The all-male cast is wonderful, not because drag is funny, or because men can do anything that women can't, but because it forces the male actors to inhabit other modes of being, and practice 'femininity' as a craft, which is a thing that women learn, and are forced to learn, all their lives. It allows you to see how much of femininity, as opposed to femaleness, is a social construct and a habit. So it's liberating to all, to see the artifice of the historical idea of a woman.
And how beautiful and totally convincing they are, if not as woman, then as ladies.
