These kids CRUSHED IT. Don't know what some of you are listening to, but in a school auditorium - this is NASTY! I'd pay to hear this. Better than big name concerts I've been to. These kids are unbelievable.

As a Violin player and a parent with 2 kids that played in the High school band with one student in the award winning High School Jazz Band.all 4 years. WOW does not even come close to describing how good that is.
Yes, Troy High School (in Michigan) has a phenomenal orchestra as well as band programs. We are very fortunate that our children have the opportunity to participate in these wonderful programs.

For a youth orchestra, this is incredible. I would have loved to be there for the performance. Mind you this is a recording off of a phone or a camera and it still sounds great...

When I first started listening I thought I need to see who this is playing, and then I saw a High School Symphonic/Concert Orchestra and I was totally able to enjoy this performance especially in an auditorium. After having played in a Symphonic Orchestra before myself they really did a great job. I trust some went on to play in college and beyond. Really loved it when the horns came in towards the last, that's what I played so I am bias.
cannot understand how interpretations like this can gain *thumbs down* on what ever level the *thumbs down provider* is basing their criticism on, does it deserve their glorious addition of publicly not liking something like this? "I don't like this, I MUST let people know." Music is always interpretation, speed, key, transposition are all minor notes toward a performance like this. Playing live things always generally speed up, adrenaline and passion are key factors. rant rant haha, sometimes I wish the social worlds would remove the dislike option, whats the use in pushing more negativity into the world...oh freedom of speech and thought of course! "the free world" anyway...this was beautiful, for the players ages and unity throughout I was in awe, a few pieces of music that will touch the hearts of generations to come!... ok might have one thing to add, segue's through the sections. :P
Lucky you, we went to a McDonels next to our school for a middle school field trip......This isn't a joke. You guys went to see an orchestra?! Makes me wish I grew up rich
🔴 Much better version. The voicing for the prominent French horn parts keep getting lost. Basically volume of the orchestra is over powering the French horn‘s. And the lead violinist needs to put some pep in his step for his lead parts. After listening to two orchestra versions of this amazing piece it makes me so thankful to be able to sit down and play absolutely every single part myself and then multi track every instrument one at a time. Which allows me to get every single instrument correct along with proper voicing and expression. Because the orchestra is constantly playing near full volume, they have nothing left in reserve to get louder when they need to when it counts the most. Especially when the theme movement comes to an end, requiring maximum volume. It goes without saying, these are Highschool kids doing an outstanding job for their age. I as well was in my high school orchestra band back in the day.
