For any local cross (Sahiwal, Cholistani) with HF to get to the requisite percentage, the crossing could be started with local female and HF semen. HF-local-HF successive crosses will yield the same ratio. Two beef breeds, Brangus and Braford were made through the same crossing sequence to have .375 Brahman and 0.625 continental breed.
