Easily one of my all-time favourites. The walk-in, the station details, the surreal romantic sunset - all brilliant. Like to have had the Newman song continue through the ride - but I can patch this in on my own system. Thanks for the beautiful work.
This is easily one of the best Nolimits 2 videos I've ever seen! Not just because of the coaster, but the culmination of the theming, voice over, lighting (which looked awesome!), etc. Amazing job! Would definitely ride this if it was real.
One of my great favourites of all time. `it's the scenery, the atmosphere nd the build-up to the actual ride - what an experience to share with that 'special person in your life - the late autumn evening, the thunderstorm in the distance the lighting (and lightening). After 'Love Me Again' the music may not be to everyone's taste, true, but you can always dim the soundtrack as the ride begins and then patch in a favourite song. A case of 'de gustibus', innit? Please keep this video on UA-cam, at least till th'Apocalypse...
My dream is to be the owner of an amusement park one day. If and when I am, I would honestly pay you so much money to put this thing in my park. Absolutely outstanding. The layout, scenery, everything.
Very nice job on this. This is probably the best NoLimits 2 coaster I have ever seen. You should try to make an entire park on NL2 with each roller coaster having a great theme and design as this one. Nice work
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, I've been so busy with real-life stuff - mainly work - that it's been hard to devote any good chunks of time to NL2. I want to strive for quality, and thus must devote a good amount of time and effort to my future projects. Right now, I'm just too burned out to do that lol.
top-notch coaster, very realistic and safe i could actually see this in an amusement park somewhere her in the good ol' US of A. and total ride time would be 2m55s if you count the train leaving the station and stopping inside the station to let the riders out. and you would have made a a great ride operator too, sucks that did not come to fruition. on a scale of 1-10 i would have to hive the ride itself a 9.9 out of 10 1 being totally unsafe 10 being completely safe to ride and fun. and also the whole production quality a perfect 10 out of 10. i most definitely see the coaster having a home in cedar point if you decided you wanted it built and had the budget to build it.
I wish when they remade ghostrider it would turn into something like this! with the lights and the tunnels and the new timberliner trains! also the onboard audio
For a ride called the Hurricane I would expect it to be a little faster, I liked the lights as well as the queue line, station, and PA system, but cause of the time of day the track looked brown instead of white and that kind of ruins the track visually. -.- Still a pretty good ride, my only complaint is the overall speed, should be a little faster for the majority of the ride in my opinion, pretty much everything else though is great.
Very well done. I noticed you made use good use of those g-force combs. The scenery was nice too. I'm still working on my scenery skills but overall wow.
Awesome coaster bro are you running it on max settings because I want to get the game but i have only intel hd graphics and 2.1 ghz processor (intel Celeron) do you think it will run like you video?
I shot this using the in-game recorder (using NL2 Pro). Regardless of your hardware, when using this feature, the framerates will not be an issue. If you are using an external capture software such as FRAPS, then yes your computer's processor, video card, etc., will have a direct impact on how smooth the video is. I really don't know how your specific specs would translate to a smooth video. You just need to experiment and find out.
theme park studio looks interesting....but....not sure how much they've actually done with coaster simulation. You know what you're getting with NL2....my advice....go with NL2 if you're really into roller coaster simulation. Go with Theme Park Studio if you're looking for an updated Roller Coaster Tycoon clone...
cool coaster!! i need help with mine and i hope you can help me cause im about to rip all my hair out XD. I'm also trying to implement the script for triggering sounds and making anouncements but i have ran into a problem wich i simply can not figure out. When i fill in coordinates (0.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f) the sound is played at those coordinates perfectly fine. But when i fill in the coordinates i need it to play at. (300.0f, 5.0f, -980.0f) i only hear it very softly. Isimply can not understand why. How did you determine your coordinates?
I spent an entire week tweaking the coordinates to get the sound position and drop off just right. My initial advice to you would be this: Experiment, play around with the numbers. Try changing just one number at a time, save the script, load NL2, and see what that does. You will have to repeat this process over and over for each number and until you get what you desire. Like I said, this process took up a week of my time at least.
Strazman thanks for your quick answer! i have fixed it now! it turned out my units were screwed up. i had them set in meters but the formula needed feet. that's where it went wrong :) sounds cool now! Thanks! And keep coastering! ;)
I learned a lot from watching a tutorial. I have a link to it in my description. My advice is to start with that and then let your imagination run wild. It's amazing what you can do with supports in NL2.....
It really depends on you. If you just plan on building rides and uploading the actual park file for others to download, then you could probably get away with just the standard version. If you're like me, and enjoy doing video capturing / exporting and want to take the time to showcase your work in a video, then it is well worth the professional version. The pro version has better video output resolution as well as some cool motion-blur effects (as seen in this video).
Nice work! But mutch laggs in the night. My max framerate then is 19fps. Is there a way to get a better framerate? Have an Intel i5 + Radeon HD 7870 2Gb and play on 720P
To be honest, you're getting slightly better framerates than I am at night. The problem stems from a bottleneck near the station. I tried removing everything to help pinpoint the problem, but the lag remains. I feel that it is a performance issue with NL2. There isn't much more I could do to optimize the framerates. My advice to you is this: Run the simulator in the day time, and if you really want to enjoy the night-time views, just keep watching this video :) Hopefully, at some point, more optimization will be patched into the game to allow more lag-free night-time experiences.
+Kyle Koprevich A lot of detail-oriented crafting of the track, environment, and overall layout of the surrounding landscape. A few scripts helped as well. Trust me, I went into this as a newb and just did my research on the interwebs to understand what I needed to do to make things work. I know this is general but if you put in the work, the rewards are awesome!
Is there a solution for the bad framerate by nightscene? I've tried to adjust every graphic setting but my best result is not higher then 14fps at the station building. Intel i5 4460 + AMD Radeon HD 7870. Hope there is a solution, because it is a wonderfull ride...
+iCT oaster Sorry for the late reply, but I have not tried to rerun the simulator since the upload. As far as I can tell, this is as good as this file will get. I had to record this video with the in-game recorder which disregarded all frame-reducing issues (basically took 4 hours to record), but I'm hoping they have since solved the optimization issues.
Hey guys, I have a problem, I need a fence design for my coaster, I got Sketchup, made the design, exported the 3D model into a folder, but when I go into No Limits 2, I go into the folder from the Browse menu in Scenery, and the file doesn't show up. Help!
+Coaster Master this response is probably too late. What you do is you export it to your coaster folder. Go to com.nolimitscoaster.nolimits2 and go to the coaster folder you want the scenery to be in. Export there. Then go to scenery, nl2sco editor, and make a new file. then click on the . . . next to 3d model, select your model. then go to advanced and select fix ambient materials (to fix shadows) and then hit save. If you don't want to fix your shadows, all you need to do is select choose but change the filter to all supported 3d files and it should be there.
In a sense, yes. Lights do come with the software, though some in-game editing is involved to tweak them and re-color etc. If by paths, you mean the queue line, well that takes some creativity. I built the queue lines out of wooden supports (the kind that support the roller coaster itself). You can also use seperate 3D modeling software to create things and import into No Limits 2. Hope that helps.
Liam Wright I simply recorded my own voice and then used some editing software to get the clips and "PA" sound just right. After that, it was a matter of using scripts to time up the arriving and departing trains with my announcements. I'm sorry, but for now, I don't have the time to make a tutorial. I have never been to Six Flags over Texas. Though it's funny you mention this, as I have just recently moved to Houston this year. I plan on going to Six Flags Fiesta Texas in a couple months and doing some research on Iron Rattler..... hmmmmmm.......
I hadn't thought about doing that. I actually didn't even know about CC, lol. I do have it up on the NoLimits Exchange site. But now that you've mentioned it, I will probably get around to putting it up on CC too.
The entire project took me about 2 months of build time. When I say two months, I mean, a few hours here and there several days a week. You cannot rush something that you really want to come out to be awesome! Patience and attention to detail are the keys.
Korbles I think I could do that. Thanks for the offer! I will be somewhat unavailable this week due to RL workload, but lemme know how you wanna get in touch and I can take a look at what you got.
This is my second roller coaster in No Limits period. I never used NL1 and so I literally mean, this is my 2nd coaster ever in No Limits. The interface is really intuitive. It just takes time if you want something to look good in the end. This project took me a month of work in my spare time from start to finish. As for the coding, I honestly used a lot of other scripts I found and did some minimal tweaking to get the audio I wanted. When it comes to scripted light sequences and stuff like that, I still have no idea how to do it, but I want to learn.

Thank you for your kind words.
I think this is the sickest NL 2 coaster I've seen
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
And now I CAN view this terrific coaster on my iPad, Thank you so much! This really ‘takes me back’.
Flashback to the good old days when this was my idealistic and also favorite NL2 coaster...
This is easily one of the best Nolimits 2 videos I've ever seen! Not just because of the coaster, but the culmination of the theming, voice over, lighting (which looked awesome!), etc. Amazing job! Would definitely ride this if it was real.
Thank you for your comment. My track building skills are still par at best. I was going for the overall experience :).
Strazman Well, you nailed it! :D
The environmental lighting is so bizarre, but I'm totally here for it. Definitely has that calm before the storm uneasy quality to it.
Thanks for your comment. The lighting took me almost as long as it did to build the coaster and scenery itself.
One of my great favourites of all time. `it's the scenery, the atmosphere nd the build-up to the actual ride - what an experience to share with that 'special person in your life - the late autumn evening, the thunderstorm in the distance the lighting (and lightening). Lol. Thank you for your comment!
I Know - I forgot - pardon my 'senior moment'. But I'm sincere about the esthetic qualities of this video.
Awesome! I love the lights, I love the scenery, it's everything perfect!
Thank you for your kind words! I spent almost as much time on the lighting as I did the track :)
My dream is to be the owner of an amusement park one day. If and when I am, I would honestly pay you so much money to put this thing in my park. Absolutely outstanding. The layout, scenery, everything.
Thank you. If your dream comes true, PM me :)
Best nolimits ride I've seen
Thank you very much :) I'm glad you enjoyed it.
More with the good work :)
okay I just want to say this is freaking awesome I love it keep it up dude ur awesome!! :)
+TheMusicMaster1256 Thank you :)
One of the best NoLimits2 coasters ever!
Great job with the models and scripts especially i love the sounds in station and the lighting!
Ahhh he said @enjoyouride :) that's my boy
ENJOYOURIDE Haha :)
I may be two years late, but I absolutely love everything about this coaster
Thank you. Better late than never :)
Your voice is realistic for a roller coaster station
Thanks :) I almost got a job at Cedar Point on the Raptor way back when I was 18. It never panned out though lol
Back again for the nth time and lovin’ it. I think it’s the sky...
That was one of the best roller coaster bids I've seen as of yet!!
+tigerlvr4u Thank you :)
+Strazman you're welcome :)
Please do a tutorial on how to make rides this AWESOME. This is one of the best NL2 coasters ive seen. I'm begging you.
Best No Limits Coaster I have ever seen.

This is a nice coaster ride to go on before you leave.
Amazing work! you are very talented! Loved the theme and layout wasn't bad either! x
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it :)
AHHH THIS IS SO GREAT
*Click* is the sound of a new subscriber.
Ok
Holy fuck this comment is cringe, what the fuck was i thinking.
Oh God I love the lighting you did there :O
Thank you :) I'm a sucker for pretty lights.
Nice queue you got there
Why thank you :)
Strazman Thanks for the mention in your description, it means a lot :)
Amazing concept, music choice, decoration,... good job!
Jari Van Vaerenbergh Thanks :)

Maybe I'll start a petition to have Cedar Point tear down the Mean Streak and build my ride lol!
Incredibly realistic! I would want to ride this if it were put into an amusement park :D
I wish when they remade ghostrider it would turn into something like this! with the lights and the tunnels and the new timberliner trains! also the onboard audio
Planet Coaster Fans still tryna find out how to build a smooth coaster. Me: No Limits or Not Possible
Awesome - everything about it.
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
One of my all-time favourites. I used to be able to play this on my iPad (a year ago). Now it's 'not available'. Why? It plays OK my Mac...
Awesome ride would definently ride in real lif
Make a wooden launched coaster next to hurricane called tornado that would be so call. Love the music and lights!
OMG THAT LOOKS SO FUN

This lay out beast 7.0
Would love to do a RMC conversion of this!
It might be happening in Planet Coaster...
Awsome music and coaster
Looks fun
Very well done. I noticed you made use good use of those g-force combs. The scenery was nice too. I'm still working on my scenery skills but overall wow.
+MuntantmonsterX Pro Thank you :) Good luck on your scenery skills and next coaster adventure.
Cool Coaster!

awesome track
Thanks. Im glad you enjoyed it :)
A really terrific video - but why can't I view it on my iPad?
Wow! What an amazing coaster! Great Layout, Theme, and Experience! I'm truly impressed! How did you get it to do the on-board audio and music??
I used scripts. There are a lot of tutorials on UA-cam that discuss how to do this. That's how I learned.
Should i get this or wait for theme park studio
theme park studio looks interesting....but....not sure how much they've actually done with coaster simulation. Strazman Ok thanks
BambooSandwich Get NL2 I got theme park studio I spent 62 hours on it & I'm board of it NL2 is better.
Strazman actually a new RCT is coming out next year
13Mikestar Yeah but from the screen shots I've seen, it's not exactly what i was hoping for.

Strazman what script programm must i have to do that ?
Nitro LP
I recommend using Notepad++ for any script editing
ok thanks for the info ;D
Wow..This is so good...i wish it was real so i could ride it....Could you tell me how to build the line queue lines?
I learned a lot from watching a tutorial. I have a link to it in my description. My advice is to start with that and then let your imagination run wild. It's amazing what you can do with supports in NL2.....
Oh ya, and I like Back seat POV's, so u might want to consider that for ur next vid. ;-)
Lol thanks!
I'm so excited to get this game!! Been saving up for the $100 version. Is it worth it??

Make a video about how to do the thing you did with the voice. Ps. Could you look at my roller coasters, not as good by far but can you still look
Did you get a copyright strike for using "Love Me Again"?
+I Forgot My Username Not that I'm aware of.
NO WAY IT'S NL2!!!! IF IT IT IS PLEASE GIVE ME ADVICE!
+Kyle Koprevich A lot of detail-oriented crafting of the track, environment, and overall layout of the surrounding landscape. A few scripts helped as well. how did you made the quelines, the station and the voice in there ?????
The queue line and station are all built out of supports (see the description to my video above - it lays it all out).
Thx
i made one in rotc 3 that was based on the song just saying
This song is from FIFA 14
FIFA actually didn't make these songs -_- they bought them to use in game
Hey guys, I have a problem, I need a fence design for my coaster, I got Sketchup, made the design, exported the 3D model into a folder, but when I go into No Limits 2, I go into the folder from the Browse menu in Scenery, and the file doesn't show up. Help!

Do all those lights and paths come with the game?

Can you please do a tutorial on how to do the voice over thing in the station???
Liam Wright I simply recorded my own voice and then used some editing software to get the clips and "PA" sound just right. After that, it was a matter of using scripts to time up the arriving and departing trains with my announcements. I'm sorry, but for now, I don't have the time to make a tutorial. There are tuts out there for how to do audio scripts though. I hope this helps a little.
Ok thanks
How fast is the coaster
music was boss
How long is the coaster
In terms of track length, I couldn't tell you off hand. This video is over three years old and I no longer have NL2 installed on my machine. The time of the ride is approximately 2min30sec, as indicated by the station announcer. :)
45fps after last v2.5 update in dark... Nice!
How does the coridnates go X Y Z or what ?
Not sure what you mean....it's standard X Y Z coordinates....X is generally horizontal, Y is vertical, and Z is depth.... hope this helps.
What's the song that plays in the station?
Knife Party
Please design some real coasters!!! This was absolutely amazing.
How did you make the voice in the staition?
I recorded my own voice and then used scripts to synch up the announcements with the arrival and departure of each train.
can u build titan from six flags over texas?
I have never been to Six Flags over Texas. Though it's funny you mention this, as I have just recently moved to Houston this year. I plan on going to Six Flags Fiesta Texas in a couple months and doing some research on Iron Rattler..... hmmmmmm.......
i live i houston!
Strazman if you ever go to six flags over texas, do one either on texas giant or on titan
What is the music *_*
+Césox TV Check the description
are you going to upload the ride to coastercrazy.com?
I hadn't thought about doing that. I actually didn't even know about CC, lol. I do have it up on the NoLimits Exchange site. But now that you've mentioned it, I will probably get around to putting it up on CC too.
How do u build so well?
The entire project took me about 2 months of build time. When I say two months, I mean, a few hours here and there several days a week. You cannot rush something that you really want to come out to be awesome! Patience and attention to detail are the keys.
a and is the station and queue supports?
Yes. The station and queue were built completely out of supports.
italy

I think I could do that. Thanks for the offer! I will be somewhat unavailable this week due to RL workload, but lemme know how you wanna get in touch and I can take a look at what you got.
I'll send you a message with my skype name and email.
i wish i didnt suck at NL and coding :l
