Nice M40 Lufty helmet. It was common for the GI to cut out or tear out the liner and fill it with small souvenirs to send home. Part of the helmets history.
Always cheering on these videos. As a collector here in Mexico, I pay homage to Whittmann when I do my unboxings with a few of his catch phrases. Keep up the great work, fellas!!!
Dont worry about what we think, we love watching you do what you have to do ,, you are realy thé Best at this,, i prefer watching you than thé TV now ,, love it Thomas, you are fantastic ❤
Great video as always, Mr. Wittmann. One question; why didn’t you mention and show the SA Gruppe markings on any of the early SA daggers? I noticed one was Om but couldn’t see the others. Thanks for all you fo for the hobby!
Just a quick question..... Why the edit to a different box after the cold weather Luftwaffe hat? I love the videos and usually spend my lunch watching them. I've learned so much, and I'm looking very forward to starting my collection.
from your previous video, when you say you can look up a lot more info on who owned this chain SS dagger can you et us know how? are there websites? would be super interesting to know as im trying to find records for my great grandfather also
You know, I see those exact drawings in a particular crypto community that I'm involved with and was surprised to see them here; I also live in NJ like Whittmann, so perhaps there's some connection.
Typically because people call up for them after seeing them in the video; they never make it. We actually have some coming up reasonably soon but Ob can only work so fast.
Friedrich Dick company ( F. Dick and arrow Logo ) still exists. They are producing kitchen and butchers knifes, and files, this Files every south west german metal worker knows.
Hello, our kind Thomas, from St. Petersburg!!!
I think the maker of the 2nd Luftwaffe dagger at 54:40 is "Rudolf Büchel - Solingen-Merscheid". Thanks for the Video! Prost from Germany, smithy
You guys continue to show top quality daggers, best around!!!
You have the BEST job ever! This is like Christmas!! Keep the videos coming.
Tom thanks for your work you are really helping me and my team with your video
Great video Tom. And don’t ever change. I love watching you unwrap stuff. No rush. It what makes your videos genuine
Excellent as usual Wittmann, Happy New Year sir ! Always enjoyable!
The education continues.👍🏼Always learn something watching these. The condition of the SS book is spectacular.

Wittman: "its mint"
Love the videos, keep doing them👏
As always great video Mr. Wittmann. I'm already looking forward to the next unboxing. Greetings from Slovakia from Košice. Collector Thomas
Did the Allies use the SS list book to find out who were related to what areas and crimes when they were rounding them up after the war?
Thanx for another great video Tom, I'm always learning something from you.
Fantastic! As always.
Amazing insight.
Keep 'em coming! Always enjoy watching these. Usually I end up watching em 3-5 times before you upload a new one.
Thanks Mr. Wittmann
Always Enjoy Your Unboxing Video’s .
Thanks for your time and knowledge Mr Wittman

And now it is time to pour a relaxing tumbler of "Old Barn Owl" bourbon and relax!
Funny but the pommel on the army dagger the monogram looked like a bishop's hat.?
Great video nice daggers nice helmets couple bad things but we all saw those befor love your videos
Great unboxing love that inscripted army dagger. Thanks Mr. Wittmann
Great vid as always. Why not do a unboxing special, switch places, get Tom to video and Rob to unbox.

I'll ask him to address this question.
First !!! Keep on these videos Tom !!!

Happy 60th show !!👍👍
All videos are great . But I must admit that even I don’t smoke I am want to make now that cigarette hahaha. Makes a great style
What ever became of the Gary Mahaffey collection. He was a rather distinguished collector.
Just a quick question.....
Why the edit to a different box after the cold weather Luftwaffe hat? I love the videos and usually spend my lunch watching them. I've learned so much, and I'm looking very forward to starting my collection.
The M42 camo helmet might be legit but I'd get a second or third opinion on it. The liner and chinstrap don't look good to me.
from your previous video, when you say you can look up a lot more info on who owned this chain SS dagger can you et us know how? are there websites? would be super interesting to know as im trying to find records for my great grandfather also
...full advance, you good companions!...
Thank you, Wittmann Team!! That card was Hitler trying to keep the door open for a possible romantic encounter....
I watch every unboxing and wonder who drew the magic mushroom heads in the background 🤔✌
You know, I see those exact drawings in a particular crypto community that I'm involved with and was surprised to see them here; I also live in NJ like Whittmann, so perhaps there's some connection.
I have the Naval dagger and lanyard my dad brought home, too bad he dug up weeds with it !
When you say "Lanyard" are you referring to the hanger or portopee?
Still has value to a new collector.
Hello Mr Wittmann! Can i write you an email with photos of an AH plaque? i want to ask you if it is original or not!
1 more box 😂. Gotta love him lol
So, I have a question. This may be silly, but when a dagger is in the scabbard backwards could that mean the wearer was left handed?
Interesting question, but this meant the dagger would have ben worn hanging from the right hip!?
The dagger was always hanging from the left, so details on the dagger always had to face left, plus remember, no question is ever dumb ;)
Prost From Düsseldorf Germany.
Prost, Felix!

I'll never understand putting daggers in scabbard backwards. You buy nice daggers but don't know this. Jesus
I'm just kidding Tom I'm not serious I love you and Bob Burns keep up the good videos jay
Why do I never see these great early SA daggers on the Wittmann's website? I am looking for a while now to add a nice Wilhelm Kober or something.
Typically because people call up for them after seeing them in the video; they never make it. We actually have some coming up reasonably soon but Ob can only work so fast.
@@WittmannAntiqueMilitaria Looking forward to seeing them on the website. Thank you for the reply!

Tom can smell a bad SS from a mile away lol
"Proost" is dutch expresion !
Seems a lot of those fake ss daggers are about now , best place for it is the bin
I agree. I wish we could "restore" them with an angle grinder and a sledgehammer.
The camera man needs to work on his breathing while filming.Just sayin
Wear some gloves for gods sake and quit blowing that damn cigar smoke all over those historical pieces.
