Do a lot more timeskip. I agree with u saying it isn’t gonna be a let’s play. Tell people to do the main questline as much as possible till 50 or 55 so they can get contribution, but then just get to 50 and show us the gearing journey of yours.
He'd be a "real gamer" if he didn't spend 10 min talking(Mostly makng up) about what other people do or say. I can watch 100 grind videos and never have someone talk about the supposed different speed any class plays at. RNG, sure. Melting armor/weapons and crafting them into something else, sure. Ninja makes 5 mill less than a Witch in grind spot, nope.
I love this. A lot of gamers just say "play this one he is the best, he is the easiest to max" yeah maybe but if i don't enjoy the game i don't care about my level
I got so happy when you brought up the settings for vision range at 11:20. I have trouble playing games where the camera is 'too close to the character' without getting dizzy/motion sick. thank you for bringing it up
Yeah getting comments like that can be pretty nervewracking, especially once you get bigger and more haters start to come to your channel. As a BDO youtuber be ready for that as BDO has a lot of players with very strong opinions on how things should be done. Even if you clearly state that it's just your opinion and to do what they think is best you'll still get bashed. Just keep your head up and persevere! I think it's great that someone is finally doing a series like this. I've considered it myself but honestly without trading it feels like all the time you sink into the account is wasted progressionwise and it's a lot of effort to maintain this type of channel. Props!
Organization of the video is really well, I enjoyed it from start to finish, starting off with the basics on how each character class can be useful then moving on to the actual gameplay is genius.

thank you my man, for getting down to our level. one of the first people to actually go "how to get good at a game" and then actually start from the bottom up. it's ridiculous when I look up leveling and money making vids and the players say "hey Imma teach you" and then show u their 200lvl character with special abilities your not even close to reaching
I absolutely love that you started this series with a "blank" account. I would like to point out that it is soooo much easier to make money in BDO now, than it was when I first played. I'm just surprised at how many gold bars fall from the sky from questing! Which I think is great. It gives brand new players a nice boost in income to help them get some gear early one. But even without that, there is a ton of new gear (Asulas/Loures) that's great for leveling - that's also free~! Of course... those free gold bars don't last forever. Players still need to learn how to make money after that first "free" 100 mill. "They start their videos at Level 58, with 200 mill worth of gear" (that's just me nitpicking, it's not important) - That's absolutely correct, but the "dollar amount" is probably more like 600m - 1 billion worth of gear. I personally used to hoard all of my silver and try to enchant the "free" way. Which I don't recommend. Basically, when I first played the game, I had ~800 million in Heidel Storage (10-20 million in various other storages just for some small cash in that area) And the items in my Heidel Bank were worth an extra 600 million.... and I was sitting over here with PRI & DUO Armor/Weapons. (Except I had a TRI Liverto... when Livertos where a thing) - And it took me MONTHS to get there, because I just didn't want to spend my money. I don't know why. I was at 385 GS (at the time, when I was playing, 400 GS was a requirement for a lot of "picky" guilds, and 450 GS was the requirement for a lot of "elite/top" guilds
Thank you so much for this, so far it's exactly what I was looking for. I quit BDO many months ago for two reasons - I would get an error when I would try to relog into the game and the only way to work around it was restart my computer, and the second reason was I felt so overwhelmed. So again, thank you for this video.

You are somebody people should look up to in MMORPG's and I agree with your points entirely, even changing my opinion on if I should pick a character to have fun or a character with most efficiency. I am a newbie when it comes to picking character, always taking the "best" class instead of the most fun one.
I'm a new player and I chose ninja super weird but its the most fun I had in a game in the last 3 years and otherwise I'm already level 55 in 2 days I still daw your video and found many things that could actually make my game cooler thank you and keep up the good work!!

Just started this game. Read a lot of tip pages and stuff. And they changed the starter area a hit since this video. But showing me how to turn off those notifications! And a briefing on the UI interface is soooooo useful :D
Great first vid! So much of what you said was true lol. The only thing I didn't see that I thought would be important when you first start is opening your quest journal and, along the bottom, checking the box that allows you to see and accept ALL quests (I didn't realized this until I got my 4th character's awakening--half the quests in the game were hidden from me!!)

I'm a year late.. Let me tell you a tell of BDO Online. Once Upon a Time.. I created a beautiful DK with white hair and decent size tits I spend most of my time fishing and killing mobs I enjoyed the game. I spent most of my time solo For some reason I joined a guild. My love and joy for the game got shit on by toxic chat and crappy not giving af clan. I was minding my own business in a town, someone came up to me and started telling me sweet things. I feel in love with someone I never met before irl, I new it wasn't going to last but I keeped going deeper and deeper down the bunny hole. Irl nothing mattered, irl i stopped caring, but in BDO I cared, I loved and cried for someone who I never met irl.Turns to find out the person I fell for was a dude playing or roleplaying as a girl. After months of opening up to this person online I got my heart ripped opened and completely shit on. A few days later in BDO I went to a light house, I jumped off a cliff by a near by village where I would spend most of my time fishing or afk fishing, I miss this village. I jumped and committed suicide in BDO Nobody cared, nobody cried, nobody noticed that I died. The End -Rivers Nova

I love Valkyrie, first ever character, and first awakened, I play 8 others as well, she is my best geared, my most beloved, and yes, she is underrated, she is amazing. Kudos on breaking the mold a bit not just by choosing her because I feel like a fair few do or have, but, I also just like to play the game, I don't min/max or go with peoples suggestions, I learn by living in the world. We play to have fun! GG!

I'm from Thailand and BDO just open in my country this January so I would love to see your fresh start series. Just to clear things up, just because your awakening changes how you play doesnt mean youre stuck with the awakening if you dont fancy it, you can actually switch between them on a whim, so if you like ranger but wish you had that bow back you can do so even mid-battle, in fact some higher tier pvp requires switching between them constantly to be flexible.
I love how you are ACTUALLY starting from the bottom. I also play WoW and all of the gold guides are people who just buy WoW tokens and sell them and then makes a gold guide about killing a bunch of monsters and acting like it's actually a good way to make gold.
Whooo thanks for picking valko, I love that class and it hurts that nobody else plays it! LvL 60 valk right now and I have seen like 2 valks in nodewars total and about 10 in my whole time playing this game! Low PVE power compared to most but good PVP and very fun gameplay!
Its so amazing to see these older videos. I picked Valkyrie back in 2016 when the game launched. It was the worst class, compared to Sorc, Ranger, etc, but i sticked with Valkyrie. It was slow, shield throw + sword of judgement all day. Finally awakenings came out and by the time i got my Lancia i was a level 60 Valk with 2,700 skillpoints and finally i could move quickly and keep up. I became a absolute beast, destroying almost anyone, even going as far as able to 1v3, but still barely anyone played Valk and i never understood why. Finally the big rebalance nerf patch came and Valk was hit the hardest, by that time i was level 62 and having a blast! This patch however completely gutted any fun i was having. RIP Valk.
Alright. Bdo is undergoing maintenance right now and I'm trying not to think about the game because I want to play it so bad. So I went into this video (because I can't get the game out of my head and I'm done trying) annoyed. But this guy cracked me up at least 4 times in the first minute. That's earned you a subscriber!
Im level 60 ninja and ive only spent $10 on the game. i have 5 pets value pack costume ect.. just get lucky on the market. But yea weight is a drag lol
What an ABSOLUTE load of shit, I have bid on SOO many pets. I at one point had every pet on notice including a lot of pets that are seasonal and not advertised on the market, with a market maid and got 0...
~ New player, THANK YOU!♥ for this, as you say they have videos that say for Beginners, yeah, I believe that when they are all made around Lv 60 (I was beginning to think that your character means nothing till that level?) ~ Well, my character is limited to female (as I am one, love that I have that choice!) I would not consider a male, as that would be just too weird for me!LOL! And I love High elves!♥ (so guess what my Main is?LOL!) ~ I get lost easily so I need the direction finder, I like the effect of Guiding fairy! (it is not so intrusive as the arrows in a line!LOL) I lost my house, (finally found it, as it was set up for cooking! At Loggia Farm, I thought here would be good for my workers as I get to getting them!) :) so that is how bad I am!LOL! Though in RL I hardly get lost!? ~ I am also playing on PC, but use an XBox controller, it was what I got used too, while playing action games, (though I will use the keyboard for say The Sims!) I have made it difficult for myself as I try to work out which buttons to use on my Controller, I still don't know how to sprint! LOL! ~ I know this was made some years ago, & a lot has changed but this still works, so thank you again for these!♥

I love Valkyrie, first ever character, and first awakened, I play 8 others as well, she is my best geared, my most beloved, and yes, she is underrated, she is amazing. Kudos on breaking the mold a bit not just by choosing her because I feel like a fair few do or have, but, I also just like to play the game, I don't min/max or go with peoples suggestions, I learn by living in the world. We play to have fun! GG!

This is look so interesting I'm new in BDO and I just found your channel by searching for some tips in BDO. You explained really well and easy to understand that chat-box tip was really good though. I'm from Thailand and BDO just open in my country this January so I would love to see your fresh start series. Oh and one more thing .. please make your video at least 1/2 an hour long if it possible but if you can't thats fine for me :) and thank you for making this interesting series Mr.Luke.

Just to clear things up, just because your awakening changes how you play doesnt mean youre stuck with the awakening if you dont fancy it, you can actually switch between them on a whim, so if you like ranger but wish you had that bow back you can do so even mid-battle, in fact some higher tier pvp requires switching between them constantly to be flexible.

I love how you are ACTUALLY starting from the bottom. I also play WoW and all of the gold guides are people who just buy WoW tokens and sell them and then makes a gold guide about killing a bunch of monsters and acting like it's actually a good way to make gold.
Whooo thanks for picking valko, I love that class and it hurts that nobody else plays it! LvL 60 valk right now and I have seen like 2 valks in nodewars total and about 10 in my whole time playing this game! Low PVE power compared to most but good PVP and very fun gameplay!
Its so amazing to see these older videos. I picked Valkyrie back in 2016 when the game launched. It was the worst class, compared to Sorc, Ranger, etc, but i sticked with Valkyrie. It was slow, shield throw + sword of judgement all day. Finally awakenings came out and by the time i got my Lancia i was a level 60 Valk with 2,700 skillpoints and finally i could move quickly and keep up. I became a absolute beast, destroying almost anyone, even going as far as able to 1v3, but still barely anyone played Valk and i never understood why. Finally the big rebalance nerf patch came and Valk was hit the hardest, by that time i was level 62 and having a blast! This patch however completely gutted any fun i was having. RIP Valk.

Alright. Bdo is undergoing maintenance right now and I'm trying not to think about the game because I want to play it so bad. So I went into this video (because I can't get the game out of my head and I'm done trying) annoyed. But this guy cracked me up at least 4 times in the first minute. That's earned you a subscriber!

1st thing you need to do in BDO isn't turning off notification, it's press F3 and drop around 200$ on weight, pets,a value pack and a costume.
Im level 60 ninja and ive only spent $10 on the game. i have 5 pets value pack costume ect.. just get lucky on the market. But yea weight is a drag lol
How long did it take you to get the pearl items in the market?

~ New player, THANK YOU!♥ for this, as you say they have videos that say for Beginners, yeah, I believe that when they are all made around Lv 60 (I was beginning to think that your character means nothing till that level?)
~ Well, my character is limited to female (as I am one, love that I have that choice!) I would not consider a male, as that would be just too weird for me!LOL! And I love High elves!♥ (so guess what my Main is?LOL!)
~ I get lost easily so I need the direction finder, I like the effect of Guiding fairy! (it is not so intrusive as the arrows in a line!LOL) I lost my house, (finally found it, as it was set up for cooking! At Loggia Farm, I thought here would be good for my workers as I get to getting them!) :) so that is how bad I am!LOL! Though in RL I hardly get lost!?
~ I am also playing on PC, but use an XBox controller, it was what I got used too, while playing action games, (though I will use the keyboard for say The Sims!) I have made it difficult for myself as I try to work out which buttons to use on my Controller, I still don't know how to sprint! LOL!
