She both looked and sounded like her voice wasn't in the mood to work that day - there's a breathiness in the middle and a labored sound in the high notes she almost never has. She's still wonderfully in tune and does everything in her power to make it sound good, and it shows that even the best singers are still human; all the greats have off days.
I could listen to this 100 times and learn something new every time ... something new about placement and tone, diction, breath and emotion ... She is genius.

Elle a d'autant plus de mérite que très souvent les chanteurs étrangers font assez peu d'efforts de ce côté. Ecoutez Domingo dans les Troyens et vous bénirez Battle...
