If you are trying to replicate the factory spot welds do the first one then the next one at half inch, the next one at 1 inch, the next one at four inches and the next ten at about 1/8 of an inch apart. I worked at Longbridge as a contractor and watched them build the mini's . If the man on the spotwelder had a hangover you would be lucky to get any welds at all in some places. Saying that I still think the mini is the best car ever.
Another good job. I don't mean to be a purist but the back lip of the wing should be welded to the scuttle panel, there should be a stiffener piece between the wing and the A panel also there should be a seam of weld between the wing and the front panel. The stiffening piece between the wing and A panel helps to stop the welds breaking apart due to vibration, it is a weak point on the Mini.
Excellent work mate 👏 will really come in handy when I get to the front end 👍
cheers

Ahh cheers for thaty info! didnt know that so thanks very much, i will make sure its all welded once ive got it on the rotator :)
I notice you didn’t apply any weld through primer before welding up? Any reason for this? Looking good mind.
personally i dont rate it, ive used it in the past, and i just found it burnt away with the heat of the welding, so didnt really do very much.
