Talking Dance | Sasha De Sola on Odette's emotional journey in Swan Lake

Take the plunge into the enchanting world of Swan Lake as principal dancer Sasha de Sola shares insights into portraying the iconic role of Odette in the emotional and visually arresting second act of Swan Lake.
Odette develops an immediate, fateful connection with Prince Siegfried, danced in these clips by principal Isaac Hernandez. Odette loves with a vulnerable and open heart, despite the curse which prevents the two from finding lasting happiness together.
Sasha reflects on the wisdom within Odette's character and how, in her second time taking the stage in this role, she continues to discover new perspectives and interpretations.
Swan Lake returns for encore performances April 30th through May 5th.

Totally agree! Although I much prefer the Balanchine choreography over the Tomasson version.

@@eviltomthai I’ve never seen either version in totality, but in general, I’m not a fan of the Balanchine style of dancing. I prefer Russian trained dancers.
