People are way less likely to shoot at someone if they know it’s gonna be a gun battle and not just hunting a target. He’s saying it didn’t work and they still walked up on him.

About the disses feeling really personal, yeah, for sure. A lot of these dudes have seen their blood brothers, cousins, uncles, best friends, kids they grew up with ... murdered right in front of them. Then they go on social media, and the people who killed them, taunt them to their face and make songs about it. It's brutal and never ending.
