LGBTQ+ Tik Toks for when it’s pride month
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 жов 2024
- Hi! I’m Andromeda (she/they) and thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy!
Hey all!! I’m now selling some merchandise to help raise money for my transition and I recently released the first edition of the queer resource so feel free to check those out! Links are included below.
First, let’s talk about the merch! I’m selling them through two different sites, both of which will be linked below. There are stickers, pins, and magnets which I’m selling through Redbubble - they’re available with several different LGBTQ+ flag options, although I know I haven’t covered them all so if you notice your flag missing feel free to comment it below and I’ll work on adding them in! And I’m selling shirts, sweaters, and hoodies through Teespring; they’re available with a couple different designs including the channel logo, but I’d be interested in expanding the flag options and designs, so if you have anything you’d like to see feel free to leave a comment below suggesting it!!
I mentioned that I’m saving money for my transition but that’s not the only thing the profits will go towards. My plan is for 80% of the profits to go towards saving for my transition, 10% towards funding the channel, and 10% to LGBTQ+ charities. I’ll leave a link to a google sheet below to show how your money is being divided for whatever product you may chose to get, as I want you all to have full transparency. I know the amount towards charities is low at the moment but I intend to increase that amount as I get closer to my goal for raising for my transition. I’m also going to be putting up a poll here each time there is a significant amount of money to donate and let you all choose from a few charities as well as suggest any you see fit!
I’m really excited about this! I was interested in ways I might be able to raise for my transition and bottom surgery through the channel, but I didn’t want to just ask people to donate as I’m aware of the influence that content creators can have and I don’t ever want that to be used to my advantage. I’m happy about this way as it allows me to give back to you all in the form of merch as well as to give back to the queer community as a whole by donating to charities and organizations. I hope that you enjoy this as well and if you have any questions or suggestions feel free to comment them below!

Now let’s talk about the queer resource!! I want to make sure to convey to you that it is in its very beginning stages of development; I have made significant progress on it but it is a time consuming process and between school, work, running this channel, and other responsibilities I don’t have much of that. The resource is a working document, I’ll be working it on my free time and adding and updating information and resources as it develops. I just want you all to be aware that any missing information and resources in the document right now is likely due to that. For instance, there is a section on queer terminology with definitions and resources and answers to certain questions, but I’ve only been able to go through A-terms and that section with 5 definitions took several hours. But, if I’m missing a definition from that or one of the resources I’ve included and checked over conveys a stereotype that I was unaware of or maybe there is information about those terms that does not appear in those resources and is important to show, feel free to let me know!
I want this document to be as accurate as possible and to not convey any kinds of stereotypes or misinformation so your feedback is always welcome. Thank you for your patience as I’ve worked on developing this and I hope you find this resource useful!

@@thecorlorlesspig1993 No, she’s Violet Stanza. She also has a UA-cam channel

That woman in the last few was soooo cool
Just a quick note on the middle video: "getting used to" trauma is the goal for abusive people/environments/systems. Once you're used to it, you can be subject to abuse at their will. NEVER GET USED TO CRAPPY HUMAN BEHAVIOR, AND CALL IT OUT WHEN YOU SEE IT. 💜
I can't correct them on my pronouns... It's too hard
@@gummirwlhi. What are your pronouns? I use any :)
I’ve had to learn to not just be ok with it. I’ve experienced prejudice for most of my life, and I’ve always just put up with it. Since realising I’m trans, I’ve learnt it’s ok to be annoyed when people tell me I dress wrong, or am in the wrong bathroom, or call me slurs.
2:28 The thing I hate most about microaggressions is that you can't talk about them with cishet people because they don't see them and think you're overreacting or reading too far into it or making things up, and it's really invalidating because you know what's happening but you can't do anything about it and nobody believes you
EXACTLY THIS! I want to bring microaggressions up but whenever I say it out loud I feel like I'm overreacting.
Yes! Its also important to address these things because they won't stop. This comment mirrors how I feel SO MUCH. Anecdotally my middle school is an example, microaggressions snowballed into macroagressions. It went from "I don't have a problem with them, I just don't really talk to them much." To "I think they shouldn't shove it in our faces." Then, it went to pouring drinks and stomping on a chalk drawing of a rainbow from my friends, harassing us then getting us in trouble with the school for BEING BULLIED, and lastly calling LGBTQ+ a cult.
@@hyperboles6563 Jesus christ that escalated quite a bit didn't it

This was great to watch after being upset about my mother saying bigoted and discrimanitory stuff about trans people to me a closeted trans person. Makes me feel better that im not alone
you're never alone. there's a lot of people who support you and loves you no matter what ! stay safe and take care !
At 9:05 she says that people look at trans suicide rates to determine trans worth. This is absolutely correct. The straw that broke the camel’s back for me and caused me to quit debate club was a student arguing that people shouldn’t transition because they wouldn’t be happy and would kill themselves. It resulted in me accepting the data just to end the conversation. The conversation did not end.
And, about the 3% thing: At least 80% of everyone who detransitions (I can't remember the exact number- it might even be more than 90% of detransitioners. I know there was a study done about this), does it because of transphobia. Very, very few people actually realize they're not trans, or that they just want to go a new path. So, assuming 20% of detransitioners are actually cis, that means 20% * 3% = 0.6% of everyone who transitions ever realizes they're not actually trans.
Also, does going off hormones because you're happy with your current results count as "detransitioning" in that 3%? Because I know a lot of trans men and transmasc people eventually stop T, because they're happy with their bodies at that point. They're still trans, just not actively on HRT.
Hi everyone, how are you doing today? Hope y'all have an amazing day/night- your local (digitally-so) bi demi dad \(^u^)/
Today's question ('cause if videos are gonna be uploaded this frequently nowadays, I should probably mix it up at least a bit) is how did you realize what your identity was? (you only have to answer this if you feel comfortable doing so)
I have one of my best friends to thank for helping me come to terms with what my sexuality was :)
mostly learning about different identities on the internet and realizing "wait, i feel this too! do other people not feel this??"
Heard my friend talking about asexuality and something just clicked
@@depressoespresso5904 That's neat :D TBH That's kinda how I started to realize I was on the asexual spectrum with the aforementioned best friend of mine teaching me about how she viewed this label called "demisexuality" and it just fit me perfectly well :P

Who's Zoey? Was that the woman in the last few TikToks with the fire speech?

As a trans Floridian, the only reason I'm even considering staying here is because of my friends. I know damn well I can't do as much shit as I want to because of all this, but I have a safe space, and hopefully you all do too. If not, I can drop my Tumblr/Wattpad.

Hello! Firstly, happy pride month!🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈❤️🧡💛💚💙💜✨
Secondly, I’m a baby trans and I’m gunna by a beginners binder but idk whether one with or without a small zipper at the front, if I could have some help that would be really really helpful!🥰
it depends on what you need if you need access to easy take off because of disabilities and or limited motion i would recommend a zipper front however if you don't need help id recommend no zip front because it tends to be more comfortable
@@dumbnoodleman ok! Thanks for the help, it means a lot to me
I'm so excited for you! First I wouldn't recommend an amazon binder with zippers or clasps because they can put uneven pressure and hurt after a while. Look at brands like spectrum outfitters, trans guy supply, and gc2b (although I've heard their quality has gone down the drain since quarantine, they have the official size chart for binders.)
And if you're young I recommend getting a size larger to grow into and stay active. You got this little brother :)

For all the queer kids watching this looking for a sign to keep going, I am here to tell you. HOLD ON KEEP GOING.
At 13 I tried to unalive myself because I saw myself as broken, I knew who I was but couldn't be myself because it wasn't safe, it hurt feeling so alone and hated for existing. When I came out , I lost family, I lost friends but it got better. I survived the hate and became a proud out transgender man.
I am here as a 28 years old, I am engaged to a beautiful trans fem person, I have two adorable cats, I have friends and family that love and respect me for me.
I have top surgery in 8 days! It gets better. Just please please remember no matter how dark it gets, You are loved, you are wanted, you are enough
I'm so sorry to all Floridians having to deal with that! I live in Portugal, where the LGBTQIA+ have been legally allowed to marry and be themselves, so I cannot imagine what you are going through. I send you all Americans my best wishes.
Is it just me who Thought Ron DeSantis was named Rhona Santis for the first week of hearing abouut him?
Goddamn the lass from the last video fucking rules
I had to stop watching this cause I was gonna cry in Spanish class
Stay safe my friends and have a happy pride month :)
I'm late because I was at school when this came out, but,
Hi! Hope you guys are doing ok!
The medical board doesn't need to sign the consent form. I have no clue where people keep getting that idea but it's false.
The medical board was required to adopt rules about what should be in an informed consent form. The bill does *_not_* create a mechanism by which the board can reject your informed consent.
It's still an awful shitty bill, but lying about stuff like this is only going to further discourage trans people from seeking care they need.
Thank yooouuu! ^^
Us gremlins must Unite for pride month!
I think most people like either this one, that one, both, or neither. For gender identity man, women, bigender, agender. For sexual orientation heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, asexual. It's usually shortened to straight, gay, bi, ace. For personal pronouns he, she, they. Some people use multiple. There's also neopronouns although they seem more like an internet thing to me. For assigned sex at birth male, female, intersex. And then there's a bunch of versions and micro labels that can often overlap. I don't feel like mentioning all of them cause then this comment would be even longer. For example someone could be a nonbinary, bisexual, they them, male. Basically anyone who's not entirely cisgender heterosexual -cishet is part of the LGBTQ+ community. They used to be killed for being different similar with black and disabled people, thankfully that doesn't happen as much as it used to. There's also different types of attraction romantic, sexual, aesthetic, I can't remember the other ones right now. Plus some people are just unlabeled, the only thing that matters most is that your a person. I don't know I guess this is my hypothesis.
0:22 : me watching Jenny by Studio Killers blow up on the clock app
Ain no way
That these were amazing 🌈
To anyone who thinks this isn't a big deal, what do you think it means when being a person and walking around and wearing clothes can strip you of power and basic respect? Because "performing" as someone in clothes that others think are inappropriate for you, specifically, is illegal in certain states. It's strange to think that being a slightly different human being is an act of rebellion. The truth is that being human is slowly being vilified by some people with more power than you or I could ever gain. The truth is terrifying, and we're living it.
Drink water and take time away from social media if you need it. Love and compassion are not dead or blocked from you forever.
0:51 that’s what we all want. At least, those of us watching this.

Im a trans boy an my parents are supper trans phobic. One day my mom found out and she told me horrible, horrible things. She called me delusional, she said i would have to move schools if i continued to be who i am. Its been six months since then, and she acts as if that never happened. After that happened she never says ‘hey kids’ anymore, she’ll say “Hey girls.” Or something like that when addressing me and my sister. I want to die more every time she does that. I hate being trans, i hate myself, i hate my parents, and i hate my life. Sometimes i wonder if everyone would be happier if i was just gone.

@@keldreamer9327 sure dude
please please please hold on. However much your parents disregard your true gender identity and disrespect you, believe me when i say that they would not be happier or relieved in any way if you die. I hate that they are putting you through this, i am so sorry my brother. telling them 'hey i'm feeling genuinely suicidal here's why and what you can do to help' might inspire some change. If you have access to a therapist or school councillor or someone of the sort, please tell them about what you are going through. Facing this alone is not going to turn out well. Do you have any safe spaces, online or in person; or anyone you can turn to who could help you process these awful experiences and emotions?
