Thank you SO much for pointing out that her mic was on!!! I've seen her live twice and she sings LIVE!!! I don't know why it's so hard for people to accept this but that's just what she sounds like.
This was performed Live at the Jackson's Family Honors Television Special in 1994 on NBC .They had the entire Jackson family present ,including grandchildren ,and Joe and Katherine Jackson. Michael was also there but didnot perform. The proceeds from the show which honored Elizabeth Taylor and Berry Gordy went to charity
Pat u said it All...this Generation just don't know...Janet is The Queen..it's in the blood with her and Mj...🤌🏽She has your attension from being to end..Her Swag! EVERYTHING ON POINT!💯 I Have been a fan since the being of her career..yes do ore reactions of Janet live performances..did u see Janet "American idol performance 2009..check that out two songs( Nothing & Nasty)
Great reaction. I was 15 when the Janet album came out and recorded every live performance and taped the weekend top 40 countdowns. May 1993 through 1994 was Janet's greatest era. I saw her in concert the same month this performance was aired...February 1994. It was such a great time to be alive and in love with music. No cell phones, no social media drama...just great concerts with attentive fans.
This is Michael Jackson's level right here (his brother being homaged through the Smooth Criminal reference, by the way). And no one can dispute the throne to Michael Jackson. Period. Janet Jackson is at her brother's level. I wish the young generation understands what that means and I wish they could have witnessed her influence back in the day but alas "the 2004 superbowl thing" made it different. Now, having said that, I saw this performance back in 1994 (not 1993) and this was part of a special show entirely made in favor of the Jackson Family. Janet's performance was the highlight. Michael was there but did not perform, although the entire Jackson family Michael included went on stage for the finale (along with then newcomer Céline Dion lol), so to sing a very nice rendition of a beautiful song called "If You'd Only Believe) originally sung by Jermaine Jackson and his brothers on the 1989 album "2300 Jackson St.", which you should check ;) Thanks for promoting Janet by the way. Facts must be reestablished ;) This performance of Alright was amazing, the recreation (and more) of the video clip's choreography is flawless. I repeat myself : this is Michael Jackson's level here ;) Love from France.

I recorded this and watch it over and over again in my dorm room. I had that choreo down! Janet is everything!
She slayed that stage and left the building. Wasn’t seen the rest of the show. 😆
