Nicely done. I now have the confidence to do my 59 Chevrolet Viking 50 floor pans and center tunnel.
Hello from Dip in the UK. Really impressed with your mindset and the way that you have made these floor panels. I’m going to try and do the same. Thank you.🙏🏾👍🏾😎
Excellent effort -Dad loves his work 👍
Thanks for putting this together ! Great tips using basic tools. Real world !!
this is awesome.... as a home builder and in the process if working through version 3 of 2 failed trans tunnels, this has been awesome. I actually have a brake, so you tip will make it even easier to make the bends. Alos, the "vice" tip make it easier to make bends when you need one or both ends open and a brake has closed ends (trust me, your vice tip is golden for this scenario.
Thanks! - Eric
In this trade it’s all trial and error. As long as you improve with every revision, your going in the right direction. I’ve built many tunnels, but the last one I built I did at home and I broke it over my table with an angle iron jig I made. I flanged my floors and firewall and the entire assembly bolts in. 16g steel and I’ve always formed it over my leg. Getting ready to build my last one for my t5 model a coupe now, hope it turns out as good as the last one I did.
Thank you! great video!
Wow great job
great job
Could take a nudge from the Factory Five design crew and just split the cab down the middle. flat glass making it that much easier. thren add like 3 or 4 inches to fit modern butts in the seats and to give yourself footroom for three pedals. It's stupid small if you stick to original specs. Way too small otherwise, particularly on the drivers side. :-) Nice build though :-)
Great video for us low-buck guys. There's always a way.
