Together, we are individually planning the matings for an extensive AI and embryo program, focusing on efficiency and adaptation. Clouth's Brangus project began with selected females from Cavender Ranch, Quail Valley, Dragging M, Douget, Pennridge and, Plainview Farms MBJ Ranches. The results of these carefully planned matings will soon showcase the remarkable outcomes that can be achieved by pairing a dam with a leading sire for optimal complement and enhancement. 🧬
Our DNA and core herd, based on the performance of the females, using calving interval, average weaning weights, and hardiness and adaptability in Brangus phenotype, is one of our most important selection criteria. We focus our program on problem-free females to help us bend the performance curves without sacrificing style and balance. A key aspect of our approach to our cutting-edge MBJ genetics has been the pinpointing and inclusion of bloodlines from across the breed that we believe will complement and improve our cattle, maximizing hybrid vigor, genetic diversity, strong EPDs, and renowned carcass quality.
