I wasn't sure about the lotus look when you did the petal outlines... but when you pulled to the center, then some time went by- WOW! It really surprised me about how it turned out! I had NO IDEA that color would slowly bleed towards tbe center. You taught me something today... I will say this about your videos: they are informative, and you ecplain the why & the hows very well. I am a crafter at heart... plus, it is a benefit to my health because it is so relaxing. Dealing with chronic illness is difficult & it puts a strain on the body, barely getting any sleep! Crafting helps a huge amount, because of being able to relax for an extended amount of time... Not to mention it is theraputic.
Those of you that are stuck at home, unable to work... like me, all of you were fed up a LONG time ago, watching reruns of reruns of reruns of the same movies! Crafting is good for the body & soul. And once you are done, you can give a part of yourself to others at Christmas, a birthday, or just because. People treasure gifts that were made by family & friends... because time & thought was put into it.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU for making your videos... they inspire others to do something new & challenging. You are showing all of us what happens when you experiment. In crafting, there is no such thing as a mistake... the majority of the time, when something unexpected happens, it gives the item personality & sets it apart from others.

Just fabulous Julie!!! This design reminds me of my favorite Lily, the Stargazer Lily! You have invented the "Stargazer Lotus" a most beautiful fantasy hybrid!! I am just loving your fantastic mold creations!! Definitely the gold but they are truly all fantastic for background choices!
It does look like the Stargazer lily! That was my mom's favorite lily, and the tiger lily. She never could decide. 😊

I like red or black for the background. And i like when they don't close all the way so you do get a chance to incorporate whatever pretty background color into the bloom of the flower. It IS nice to know who inspired your version because i like to go see what inspired YOU! 🤍

So lovely. My choice of background would be the red, or the purple, then the gold. It is gorgeous, though, regardless of the background that you choose.

I love the pink, purple,black and gold.
If the middle didn't have gold, I'd have recommended a medium tone silver background to bridge that gap between the white petals, and black glitter. As is would work just fine, but I see nothing wrong with a gold-y top coat to complete the tray if you think it really needs it.
