This is a selection of what I believe to be some of George's greatest guitar solo's of 1962 - 1969.
I think that's all I have to say for this one!
Hope you enjoyed, See you in the next video! :)
I was watching this thinking, “If ‘Something’ is not in there, then this list invalid.” Good job.
Octopus Garden has one of the most coolest sounding intros of all time in my opinion
Yes , "And your Bird can sing "is also in this style . I love it !
As much said, none of the Beatles were very amazing musicians, what made them a great band was the lyrics. Paul and John were amazing songwriters, and for the very few songs George wrote they were amazing. But then I have heard something about Paul being one of the best bassists.
Just like Ringo, George played what was melodically necessary to adorn the song with simple-sounding complicated parts. Perfection.
Edit: love the coat. *chefs kiss*
George played with such versatility and taste throughout his entire career. Whether hy-brid picking, picking, playing slide, acoustic or classical, his spirit came through his sound as uniquely his own.
He was lucky to be McCartney's boyhood chum. He was an average guitarist and singer who wrote a few great songs.
@@chipgaasche4933You are wrong, he was better then Macca and Lennon. Even Paul said this.
@@2JorgeBeatnot true. Paul is the most talented Beatle, he could play many instruments. Search it up if you don’t believe me.
I never said any of that? I never said George was the most talented Beatle, and even then I certainly don't think Paul was the most talented Beatle. None of them were more talented than the other. It was the way they collaborated and bounced off of eachother that made them successful
@@LucaColaMusicThat's the truth
Very nice choices. I've always loved the various solos out there of the song "Let It Be." Thanks.
Yes, those are definitely some of his best work.
George Harrison was the very first guitarist I got into back when I first started playing at 10 years old (I’m 24 now) and he’s still one of my biggest influences, he just had such a unique style and never overplayed anything. All his riffs and solos always fit the song perfectly and I love it, great video man
Thank you man! I absolutely agree! :)
Spot on! Wasn’t one for lengthy meandering waffle but were like beautiful musical motifs that fit the song .
Very well done. George was such and underrated lead guitarist.
Underrated by whom? He is always in the top 25 of most lists.
@@FrankHerrera-qr1mh As in compared to Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Mick Taylor, etc. Even Keith Richards gets more credit than him and no way could Keith do the versatility, chord structure or fills like George could.
@ovalvox7888 George was not a shreader or speed demon, but his work is precious. Musicians who cover his stuff never underrate him, just as great drummers never underrated Ringo. Those who underrated talent blow wind from anus. Pay them no mind.
@@FrankHerrera-qr1mh I don’t. The Beatles are still number one in my book.
He was lucky to be McCartney's boyhood chum. He was an average guitarist and singer who wrote a few great songs.
George was the heart of the Beatles due to his beautiful solos.
Definitely not my man, 😂 Paul and John were definitely way more integral
He was lucky to be McCartney's boyhood chum. He was an average guitarist and singer who wrote a few great songs.
@@chipgaasche4933LMAO I can just tell you’ve only heard here comes the sun
Excellent work. The outfits are great too. I don’t think George is as underrated as some say. Anyone who actually plays an an instrument knows how great he is. Too few people actually play. That’s why it’s so nice to see such a young player who gets it.
George is the less narcisist player i ever heard. Never wanting to be in the front. Allways playing delicately and the exact note what is needed. No more, no less
Something is a George's masterpiece
Great playing and a lovely collection of guitars. Excellent stuff. Well done.
You could say it's a YES from you! Hahaha ;)
And his dress collection
They didn't seem to give George the appreciation, respect and admiration he deserved.
Agreed! Although he was a valued member of the band, he never really had much of a say in the grand schemes of the group
@@LucaColaMusic It seems like he may have gotten the cold shoulder, have been taken for granted, and excluded -- despite being such an integral part of the band.
The fans loved George! I think John and Paul did realize his guitar skills very much. But yes it took awhile before they acknowledged his songwriting. Too bad John didn't live to play again with George... Hopefully they are now!!!
Because it was Paul's band.
Great job! Personally, I feel like you missed some of his other amazing solos ('Til There Was You comes to mind, among others). Keep it up!
There was far to many to fit into one video!! Plus I didn't really remember them all. And I didn't have much time. But I'm very glad you enjoyed :)
It's been the first one that came into my mind. I personally think it's his best or one of his. Very beautiful and non-logical as much of his work (that's a compliment!!!)
And of course , a jazz, riff in ,,ill follow the sun,.
ジョージのうまさってちっちゃい時、分からなかったけど、自分が70歳になって振り返ってみると複雑な事してんだなあーとかんしんさせられました。アップありがとうございました。😊
one thing i think that he did brilliantly is what i would call "rhythm guitar solos" much like on "everybody's trying to be my baby" and "hey bulldog" i really think he should have done more of those kinds of things leads based around chord shapes.
but while guitarists like DAVE GILMOUR and LESLIE WEST are praised fer theri simplicity with GEORGE it seemed to often be considered a weakness. i think his leads are some of the greatest and most underrated in music history.
Fabulous! No apostrophe needed in ‘solos’ fyi; it’s just a plural.
Good job! You really captured that early Beatles stumbling, staccato style that George had.
Well done!
This was awesome! I loved that you changed the outfits too!
Thanks Aubrey!
Had a lot of fun picking them out :)
I'm just pleased with the fact that George always intended to play melodic solos and his huge inspiration was Carl Perkins in that matter. Had he become a shredder or a bluesy guitarist, The Beatles wouldn't be as perfect as they are.
Long live the greatest quartet ever!❤
All of em perkins fans..rockabilly
Nice video and you great, i believe in Nowhere man only George plays his solo...
I've heard from various sources it's John and George both going through the same amp! :)
Best solo,,i dont want to spoil the party,,😊
Part two... :)
That was a wonderful video with great playing Luca. Thank you for posting.
Nice job! Very talented and with a cool rooftop coat!!
Thanks Pam! Glad you enjoyed. Love using the correct clothes for each song :)
Absolutely. George would of loved it. Felt like I was watching george myself. And seeing him progress as a musician! Where did you get that rooftop coat?!? I love it!
Glad you enjoyed! George's parts are the best. I got the coat in a charity shop, I'm pretty sure it's a ladies coat from pretty little thing lol
@@LucaColaMusic Well I'll have to have a look for one hahah! I aspire to be as good as you on guitar. Been playing rhythm for 2 months now, can whack out a good few beatles hits
excellent demonstration
THIS IS AMAZING!!! YOU NAILED IT LUCA
Thanks mate!
Glad you're liking the videos :)
XLNT way to give thanks to a very talented man,RIP
Glaring omissions are “Old Brown Shoe”, “Bad Boy”, “Slow Down”, and “Let it Be” (album version),
Very impressive!!
Thank you Michael! :)
Nice video and nice playing. Its really hard to pick up the Best Harrison solos throughout the Beatles career, but you forgot the iconic A hard days night 12st guitar solo. Was magic.
Man, you left out one of George's best early compositions that was so eloquently played! "Till There Was You" had a beautiful and melodic acoustic guitar that flowed through the song. It is hard to believe George played it when he was around 19 years old!!
I recently got turned on to George's solo on crying waiting hoping live at the BBC... Check it out sometime. Massively overlooked as some of George's best playing
Heard that many times! Absolutley fantastic solo! Check out my youtube short I made performing the solo!
Love that george coat 😉
Thanks man! Only cost a fiver
They are all awesome. But there is couple that I wish they ( The Beatles / George ) have made it a tiny bit longer...Such as 'All My Loving' and ' And I Love Her '... But in the end, 'short and sweet ' is what make one's heart long for more...That's the power of George's solo..RIP George, you're so missed..
George was the very best slow beautiful solo composer
I knew that had to be George on "Hey Bulldog.
I love how accurate you got all the parts and the guitars and costumes good job
Great stuff. Well done.
omg i loved this.
Thanks Nate!
Had a great time making it :)
Incredible job!!!!
Thank you!
Now a days you have UA-cam helping you learn how to play parts on the Guitar the correct way. Back when I was in a band,
I had to play the part over and over until I thought I got it right. Double tracking Guitar leads really make it sound so good!
I do it every once in awhile.🎸🎸❤❤💙💙💋💋
Kudos on having all the props! (guitars and outfits) keep on practicing, you’re doing great!
GREAT ❤
Gracias !!!
Great! Are we sure, though, that the lead guitar on Yer Blues is George and not John? Has a real John feel to it. As for Octopus' Garden, I would include the little solo that opens the song! Thanks again.
I'm sure it was confirmed by some that George played the 2nd solo! I assume lol! :)
Awesome 😊
Thank you! :)
A badass compilation but you forgot THESE solos to me:
Can't Buy Me Love
I'm Down
Baby's In Black
I Don't Wanna Spoil The Party
Kansas City
The Night Before
Let It Be
Dig A Pony
Still a great vid 😃😊.Plz do one about your favourite Paul and John solos someday too.🙃😉AND please cover Can't Buy Me Love😊😊
I completely forgot about those!! Absolutley kicking myself now lol. I'll make one for John and Paul at some point soon :)
@@LucaColaMusic ABSOLUTELY AWESOME MATE!!! 😃👍❤️🤗FUCKING MINDBLOWING!! 😳😳THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! 😢😢😢I'M SO OVERJOYED!!! 😭😭🥺🥺
@@LucaColaMusic There’s always room for George Solos Part 2!
TAMBIÉN; HEY BULLDOG ; DON´T BOTHER ME ; IF I NEEDED SOMEONE ; I'M ONLY SLEEPING ; OLD BROWN SHOE ; AFTER 909 ; I ME MINE ; YOU´RE GONNA LOSE THAT GIRL : ANY TIME AT ALL : IT WON'T BE LONG ; TILL THERE'S WAS YOU ; A HARD DAY'S NIGHT ; DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A SECRET ; DAY TRIPPER ; RAIN - ENTRE OTRAS.
Great!
i love this
So cool that bulldog got a mention!
and the thing is a lot of these solos and arrangements were written and performed that very day when the songs were presented by John and Paul to George and Ringo. According to Paul they usually took 20 minutes to get the arrangemants and then record the songs immediately. WOW
At young age he already able to do unique blend of many guitar solos that's amazing coz majority of those boys in early days & even today are just copying tune of other guitarist. His guitar solo became trademark of many beatles songs
Great job!
Nicely done! I especially loved your renditions of Beethoven and Everybody’s Trying to Be My Baby (x2!) You should try the solo from Old Brown Shoe next, that’s another really fun one
Definitely! Making a part 2 some day! :)
George Wrote Old Brown Shoe !
@@my-t-mikedaly607 yes!
Nice job
Genio musical!
Let It Be lp solo was a great one...And Your Bird Can Sing..always loved all the fills and the ride out soloing on Revolution #1 off The White Album...so hard to chose 13. Nice job all around too.
I would have included the solo on Can't Buy Me Love.
Definitely making a part 2!
Nicely done - you have a lot of guitars
george did them with effortless flow, the true sign of a master
1:15 Long Tall Sally are the real best and OP among the top solo's
Agreed! One of George's best early solos! :)
John played the lead on Hey Bulldog, using George's guitar.
I doubt that, I don't see it being probable
Great sound!!! from Japan.
ありがとうございました! :)
@@LucaColaMusic Thanks for your Japanese reply!!!!
@@user-em8tk8qj9t No problem :)
Excellent work! How did you manage to make that Gretsch Electromatic sound like both a Country Gent and Tenny?
Glad you enjoyed!
Not really sure how! The Vox ac30 settings where:
Treble: Full
Bass: 2
Tone cut: 0
The strings used where flatwound d'addarios, .11s
Very well done! This is great reference for guitar playing Beatles' fan like myself. The only small critique I would say is practice adding a bit of vibrato to your held notes.
Que buen guitarrista te felicito ,soy fanatico de los Beatles. ,tengo la coleccion en vinilos ,son de epoca ,la mejor,Nestor de mte.grande
Amazing job!
Looking the picture
For a sec I thought It was John5 😅
Nice job...there is some question regarding the Bulldog solo..whether it was John or George. Sounds more like John to me. Thank you for your video!
Im definitely gonna get a hollow body guitar one day
dig a pony has a great solo
Agreed! Gonna make a part two one day :)
I’ve always loved his roll over b solo
Magic fingers of george.. ❤
Thank you -this was so excellent and authentic, They playing, the appropriate guitars, even the clothing - way cool! So were the "Nowhere Man" Stratocasters Daphne Blue (as I believe yours is) or Sonic Blue? I've read both and can't conclusively determine from the pictures that I've seen.
No sólo la originalidad creativa, el buen gusto es extraordinario.
Im something didn't make it we where gonna have a problem. Great work! Do McCartney next?
Happy Birthday George! Love you.
While my guitar gently weeps??? It's the best.
Not a George solo! Sorry haha
"Let It Be" - Album version - has to be included. Too many versions of that song out there
Definitely making a part two :)
Amazing video! I loved your guitars, what model of guitar did you use in the song Roll Over Bethoven?
A very underrated guitarist .... however I would have also inserted the solos of A hard day’s night and Can’t buy me love!
"Come together" solos. 🙂
Making a part two soon!
Bossa is played by heart .
I don't understand?
The last one is the best
Yer Blues. Wow ❤️🤘🇮🇹
Your an excellent guitar player, I would like to see more George Harrison stuff, perhaps you can make another video
While My guitar gently weeps, hey Jude!
While my guitar gently weeps was Eric Claptons guitar solo! :)
George didn't used her rosewood Telecaster at "Something"?
No one’s sure who played the Hey Bulldog solo but this is cool
I'm pretty sure it's George, don't think it's John at all haha, glad you enjoyed :)
I think Paul did the solo on Bulldog - as he did on Taxman @@LucaColaMusic John on Yer Blues.
@@brucethomas6886 John did the first solo on yer blues, not the second. A believer in George playing the Hey Bulldog solo until I see convincing proof haha!!
George learnt to play the Sitar while in India in the Beatles earlier years. He played the Sitar in parts of their song Norwegian Wood.
Good stuff. Ever try any of his slide solos? Btw how old are you?
I have! But as of right now, I'm not very good with a slide, but I am going to (hopefully) give "How Do You Sleep" a bash!
Turning 15 start of next year :)
Why is it that you play with like no vibrato but you still sound freaking awesome
jesus christ man
I subbed, keep posting
Listening to this video really demonstrates just how talented George was, because although this was fine, it didn't come anywhere close to the sound and technique that Harrison had
Nice, just gotta do old brown shoe
Definitely gonna do a second part in the future :)
’Till there was you’ is missing.
I'll make a second part one day! :)
Till' there was you .
George Harrison doesn’t get enough credit
Agreed! Super underrated outside of the Beatles / 60s community!
Where's Til There Was You?
My favorite is till there was you
A couple other great solos “A Hard Days Night “ and “Let It Be”
