So many deserving talents didnt win the woeld title back then, like Piper, Orndorff, Jake the Snake, Mr Perfect, Ted DiBiase, Rick Rude, etc. But Bad News should have at least should have feuded with Hogan
I'm not for giving anyone anything without them earning it first. But wwe made a mistake by not letting Bad News Allen become the wwf champion back in 1989. A year before Ron Simmons became WcW heavyweight champion. It would've been cool to see a Legitimate badass like Allen Coage (BNB) could do as a monster heel wwf heavyweight champion. Just my opinion.
He was definitely ahead of time. He would be powerhouse today. Especially against Triple H, The Undertaker, Kane, John Cena, Roman Raines, and the Rock.
@@travisk08 every wrestler is going to be protective of their spot. Especially during the '80s where there were not as many spots to be had. You can't blame Hulk for that.
@@travisk08hogan only had the belt for about a year in 89. He spent most of that feuding with Savage (with minor challenges from boss man and others), and then during the summer they did the entire Zeus angle as well to promote the movie. Pro tip: if it’s from corney or meltzer and it about hogan - it’s 90% BS.
That was a Vince decision. In the mid to late 80s is when they started trademarking everything and Allen had prior use of the Bad News Allen name so they couldn't trademark it. So for the 2 years he used Brown. But he went back to Bad News Allen after in his return to Stampede.
He was ahead of his time. Imagine if he was younger and would have been around 1998. He would have blended right in the attitude era.
He was Stone Cold before Austin.
@@FightersFirstI just posted the same thing 😂
Beer-bellied sharecroppers
Classic 👊🏿
🤣🤣🤣🤣
He had used that for years here in Stampede wrestling.
The original Stone Cold
Wwwhhaaattt !?😊
Aw hell yeah
@@J.D.1. Wwhhaattt?!
I’ve been saying it for years.
Same look
Same ring gear
Same anti authority defiant attitude
He always threw that "beer bellied sharecroppers" line into every promo 😅
and spineless cockroaches!
Yep he used it for years prior in Stampede wrestling. lol
My favorite wrestler
Should've been a heel WWF champion. Could have made some big money
Absolutely!

he was black so he wouldnt win it nomatter what ..back in the 80s
Vince promised him the championship and then reneged.
@@phylliskumi4355Yes. Sadly. 😢
I loved his Arsenio Hall interview..
Underappreciated talent. When you punk out Andre the Giant you know you are a badass
💯
Straight up. Bad news brown one of the greatest heels of all time
I loved him. I wish that I got to meet him.
To be fair Andre crapped on him in the ring once.
Steve Austin before Steve Austin
This man was a MENACE
For sure.
Underrated Talent... R. I. P. Bad News Brown
Have you been on Mars or what 😂

I still use that "Have you been on Mars or what?" almost 40 years later.
Cool legend
Was a great promo
He was supposed to be the first African American heavyweight champion in the WWF.
Love Bad News, one legit tough cookie who took zero bullshit, top notch heel 👍
I looooove him.
He was definitely ahead of time. He would be powerhouse today. Especially against Triple H, The Undertaker, Kane, John Cena, Roman Raines, and the Rock.
This Monday night Ken Petunia, this is not the Olympics...lol
I’ve listened to his shoot interviews. He was a very articulate and intelligent man.
Was Bad News Brown ahead of his time or what? RIP
Austin before Austin 😂
Loved BBN.
That Andre match must have been nasty.
My father is the best heel ever
Indeed he is. I really wish that I had met him.
My favorite wrestler ever!
Why didn't vince put the belt on him? He's a good bad guy
Because Vince is a promoter and promoters lie. He was promised a run with the belt but Vince changed his mind and it never happened.
@FightersFirst I heard Hulk hogan had something to do with it
@@travisk08 every wrestler is going to be protective of their spot. Especially during the '80s where there were not as many spots to be had. You can't blame Hulk for that.
Because he folded to pressure of white America which wasn’t ready for a Black Champion in its predominantly white athlete entertainment sport.

The precursor to Bad News Barrett.
It would've been nice if Bad News Brown had atleast a brief run as Intercontinental Champion.
He spoke well
Spineless cockroach did me in😂😂
Inspiring
BNB was a bad man👍💯
Looks like he took Stone Cold Steve Austin image
If Stone Cold had a time machine and went back 2 decades. This was 1988. Bad News was an original.
@@FightersFirst lol..I know ...just speaking sarcastically...
Lol ok
