Come on man, you should have taken the provinces of Südtirol, Veneto and Trentino off of Italy ;). Jokes aside: pulling this off without a mod that makes Austria stronger is an insane feat. The mod Austria redone - between two giants is a fun one that gives you a slightly op focus tree and let's you do a lot of fun things with Austria (I'm not afilliated with them, I'm just some Austrian dude who looked for a mod that made Austria playable).
Austria is nice and challenging in vanilla Hoi4. This is already cheesy because joining the comintern bypasses Anschluss. If the Germans did go for Austria, not a single Soviet soldier would be able to help.... But still, with the manpower and industry available it was a struggle!
Impressive. The Yalta event seems quite rare these days. I 've just got it in my current run a few hours ago. I wonder what it'd do to me (communist Balkan Federation about to cap Germany)?
Balkan Federation is a seperate faction. Yalta seems to fire when Comintern and the Allies are winning against the Axis. I don't recall seeing it when there's another faction involved (and winning)
@@antasil5768 Imagine my surprise. Anyway, I capped Germany, puppetted most of it and nothing untoward happened. Even though the states I took for my puppet have West Germany cores now (granted by the Yalta event, I guess)
@@apoivre Yes, east- and west germany come into existence after Yalta. In the past we've seen germany flip to other nations after the peacedeal, good thing that didn't happen.
thank you for the video! i was wondering if it would be possible to add the templates and how you build tanks in the description or at the end of the video? had to go to the bathroom for a few minutes in the middle of the game and i got back and watched the rest of the video and couldnt find the templates anywhere
I’ve seen somewhere on UA-cam that Aggressive assaulter (breakthrough) is the worst. Unyielding defender gives defence + breakthrough (but it says only defence or entrenchment i do not remember), or was it fixed at some point?
The German Name equivalent would make no sense. While it already is very ahistorical, this name is very unnatural. Danubian Confederation already is the most believable Name, as it implies a reformed Austria-Hungary with a nationwide "Ausgleich" as mentioned by the Habsburgs themselves. For comparison that would be like naming the German Empire "Imperial State of Germany"... sure sounds nice but makes zero sense in German Translation and is very unnatural.
