Because of this video, I have "Subscribed"! Nice work on the video. You did a fine job editing out the bits that are a waste of time to watch like, for example, watching the T-45 sit on the taxiway for 15 minutes waiting to take off or other planes taxiing around the airport for 20 minutes. Thank you!
To ASV is that a new Navy Jet trainer aircraft.
@@fredrickdouglassmccoy2608 No, that's a privately owned Marchetti S-211. It looks pretty similar to a Navy T-45 Goshawk trainer, so they painted it up like one. You can actually buy a ride in it: s-211training.com/
That Mozzie was restored at my home field, Ardmore in New Zealand. The 3rd one completed in 10 years. Got to formation fly with her. Awesome..!
Among such amazing aircraft the mosquito still stands out. Great video.
wal, just look at it's list of achievements , unparalled, and made of Wood, mostly.
Thanks for video.
A S you've out done your self, you're a videographer
with top skills. If I didn't
know any better I'd swear you were an ex-recon guy. You captured one of the most beautiful planes from WW II the Mosquito in all it's
glory. Kudos and awesome!
I know some of the tv and audio people who set up for this show. They are professionals. Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, California and North Carolina has the best Television broadcasting and audio people in the country.
Sweet F8F Bearcat in there!
What was the big blue and white tricycle at 3:10 ?
Eagle23 that would be the T-28 Trojan, not seen often, but a warbird all the same
Awesome thank you!
Awesome!
Yes there was
That P-51 with the blue nose and tail reminds me of a documentary on PBS years ago referring to the Blue-Nosed Bastards of Bodney.
That De Havilland Mosquito came from an airport in New Zealand called Ardmore Aiport and I live very close to Ardmore.
@a10warthog61 what da?...
@a10warthog61 And why not? few give that great little country, the praise it so deserves. FANTASTIC JOB MATE !!
@@theaviationchannel9111 I can see his green eyes from accross the pond.
@a10warthog61 BITCHY
6:22 *"I want one"* me too buddy, me too.
Has the mosquito been at previous air ventures. Gorgeous plane
Not this one. Just arrived in the US earlier this year
The EAA also has one in the Oshkosh museum.
@@AreeyaKKC From my home field. Ardmore New Zealand..
@@MBCGRS been to wanaka a few times ages ago. One of best shows in the world
@@AreeyaKKC Come down for Classic Fighters Airshow in Omaka. Just like WOW but WW1... Peter Jackson's collection. Fantastic...
Oh! Wow! The 1966 North American F-51D Mustang "La Pistolera" owned by the Lewis Air Legends was at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019. I must have missed it because I sure would of liked a photograph of this particular North American F-51D Mustang. I took static photos of all the P-51's on Tuesday and then all of the Mustangs that participated in the airshow on Thursday.
Does anyone know what day this particular North American F-51D Mustang arrived at the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019 event? Did this one partake in the Thursday mass P-51 Mustang airshow segment?
Dang, didn't make it this year. :(
Mosquito, bearcat, and p-51 H!
Yo I remember it was long o this might be a different one my favorite one was team oracle
You missed the E18
is it just me, or was the whole clip out of focus? Couldn't read a single tail number or "NAVY" on some of the aircraft.
The only aircraft better than a Merlin engined Spitfire - A Mosquito with two Merlins. Could take a 4000 pounder all the way to Berlin, flying higher and faster than the fighters.
@@Ford_Raptor_R_720hp_V8 Bollocks I'm dreaming. They sent a hand full after a major raid to take pictures - and drop a "cookie" for good measure
Mr.AlwaysBlue, the cruising speed of a fully loaded (19,000 lb.) Mosquito is 268 mph (top speed of 300 mph) which would be required to fly all the way to Berlin and return. The Merlin-powered P-51D Mustang cruised at 275 mph (12,300 lbs.fully loaded with 2-110 gal drop tanks) and regularly flew to Berlin and back and it had a top speed of 437 mph.
@@PenzancePete I wasn't aware it could carry a load like that. Popular literature states 1000 lb. If that were true the 8th Air Force should have used Mustangs instead of B-17s, which due to the heavy defensive armament, typically only carried 4000 lb while risking the lives of 10 men.
Mosquitoes of various marks could exceed 400mph.
That mosquito is fabulous
Right about the 6:20 mark (+/-10sec), the following comment is heard "I want one!", in reference to what appears to be a US Navy T-45 Goshawk. This may be a privately owned T-45 as the tailhook appears to have been removed (or I am blind, which is just as likely). Anyway, I mentioned the comment heard on the video because I had thought to myself "I want one of those" just before the comment is heard.
It’s an ex-Haiti AF - S 211
It’s a S211
Plane at 3:07??
Love the mosquito I was there the 7 days and I saw the mosquito saw the bearcat with a super sound also the mustangs where nice
you have style
Can anyone identify what's that jet trainer @ 1:35? I thought the USN only operated T-45 Goshawks.
Delten -Eleven I thought it was a ghoshawk...
@@joec4106 No, Goshawk has low wing.
Delten -Eleven good catch! Wow didn’t even notice. Now I’m wondering too...
I believe it is a SIAI-Marchetti S211. I've seen them before, and there is definitely a passing resemblance to a Goshawk. Here's a pic I took last year..... live.staticflickr.com/7912/40585077793_99921e3db5_b_d.jpg
@@SkyhawkSteve Thanks...yes, thought I'd seen it before, so it's an Italian import.
Was that B-17 Madras Maiden?
It is EAA's B-17, "Aluminum Overcast"
Were was Gerry Yagan's Mosquito ??
I believe it is his, such a pretty airplane
Rod Lewis owns this one Gerry's is in Virginal beach fighter factory museum

OOh, nice, a DH Mosquito!
I was the guy In the passenger seat in the P51 at the start of the video...........
I went to OSH for the first time this year. I was really hoping to see a great variety of war birds but it was pretty sparse. Youve seen one P-51 you have seen them all. The F-82 was exotic but there was not much else. A P-40, a couple of Corsairs, F6F and a Bearcat along with a Sea Fury. no P-38, P-39, P-47, P-63, F4F, F7F and so on. Really sad. Reno had a huge showing apparently at the 2018 Races.
There was the Mosquito which is rather exotic
Every year is different. I was impressed by the number of privately owned jet warbirds. Two MiG-17's, two TA-4 Skyhawks and an A-4C, a F-5A, a FJ Fury, some T-33s, some S211's, an L-29, a half dozen L-39's, two T-2 Buckeye's, and probably other stuff. Not a lot of warbirds flying in the airshow though... a shame.
You have to go to the museum in Chino for their air show, they have the full collection.
P-51B/Cs. Ds, cavalier 2000s, a rare P-51H
@@AreeyaKKC XP-51 with guns in the nose was there that was pretty rare. But as I said a lot of P-51s and not much else.
The sad thing about Oshkosh is no aerobatics allowed. Would love to see the Hellcat do a little
🤟
😍
I was down by the mosquito when it was taxiing
@a10warthog61 Leave them alone, probably some retired old man or lady.
@a10warthog61 I EXPECT THERES ENOUGH FOR THE WHOLE CROWD
DID YA GET WOOD ?
Oooooooooooohhhhhhh Those Packard Merlins do sing their song in the Mustangs !!! The sound of VICTORY the sound of FREEDOM !!!!
@Stool Posts I said it to the SHIT that just spewed out of your mouth dumb ass !!!!!!
Wilbur Finnigan Could you possibly find a more stereotypical and cliched thing to say..? Doubt it.
@@markhepworth4804 FUK you !!! Go read the First Amendment to the US Constitution !!!! DUUUHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@Ford_Raptor_R_720hp_V8 Yes it was !! Huge expenditures inn WWII and a bad decision to merge with Studebaker, another WW II Military producer, Wright R1830'sand the Studebaker6X6 military truck, Army Weasels And neither received any worthwhile post war military contracts !!!! sad as both were top notch companies !!!
@@Ford_Raptor_R_720hp_V8 Without Rolls Royce there would, of course, have been no Packard Merlin and the Mustang would have remained the 'also ran' that it was with the Allison engine. Anyway, to suggest that Packard's were better is, of course, entirely subjective but one can't expect objectivity in YT comments.
All those T6s at 6:00 powered by Honda engines...........
Oil all over the canopy. I'm like this shit happens, everyone settle the fvck down
I'm like it's cool, this shit happens. Pretty sure there are 9 mich. Lights in the cooler, enjoy. Trust me I got it.
Rather be looking at a P-38 lightning.
good for you
Go and look at one then...weirdo.
