On these aviation videos I always love the forward looking shots on approach when it still is a a small distance to the airport and trying to see where the runway is in the distance. Sometimes it jumps out and then other times you just don't see it until you are right there. Understand with the naked eye you can locate the runway pretty quick from the pilots view vs a camera mounted in the cockpit. Enjoy the in flight low altitude video especially on approach.
Great job as always Shaun - always look forward to your videos -- top notch editing and split screens. And a kudo for your swag -- your CPL hat successfully withstood my 12-month-old Jackchi's attempt to chew into pulp! The bill does have a distinctive ragged edge but all is good!
Shaun, I grew up in NJ, lived there until july 2013, now in Ferndale,WA. WE were only 10 miles from Lakehurst Naval Air STation and McGuire AFB Lots of activities and airshows around the giant hanger that hosted the HIndenburgh Dirigidle. Never knew Trenton had an airport but not surprised. There were a few incidents at Newark in the late forties and fifties and I remember there was a Teterboro Tower "Folksong", but I don't know the lyrics. Jersey is crowded central and north but the south and the pine barrens are quiet and low population. Thanks for the nostalgia, Cheers, Rik Spector
Shaun, I vote that you should take home the Oscar for Best Supporting Pilot in an Aviation Video. The two of you worked great as a Team. Would like to see more with that guy and you flying together.
The quality of your videos are top notch. Great audio (so clear and the levels are spot on) and excellent camera angles. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
Great work and thanks for shearing. Maybe you could do a tech Tuesday about flaps and explain just what they do to the camber of the wing.... and how they effect lift and t/o performance. Keep doing what you do. Just the best.
Enjoyed the continuous flow of the video here, from takeoff to landing. Good stuff, Shaun - we appreciate it! 👍🍻 I say the same thing about MA whenever I get the opportunity to leave! 😁 Trenton, geesh - never been there, but I'd imagine the airport has ALOT of razor wire! 😉
Incredibly beautiful light contrast/colors in the cockpit during the taxiings. New camera? Or just natural Autumn Light? Autumn in NY is the best, same thing in D.C./Maryland.
@@CorporatePilotLife Hey thanks for the reply, Shaun. A really stunning photography you got this time, and another great video as usual. Keep up the good work, be safe and cheers from Brazil.
5:30 Why would you stop your aircraft like that? Courteous crews will angle in towards the pad so your jet blast is not pointing at everyone behind you.
Heard your tail number on another flying channel. Not sure why corporate wants you to blank it out but is what it is I suppose. I always enjoy your content, thanks for posting!
Awesome vlog Shaun!! You brought back memories for me, thanks!!! You were taxing the same route I was on so many times while I was at TTN doing my training at ATP, enjoyed flying at that airport!! What airline was that while you were taxing past the main terminal? Was that United or Jetblue?
If you looked you saw lots of golf courses and some nice land enroute. I think that's better than seeing so many cornfields and grain silos that you don't even know where you are because it all looks the same. Lots to do in New Jersey as well. Oh but the taxes.
And, get hit with an EXIT TAX as they go! No joke! A friend of mine got whacked $25-LARGE as he got the heck out of Dodge for NC. Still, he said it's the best thing he's ever done in his life for his family, and himself. I've never seen a more corrupt state government in my life - makes the folks on Beacon Hill in MA look like a bible study group ...
Did you add some polarizing filters to the cameras? The colors were so brilliant! With that title, I thought maybe you were going to have a hard time getting out of that airport, but things went great as usual! :-)
Michael Bryant they were going to Trenton to pick of passengers do they probably didn’t have to wear uniforms for that portion of there trip. They said they had about an hour before they were picking up passengers so they were probably going to change into uniforms before they picked up passengers.
Just curious. It looks like there is not a lot of room on the yokes when rotated (Left hand on Pilot side-Right Hand on Co Pilot side) When the yoke is turned. So does is one forced to maintain a certain hand position? or is that just a camera trick on the eye?
Get Me Out of New Jersey! I live 3 miles South East of KPNE across the Delaware River. ATC sends them in and out so low on 11 they knock squirrels off of my chimney cap. KTTN is loaded with; student. I'm also surprised you didn't get tagged with graffiti. What was Greorge Washington thinking?
Great Video! What is the longest you have ever sat on the run way for a delay? Is there a rule as to how close you can get to another plane when waiting in line?
I've never timed my wait on the runway, but I would say I've waited over minute...probably two. It's always nerve racking when that happens. As for the minimum distance, I've never heard a limit on that one. With experience, we get a feel for how close is too close.
I see quite a bit of each side, but it's often easier to record when I'm in the right seat. We typically swap seats each day, but some pilots are restricted to the right seat only until they gain the minimum experience to fly from the left seat.
The Hawker is required to takeoff and land with the engine bleed air turned off, so we use the APU to provide pressurization, heating, air conditioning, etc. on takeoff and landing.
It's going to sound silly, but the Gulfstream radio will accept "286" as the input for 128.6. The Hawker requires "1286" to be entered or it gives an error message. If I only say "286" then that's what I tend to type, but if I say "128.6" then that's what I type.
Corporate Pilot Life What? I was sure this was just a short cut for you and ATC to drop the 1. In Europe you say all the numbers. Thank you for the answer. If it made me any smarter I am not sure... fly safe, I will follow your flights.
If you are referring to the lack of tail number usage, let me ease your mind. We use the tail number on every transmission, but my company requires that I remove them from the video, so I spend hours editing them out in order to publish this content
Just got my very first corporate pilot job, basing out of Vegas. Start FlightSafety training in 2 weeks!
Congratulations! I hope it all goes well!

Yeah...it is much easier in person vs the camera view
Great video as always. I really enjoyed the wing view. Safe flying Shawn. Thanks. Chip
Teterboro to Trenton. Living the dream. 😨
😂🤣😂 Best comment on the net! The smilie says it all!! 😁
11:11-19 - traffic incoming 12 o'clock...so fast...
I have to agree I miss the many cameras you had on Presidential 69. But still it was a great video. Thanks again Shaun.

Would love a 'Tech Tuesday' on how the steering/tiller works while on the ground.
Ask and you shall receive...I did this one a while back: ua-cam.com/video/cGvsaFYftkM/v-deo.html
Enjoyed the hawker flight. Keep em coming shaun
Hey Shaun, nice to see you guys up and flying. Sure was great weather. Looking forward to next video. 👍👍👍👍

@ Would be nice . . if you & John & (any others) could be; . . and reminisce .
Nice video Shaun. Thanks
THANKS FOR THE RIDE AL9NG.
The quality of your videos are top notch. Great audio (so clear and the levels are spot on) and excellent camera angles. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
Thank you!
No need for take off flaps. Powerful plane! Great vlog as always! Would still love a tour of the Hawker passenger cabin on a Tech Tuesday?
I am certainly planning to do that.
You should do the rudder bias system for a tech Tuesday! Extremely helpful and unique to the hawker
I fully plan to do that. Thank you!
I always go plane watching at the chick fil a in teterboro. Always fun seeing a pilots pov!
I love that spot...how can you beat some fried chicken and airplanes? It’s right up there with In-N-Out burger at LAX
Lots of work for such a short flight. Thanks for another great video. Safe travels guys
All the work... no distance covered...
Exactly...I thought we flew these fast jets to go long distance! LOL
Like the activity....that was fun...thanks!
Another successful flight. As always Great Job. Later.😎

Sweet video!!
Nice Hop Guys...thanks for the ride ';-) Mike...
Oh my....what a smooth landing. Love the videos!
8:35 You're flying right over my house!
Neat flight! Thanks...
Great! Short and sweet!
Great videos! watching from Australia! Coffs Harbour keep them coming
Come to signature south!
11:15 Crazy how fast things are moving up there.
It looks faster because both planes are going fast in opposite directions.
Gr8 flight Shaun! Miss your west coast flights tho! :)
Incredibly beautiful light contrast/colors in the cockpit during the taxiings. New camera? Or just natural Autumn Light? Autumn in NY is the best, same thing in D.C./Maryland.
Same camera, but I'm trying to set it up better to capture the cockpit properly. It's a never ending learning process...
@@CorporatePilotLife Hey thanks for the reply, Shaun. A really stunning photography you got this time, and another great video as usual. Keep up the good work, be safe and cheers from Brazil.
I had my 1st flight lesson out of this Airport, didnt know the runway was built for a 737
I'm not to far south. I took a few out of PNE
There is one true Oasis in the state... Check out Terhune Memorial Park "Sunnybank" at Pompton Lake.
Pine Barrons are pretty awesome.
The Heart of a Dog!
“This plane likes to float”. Gotta love a pilots take on an aircrafts nuiances. Cool vid
Woah did i just see a one quick turn to 4,000.. its been awhile since i seen you do that.... back in the g4 prez 69 days 👍
5:30 Why would you stop your aircraft like that? Courteous crews will angle in towards the pad so your jet blast is not pointing at everyone behind you.
Fascinating video. Thank you
Heard your tail number on another flying channel. Not sure why corporate wants you to blank it out but is what it is I suppose. I always enjoy your content, thanks for posting!
Good video.. Miss the Gulfstream. Falcon good plane but not one I would buy if I win the lottery
Trenton is where my flight school is! Wish I saw u there lol
What flight school?
Short flights are the busiest!
yes indeed...
Just found your channel and am hooked. Do you ever do videos with passengers on board?
I'm never allowed to show the passengers...that's a hard no from the company
Awesome vlog Shaun!! You brought back memories for me, thanks!!! You were taxing the same route I was on so many times while I was at TTN doing my training at ATP, enjoyed flying at that airport!! What airline was that while you were taxing past the main terminal? Was that United or Jetblue?
looked like jet blue
Flying out of Florida late afternoon or at night is always problematic with the weather.
Good stuff. Question? Why do you push the controls all the way forward at landing?
Partially to keep them from bouncing around. It also helps put pressure on the nose tires for better steering authority
You have enough window shots Shaun; of the flight. At the approach slope you almost got the BIRD !!!! :-)
nice flight good landing ;)
“Get me out of Jersey”, says about 500 people a day as they move away from that mess.
Kirk Gibbs Illinois too! Both lands of high taxes, bad traffic, ridiculous property values.
Oh, it's get me out of " Joisey."
Like anywhere it's got it's pluses and minuses. I've seen worse, much worse.
Hey, watch it!

Flaps zero....say again!, a 19 second ground roll seems to confirm the manual.
Cool! A relocate ??
yep!
Did you add some polarizing filters to the cameras? The colors were so brilliant! With that title, I thought maybe you were going to have a hard time getting out of that airport, but things went great as usual! :-)
I tried an editing filter, but I almost think it was too much. Perhaps I'll play with it some more on the next one...
@@CorporatePilotLife I don't think it looks bad. I just wondered as the colors were so bright that maybe you added them due to the sunlight coming in.
Well I actually upgraded my editing software, and this is the first video to use it. So that's part of it.
@@CorporatePilotLife I think the color looks good in this one.
You've been getting a lot of time in that 900XP.. Just waiting for some Falcon videos.. :P
You passed right over my house. 😁
I was waving...LOL
Spent a stimulating couple of months at Fort Dix, NJ one summer. Haven't been back since. (lost 20 lbs.)
I see you are wearing the pilot uniform. Are you "corporate", "corporate/charter"or charter? Love the videos. Stay safe!!
Michael Bryant they were going to Trenton to pick of passengers do they probably didn’t have to wear uniforms for that portion of there trip. They said they had about an hour before they were picking up passengers so they were probably going to change into uniforms before they picked up passengers.
Great title. What a hole in the earth.
Just curious. It looks like there is not a lot of room on the yokes when rotated (Left hand on Pilot side-Right Hand on Co Pilot side) When the yoke is turned. So does is one forced to maintain a certain hand position? or is that just a camera trick on the eye?
this plane looks not like a upgrade to the Gulfstream you where flying before, or? The cockpit looks so small
It's so confusing with the callsigns muted, but you have to do what you have to do.
When you were flying with John, he always sat in the left seat. I notice you switch off now. What is the difference now?
just curious why you edit out your call sign? it's probably a good idea, just wondering the reasoning behind it.
That's a requirement from my company
P.S. Bought some swag, great stuff!
Thank you!

Beginning checklists communication seemed off between you 2
under 300 Pretty sure he was training the guy in the left seat
Direct Solberg. The airport that I got my license at.
I never liked New Jersey. Then again I was a truck driver and it was a free for all
love your videos, skill, and the dedication you put into this.
so tell me. how insufferable are your passengers?
LOL...the vast majority are great people
This hawker has winglets, is it a newer version than the hawker that does not?
yep...this is a 900XP
7:07 someone wanted to land on the closed runway haha
Wow, you should be an Air Traffic Controller, seriously good catch.
Just a quick question, you seem to be right seat more than left on your flights. How is the left seat decided?
I see quite a bit of each side, but it's often easier to record when I'm in the right seat. We typically swap seats each day, but some pilots are restricted to the right seat only until they gain the minimum experience to fly from the left seat.
Do you keep in touch with Jon !! Just curious .
We haven't talked in quite a while
10 out 10 would rather fly to TEB than to HPN... unless the field is IFR.
Is that a Hawker?
yep...900XP
Why is there a United plane there? Are they essential air service?
Wish I could answer that one, but I'm not really sure
Which aircraft is this?
This is the Hawker 800 XP
Why leave the apu running on take off?
The Hawker is required to takeoff and land with the engine bleed air turned off, so we use the APU to provide pressurization, heating, air conditioning, etc. on takeoff and landing.
@@CorporatePilotLife thank you much for answering.
Ugh hearing 1724U on the radio made me cringe... any kind of abnomality/emergency I had during my training in virginia was in that cessna...
What’s wrong with Jersey?!?!?!
#myhome
I didn't say anything was wrong with it...I just wanted to go farther
I know just bustin your chops
I figured...no worries
Why are you in right seat?? Trainee becomes the trainer?
We were both captains, so we swapped seats each day
bet you wish you were flying that Falcon........
Show the plane!
You in a new airplane?
I can't remember if I've recorded this one before, but this is our Hawker 900XP. I've flown it a few times now...
Still enjoy the videos. However, I have to say they're not nearly as entertaining as presidential 69. It's just not the same without John buddy.
ua-cam.com/channels/svjkGrlZv640eDwiAviC2Q.html
i didnt even have to guess where you were when you said get me out of new jersey! lol
Have you been shorn Shaun?
Why have you now started to say the the 1 in 128,6 and not as with PDR 69 as 286? Great vlog as always!
It's going to sound silly, but the Gulfstream radio will accept "286" as the input for 128.6. The Hawker requires "1286" to be entered or it gives an error message. If I only say "286" then that's what I tend to type, but if I say "128.6" then that's what I type.

Torgeir BrandsnesI
I hate hawkers lol
I noticed the pilot on taxi out moving throttles to full power and back, is there a disconnect or something for throttle movements?
He was doing the engine computer test. We have to verify that the engines are controllable with the computers on and off
Someone got a haircut
no flaps isn't that like no condom?
👋🏻KSRQ☀️🌴🇺🇸🛩
Too much waffle
very bad radio communications.
If you are referring to the lack of tail number usage, let me ease your mind. We use the tail number on every transmission, but my company requires that I remove them from the video, so I spend hours editing them out in order to publish this content
I stand corrected.
No worries...I get that a lot. I just like for people to know the reasoning behind it.
