I'd be VERY surprised if the automakers are not planning on taking more plants down south. That's a no brainer. If automakers start bringing scabs in, it's over people. I don't know they'll do that. I've said from the beginning. I don't see them going more than 25% max. Time will tell.

The businesses use labor and tools and strategies to remain viable in a competitive environment, and workers benefit. Every car the Big 3 make could be made by a non-union foreign automaker. It’s a privilege not a right to a job that’s attainable right out of high school and pays $80K a year with great benefits. Instead of getting behind the hand that feeds, Fain’s creating a divisive, hateful kind of landscape that’s naive in 2023 … and that’s not going to end well for the UAW long-term.

And Fain is rejecting that, not just rejecting it but being downright brutal to the companies despite a pretty generous offer … hence my comment.
