Always a blast to learn more about how these things came to be. Also great props for shouting out the Mo-Cap Actress because they do a lot of work but are often unmentioned in the process. For Wraith's finisher I'd imagine her opening a portal in the ground and void tendrils coming out of it, dragging the enemy player into the void hole, who is struggling to break lose. Kind of like they're being dragged off to Hell
A fun one could be the 3rd option with the helmet open up, she could use the void space sort of like a mouth and just bite the victim head off, have it eternally floating around in the Void. Though not sure how you can go around with this while still keeping the current content rating for the game. 😆 Anyway, amazing works as always!
The finishers in this game are amazing, its a shame though that basically noone ever uses them. Its extremely rare to see any enemy use a finisher, its allways just dancing around your useless knockdown shield and shooting you, instead of actually executing you. In my opinion some serious changes should be used to more encorage use of finishers and discourage "thirsting". But sadly we are at such a point now where there would be a massive backlash from priamarily higher skill players if anything was implemented to discourage "thirsting"
Motion capture/ Animation is the coolest job in the world. I always love seeing the transitions from the early concepts to the mocap stage and to the final rigs and renders. And apex has really good animations it’s insane
Something that I always thought about is how in the concept art she has a sort of black hole thing(???) where her face should be, and I thought that a cool animation would be her face plate thing opening up to reveal a beautiful blue pool of what seems to be stars, her grabbing the opponent, sucking their soul from their head, and tossing the corpse away. I'm not sure if it would fit her character, but I just love the concept art of those blue blobs that almost look like a view into the universe, and wish it was a part of the skin somehow

Hey Moy, so I have one question about Wraith's original finisher, where she throws the enemy into a portal. A bit before Apex came out, there was a popular comedy sketch on YT. You'll find the video if you search for "sustainable portal meat". Was that finisher somehow inspired by it by any chance, or is it just a coincidence? I'm super curious :D Basically it's a video about people who found a portal in their backyard that spews out chunks of unknown meat. They take it and they clean it in the sink and cook it. It's really funny, recorded like an infomercial :D
Just one question. Why does her 3rd phase have WiFi Motem antennas on the mask? (But also a legit question/concern: Why can't we switch the phases back to other phases incase we don't like how the last ones look? Fortnite did it. Please tell someone we really want that)
Bruh, we need more finishers in the game. We literally have separate tab for it, yet we haven't seen any new one since the game launched. Are there any plans to add more of them in collection events, battlepasses or ingame store like you do with emotes?
Hey Moy, IDK if you worked on this or someone else, but maybe you'd like to look at it? On the Valk emote where she drinks a beer while floating, the beer still has a cap on it when she's drinking it. It would be way better if there was no cap at all... it's always bothered me a little. You win a game and then you want to celebrate with an emote and Valk does something stupid like drink from a closed bottle :D I know you went back and fixed bald wraith's bum after I asked you for it (ok, more like spammed you a thousand times relentlessly on twitter :D) so maybe you'd like to look at that, too? Hopefully it's as simple as a reskin of the bottle mesh. Thanks 💗
Great skin and animation. But i doesnt beat Black Voidwalker + Portal finisher for me. Definately not worth precious heirloom shards. For relic skins to be worth it you need to put much, much more into the bundle.
I feel like it would look cooler if she opened a portal behind the victim and there were a bunch of whips stabbing and pulling them in Your animation is good nonetheless
Wattson finishers don't feel impactful at all they fit her character but i dont feel it. I cant imagine the impact like how I can with other finishers.
I think its really embarrassing that they charge heirloom price for a finisher, An ingame action that is incredibly risky and provides no reward as you can armor switch I dont hnderstand why finishers dont provide a gold item drop or 100 materials
