Even more impressive is that they are only getting better and about to release a new album. It's good to be a Babymetal fan right now, great footage btw.
Bruh one of my friends tried to tell me Babymetal isn't metal????? I disagree Babymetal is the most metal band the world has seen in a long time. They mix all these different styles together somehow make it work and don't care if you don't like it. They rebel against standard troupes and push the envelope of what metal is and can be. If this isn't metal then I don't know what is.

Kami band in all its various combinations are absolutely awesome. I dont think there are any "pure" metalbands out there with musicians that can keep up with them. The only ones i can think of are Dave Mustaine and his bunch.
Assuming the Choreo is Mikiko, I'm amazed at how she is able to pull out the flow of a song, emphasizing the right parts with the right movements, all while translating the emotion and intent of the lyrics, and doing so with with a style of music that is not inherently dance-able. Props to Mikiko.
Mikiko is amazing .. Elevenplay, Perfume, Babymetal and a lot more including the Rio Olympics. In an interview Mikiko said "Su will learn a dance and then come back and it is changed slightly to fit better to her." Not an exact quote but Su has a the microphone and her dances do stray a bit from the others since her part isn't the same as whoever else happens to be there.
Sorry to be replying to this almost a year later, but I just recently followed a link to this video. Mikiko had this listed on her website as one of the songs that she created the choreography for. I'm assuming that was for this three person version, rather than the Su-metal freestyling from when it was known as 'Tattoo'.
@@rickwagner- It could still be that, while Mikiko-sensei was the one to officially lock down the choreography, she intentionally let Su freestyle it in the beginning, so that she could incorporate Su's own personal style into it. She had said before that Su has a unique style all her own, and it wouldn't surprise me if, as an artist/choreographer, she wanted to experiment with seeing where Su would take things if left mostly to her own devices, and then took inspiration from that to make the official choreo. And it's not so far from how they previously have done things, taking elements of the girls' own mannerisms and incorporating them into the official choreo. I mean, I don't expect them to give official credit to Su if she was more like acting as a 'model' free-styling, while Mikiko was the 'painter' to capture it into a routine that could be taught to other dancers. Of course, this is all entirely conjecture and daydreaming on my part. I have no idea if it's true or not. But it doesn't seem implausible to me, and I can dream, darn it! 😅
Amazing how they can do this and stay in synch with the backing tracks and the click tracks. So professional. These dances are also altered to fit each stage that they happen to have to be on that night. Anything else, but you can't say they aren't very special performers.
They do it all themselves too. Including requested the sound they want on their ear monitors. Make the lead guitar sound louder on this song, etc. And they were doing it all when they were still teens. They are years ahead to many performers.

A lot of the vocals are also recordings to allow them time to dance and they were doing this since they were 10 for Yui and Moa and 12 for Su. Su was in a few other projects before Babymetal so she has the most experience. They are performers, that is very true but they are replaceable.
@@HellenKillerProject Perfume sings even less live I think ? Su-metal sings almost everything live. Team Babymetal (well, Kobametal probably) always wanted the live experience. His background is in band-culture, not idol culture. It started out with a tape, but soon after came the always-silent-Marshall stacks, followed by the "we do it live in our hearts" Babybones and then the Kami Band. They are definitely part of the experience.

She's known for doing that.(no bs) she said in a interview that she actually trys to make eye contact with people at shows to show her appreciation to the fans oh and also she said she loves food in the same interview🤣
I was right up there pretty close, AMAZING show. The girls are so beautiful, of course they are on video too but when you see them up close IRL it's a whole new level of awesome. Su sounded amazing. I could hardly hear Moa at all. That was the only negative of the show for me. I have a love/meh relationship with this song. Nothing but Su's dancing was enjoyable for me when she did it solo, now I absolutely love the solos and new choreo, but the repetitive lyrics just don't do much for me. The breakdowns and music are good but I just think the song is a little weak. But the new additions to it really make the crowd get into it so it makes up for the lyrics being a tad repetitive.
