in the scene where trish threw sparda sword to dante, i thought dante gonna use the sparda sword devil trigger against urizen. (that would be a better story) although in the end he's going to loose.

DMC1 the reason its got no dt during regular gameplay is because its always doing dt sword damage and story wise the actual sparda dt summoned dragons and meteors and let you beat the guy who literally created an entire universe for you to fight in
@@johnroyvincent I agree with all but one point. Dante doesn't need to go to Sparda DT anymore. Post-DMC1/Anime his DT is matured now, its no longer influenced by weapons he wields. And DMC2 Novel and Game has him surpass his father and demon kings by leaps and bounds. So he doesn't need to access Sparda DT for full potential of DSS power, his own DT is far stronger and can do it himself.
As for DMC5 Sparda-Rebellion fusion....its literally works like a Dragon Ball fusion dance....fusion of swords is greater than sum of its parts.

4SE Trish isn't a COMPLETE reskin of Dante. She's basically the Wolf (Smash Bros) of this game; It's very clear they just ripped Dante's stuff and put it on him, but they did give her and Sparda some unique stuff on top of making some alterations to the things that were copied. It's arguably the best rendition of Sparda, as 1 and 5 are just reskins of the main sword you use in those games while 2 is essentially a port of DMC1 Dante that makes you wonder why DMC2 Dante couldn't play like that.
and this awesome weapon gets turns into a weird flesh tentacle with a blade in 5.... like i really enjoy 5 but christ they did the Sparda dirty in that game.

The normal shot animation for Trish looks slightly cursed.
I think for DMC 6 Trish should either be one of two things. Either first the substitute for Dante since he's currently out of the picture. Trish has always been a kind of retro Dante in the games.
Or she should get her own kit separate from Dante, this is also the one I prefer. Now that Sparda is gone give Trish her own style, also remove her guns they have always been copied of e&I. Trish's most important features have always been her lighting and round trip, sure Dante had the move first but Trish made it her own in dmc4. Replace her guns with lightning similar to DMC 1 Alaster devil trigger. Give her a way to still use round trip and such but then go from scratch. Give her lightning moves as her style button, give her an actual devil trigger. Either give her a demon from, which I think would be cool since she is a demon, so like a succubus kind of demon or something, or a lightning themed gauge that does something unique. It's time for the girls to step out of Dante's shadow and get some love.
This made me think: Trish is a clone of Dante and Vergil's mother who both fight with similar moves. So this can mean one of two things, either Dante and Vergil were taught these moves BY THEIR MOTHER, or the moves are genetically from their mother rather than Sparda.

Also they give us Sparda in DMC5 but it's essentially just a reskin for Rebellion. It's supposed to be the most powerful weapon in the world (before Dante makes his own sword) but ends up being no different than his usual sword. Trish was awesome in DMC4 SE because for the first time we were able to really let loose and unleash the Sparda sword's true power; A faster and longer Roundtrip, Overdrive having 11 slashes instead of 3, being able to pull enemies in from afar with V Divider. You could see just how much more powerful Sparda was in that game

The only good thing about Sparda being a clone in 5 is that you can do Round Trip on one and still keep your sword moveset by switching to the other, but that's about it. Really lame that the legendary Devil Sword Sparda wielded by the Legendary Dark Knight of the same name and sought after by numerous people from one of the Sons of Sparda to some evil dudes... is just a Rebellion/Force Edge/Alastor clone most of the time. At least Trish and Vergil did Daddy Sparda's prized Devil Arm some justice, but unfortunately, Trish gave it back to Dante while Vergil uses a cheap Summoned/Phantom/Mirage Sword knockoff instead of getting his own Devil Sword.
@@mbrillon765 Dante gets his own devil sword after like 3 missions of playing as him. Rebellion was supposed to be used for only one mission and Sparda for 2. Why make such a wide moveset for those weapons when they’re just going to get discarded after a short while to make way for the new weapon? DSD literally just does what DMC4 Rebellion did but with more moves with summoned swords. After getting DSD there is literally no point in using Rebellion and Sparda.

This unique shared fighting style are getting more lazy but, fruitful regardless. As example swapping moveset are Changing maximum overdrive to high voltage from umvc3 and the air animation swap from this to umvc3 as well.
