We’ve had our MSU 500 about 9 years with only light use on our ranch. This was a Black Friday purchase at Tractor Supply and we have enjoyed it without any significantly major issues. However recently the transmission has started making a kind of grinding sound which has me concerned. My biggest complaint with Massimo is the difficulty in finding someone in east Texas to actually service them. This is odd considering they are headquartered right near here in Garland, Texas. Although they do post a list of authorized service centers, you soon find when contacting them that quite a few of these places no longer exist and closed years ago. Others say they no longer service Massimo and haven’t for years. They’ve unsuccessfully tried to get Massimo to remove their names from their site. Others have said they have never serviced Massimo. It’s very misleading (even fraudulent) for Massimo to continue promoting a list of service centers when they know it is not current or even correct. I’m surprised there’s not a class action suit because of the extent of it.
@@danbo4605 I found someone to work on it. What they found was the sound was corn kernels from some deer corn that I was transporting in the bed if my UTV had gotten sucked into the transmission through the vent tube that’s right behind the seat. Once he pulled the cover off the transmission case and cleaned out all those hard corn kernels, the UTV runs and sounds like new again.
Look up Linhai and you will see they partnered with Yahama in 1994 but have a declaration that it limits this information, they have been building engines since 1956 if memory serves me well.
I bought this tboss 550 last week and brought it into a super remote shack in Northern Minnesota. It did great! Cold snowy starts. And handled the trail better than my 570 sportman. (Bottomed out less) The battery and winch combo isn't up to par for heavy use situations though. Broke passenger side mirror as well. Machine is not 54" as advertised. (Manual even pays 58") This machine very well be the best buy as long as i can manage the maintenance. HAVENT HAD TO ORDER ANY PARTS YET. Thanks for then video bro. Will check out some more. 🎉😊
Got the Tboss 560 with the upgraded 10inch lcd screen. Comes loaded with winch, windshield, roof and gps. Recently changed tires at 300 mile mark and put on a set of SunF A021 tires. Ride mostly on the street and paved/rock roads. Sold original tires to my neighbor for his Polaris. The Sunf Tires are less noisy on the road and helps to cut down on the vibration these machines are prone too. Didn't get it to go trail riding anyway, putzing around town and ride to the local lake with my dog. He rides shotgun and enjoys the sxs more than me, I think.
Agreed with buying from a dealer ! I bought my 450x from one and at 200 miles the rear end started going out and the ignition went bad. They picked it up and fought with massimo for 2 months for the parts for it
Good points on your review. I bought a used 2020 Bennche Tboss 550. Not the 550F model with the metal box, but otherwise the same thing. No rattle issues, but that may be because it's a plastic box. When I got it, I thought it had reverse lights. Turns out it has brake and turn signal lights only. When I put in reverse, it makes the beeping noise, which can be disconnected. I believe yours is the same, but could be wrong. Anyway, thanks for the video.
The metal plate on the rear where you attach the extender for a hitch-haul is very weak, Bent it with a 130 pound pig. Extender was about the same length as what you have too.
Just bought the 850 MSU back in May and it’s already on its third throttle cable and now something exploded on the drive belt end. At only 53 miles on it. Biggest mistake of my life was buying this. Never ever buy a Massimo. Pure garbage and I’m out fifteen grand
Ya I have no idea why someone would buy one of these. For the price of the 760 you can buy a cfmoto uforce1000 and there are dealers everywhere for cfmoto. These intrigue me because of there looks but being un known brand there price point is way too high. Just not worth throwing that much money away to be disappointed down the road. Better off spending a little more and buying a more well known brand.. The reason I mentioned cfmoto is they are proven and been around awhile and also in someways cheaper to buy then one of these.
I saw one of these at T.S.C. and I immediately realized there was no Brand Name that I could find, ( Anywhere !! ) especially in the usual brand name places, ( Hood, Doors, Dashboard or Tailgate !! ). But there are some Really BIG Numb3rs, I bet Bambi is still running for his life !!! I left--went home and guess what ?? I bought 2022 850 MSU brand new... there's 16k ish down the drain. I gave up trying to get a hold of them and get parts to fix the problems. 16k yard ornament is what it has become

Five reasons that are the same reason!!! You bought a UTV for $10K instead of $20K and parts are on Amazon or available from warehouse in Texas?!?!? You must be a rep for a name brand!!!
@@DirtbagOutdoors First of all, It had to be jumped off to start it the first time I ever fired it up! My wife surprised me with this POS for Christmas !! Well surprise,$10,000 down the drain!!!!!!
I’ve got a massimo 400 atv that has many expensive problems with no help from the factory. Good looking machine that poorly put together. My advice is stay away from massimo products

More than likely that noise is the bearings in the clutch. The massimo or the other Chinese brands have that issue

I had a 2017 Honda Pioneer 500 . I put over 3000 miles on it with no problems or oil leaks. I loved that machine. Sold to when we moved.
Funny how most people get along fine with these.
Where did you finally get the rearview mirror .. I bought one of these to help me with yard work ..Thanks

Interesting. I was told it was supposed to have reverse lights. Maybe they didn’t know what they were talking about. Wouldn’t surprise me lol

If you're going to spend 15 grand on a side-by-side why not get something name brand
@@dosstheboss100 True. It was a costly mistake
The tboss 550 uses a cfmoto engine not the yamaha clone it's a cf188 motor. The rear diff has a service update on the fluid level

Dont buy from big box
Use resale value to your advantage... Buy a slightly used one.
I got a buck 450 1 year and a month later only 35 miles getting peace o aluminum chunks and they will not even stand behind it its a peace of shit
How much did you pay for it?
Sounds like a tps sensor problem.
200 miles in a year, i put 500 miles on my XP in 3 months. I was kind of interested in these and after seeing this im glad I didn't buy one.

Who put the new seals in?
I did
Better change bearings
That’s why I own a Gator.. JD👍🇺🇸
Wasn’t that machine like 11k?
Yea fairly close after all said and done. I didn’t pay that much though
Is great video! It encouraged me not to buy lol

It’s got other leaks so probably

Are they? No service. No dealers. Continually failing parts. No resale value. I guess if those are “features” you like, then it’s a great brand.

They are assembled in Texas. Any motor sports shop should be able to repair it if you can’t.
@@J_Steven good luck on that! most if not shops that have ever worked on a Massimo will not touch them again.
Clean your throttle idle Valve. Probably got carbon built up.😝🤪
