For a new character, I level until I can unlock Rapids. Then I go through the Psijic skill line. Psijic takes you around the whole base game, so map out skyshards and lorebooks while you do it. By the time I'm done with Psijic, I'm usually mage guild 5 and have a ton of skyshards collected. Psijic is imperative because EVERYONE needs to unlock the portals passive at MINIMUM. Then I join Undaunted and start queuing for dungeons. I make all my characters either an EFFECTIVE tank or healer back bar, and dps front bar. Works great, and no fake-tanking! While I'm queued, I either grind Craglorn to power level or go around to public dungeons to get the skyshard and group event. This is a brief overview, but the key is multitasking and not wasting time while you grind. The more you do early on, the more fun the game will be!
When I'm in need of skill points on my alts I usually go the lazy route. I'll go to a zone I haven't been to yet and pull up a map of the skyshards on my phone and have at it. I'll clear most skyshards then the lazy kicks in again and start the process over in another zone. The problem I create for myself with this method is I'll leave a handful skyshards in every zone, and when I go back to finish I forgot which ones I couldn't find during my 1st run through. Doh!!! It helps having a dedicated crafter too. That allows my alts to only need 3 skill points for medicinal use in alchemy. I use the free re-spec token from the leveling rewards to rip all the points out of alchemy I needed to spend just to unlock tier 3 of medicinal use. Im a nord and did the pact quest who was well pretty cooll, did also have done all the daggerfall quests who was also pretty good, now im doing the aldmeri dominion and must say that the beginning was a bit rushed, they did that done better with daggerfall. But also auridion does have a pleasing story with the organization that try to overthrow the throne . The first island from aldmeri dominion was a bit boring with the pirates
What I no of when you load the video onto UA-cam u can change volumes or use a video editor look at the audio and do it that way I use Todo yt and I no the frustration doing good keep going! btw I could hear you fine lol
Clockwork is an amazing story, pretty fast and you get some awesome recipes, al though they are bound now and very expensive to make. I love Clockwork. You also get a 150% xp scroll that is character bound at the end. Sotha Sil's speech at the end is worth doing the questline several times. For me anyway.
Interesting. Odd thing is I’ve never completed the Clockwork City storyline. I tried it on my main and got stuck somewhere in the middle where the location I needed to head was pinged on the map but got stuck behind a hill. I was too lazy to figure out my way around the hill, bailed, and somehow never returned. I have a new mission this morning! Thanks Jobe again!!
How can anyone not like these quests??? And stories? I understand if u did them 1000 times...but damn. And when you reach lvl 50 u can just go and hunt for sky shards and sometimes you’ll find quests that you never knew we’re there. This game has a way of surprising you, I’d recommend doing all main quests and then hunt for the sky shards and gain champ points.
Lol i’m so stubborn I got all my skill points the hard way and still have not even completed the harborage because the questing tracker back in the day was horrible lol it’s gotten so much better throughout the patches tho
I like to do dungeons and public dungeons for skill points, but at this point I have pretty much all of the available ones at 480, even did dark brotherhood and thieves guild just for points, just have to wait for the new chapter now.
It used to be really bad pugging dungeons. You get with a group that's just flying through, you're trying to get the quest done and you are behind, they kill the boss and you remember too late to talk to the quest giver just as you are teleported out of the instance because they disbanded. Now you stay in instance for two minutes so that's good.
@@UEM Just pointing out that if you are CP160 you could collect and sell the gear you get while doing all the quests and overland stuff. Not a big deal though.
You don’t need that many skill points, make one designated crafter, you save 100 points. You need 55 points to fully max two skill bars. No need to quest at all, leveling up to 50 gives you enough.
Except when you want vampire or werewolf, Undaunted,mage guild, fighters guild, Then what. I want all those bonuses and some skills. To each their own. You actually don't "need" anything, except air and water.

Why Clockwork specifically? Also, normal base game dungeons. First time you do the quest, you get a point and level your Undaunted! Good stuff!

I have purple training gear at level 6. Run base game public dungeons once I can equip for head start on skill points.

I've run through the entire story including cadwell's gold I think skyshards are about the only way left for me to get skill points.
You need to do all the DLC regions. All the dungeons, public and group. I get skyshards too but also the quest points.

I powerleveled to 50. Still have to get all my skillpoints but at least the gear I find will be CP 160. That is something to take into consideration.
I guess it is only relevant if you have a cp160+ character already.

i ended up power leveling by killing zombies, can i still get skills points just by doing story/side quests and getting skyshards
Story quests are great for skill points. Caldwell silver and gold have 65 points total.
