Hey Eddie love your work. Am a Scott living in Adelaide South Australia. Makes feel a wee bit home sick, wee bit teary eyed. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the info Edward. Not sure I can manage a hike but I’ll certainly try. Looks a lot of uphill. Accessability is the key.

I think we might be related. My grandmother was a Burns and had family who emigrated to New Zealand. Possibly her great grandad? I remember my father telling me this a few years ago. Small world. 😅

An interesting and informative film. Good to see that there is a battlefield walk/trail. Is there one for Falkirk?

Hello Edward. Thanks so much for the history. I’m a Hailstones and one of my ancestors fought in this battle. I’ve wanted to visit for a number of years. I may make the journey yet.

''Government forces'' always makes me laugh. The same British regiments, in their British army uniforms, standing with their British flags, suddenly become 'Hanoverian' or 'Government' in this campaign - possibly due to the British army's raping, pillaging and murdering after Culloden not being good for its reputation? Certainly, the battles of the '45 aren't amongst the British army's battle honours. Curiously though, the British army in Northern Ireland, itself hardly covered in glory, was never referred to as the 'government' army...
