Thanks for another great video, the amount of research you do before all your videos as always -- superb! Not many Melaka food vlogs show the chicken rice balls, and I've never had putu piring myself! Hope you get 100k subscribers soon, you both deserve that and much more!

Badar!! So glad you found our video🥰 thank YOU so much for such an amazing meal and the great conversation, learning all about your cooking process and dedication to your work. It was a pleasure. Thank you for watching and supporting our channel. All the best to you and the business in the future🧡 much love
I heard from my other Malaysian friends who ate in Penang too, told me that the Melaka tandoori is probably the best in the country. It was wonderful you got to interview sifu Badar.
It really was, Badar was such a lovely and friendly man, we enjoyed learning his process. He definitely made the best tandoori chicken we've ever tasted!
Glad they've made it to Melaka. I was there in Nov 2019 and bought variety of clothing there and rode that ferry. Because I was with the travel tour, I didn't get to see nor enough time to check out Hainan Kitchen. Like the way she made her rice ball with her own hands almost looks like a huge fish ball. The only missing is soft boiled eggs that complement with that Kaya Toast. I think I'm craving for the Putu Piring more than the rice jello. Tandoori Chicken also looks like Char Siu-BBQ Pork with its color. I would like my naan stuff with sesame as well along with double cheese and garlic. Love street food in night market. Can get whole lots in one quail egg the way he cook and skew them together. That fresh watermelon juice is final drink to cool of the thirst. It would be great if I can find a place to do watermelon juice like that here in North America.
Sounds like you had a great visit when you went to Melaka a few years ago :) we were lucky to watch the rice balls get made, as well as the tandoori chicken. You're right, it does have a bit of a char siu colour to it 😆 the watermelon juice was the perfect way to end our day . Thanks for your comment and support as always!!
Amazing video guys!!!! The tandoori chicken was to die for 🤤 Jonker street food market is a must visit in Melaka. You brought back many good memories of Melaka. Such a lovely city! Thanks a lot for sharing your delicious food adventures with us ❤️
Thanks so much for watching! Oh my gosh the tandoori chicken truly was delish, you guys would love it! Melaka really is a lovely city, incredible food, beautiful architecture, wonderful people, we really enjoyed our time there 😊
The white and pink one is called 9 layers cake. You are bang on the way you eat it, by peeling off one layer at a time, wiggle it a bit and then put it in your mouth. That was the way I used to do it 60 years back when I was a kid in Penang, certainly brought back good memories.
I like the Indian kandar roasted chicken, coating full of Indian spices, smell so strong. Steph & Chris, almost half of Malaysia you have visited. Look like you both love Malaysia culinary so much. Thanks ya, had sharing with us. Enjoy your trip. 😋😄👍🙏
Thanks Jack! We really love Malaysia to be honest. The food, people, countryside, cities, it's such a wonderful country, and we've been loving eating so many unique and interesting dishes, it's been great. Thanks for watching and for your support 🧡 we appreciate it!

Thanks for watching Richard! Honestly, the people in Malaysia have been so friendly and welcoming, we've had such wonderful experiences since we arrived!
They're from Thailand, but from quite a few years ago now. They still have them there if you ever go to visit! But that's the only place we've ever seen them... Love them though, favourite shirts for sure 😄
I just got back from melaka. Melaka has to be one of my fave places for food. But weekend crowd and traffic is horrendous. Chicken rice balls taste better with sweet spicy chilli sauce that comes with the dish.
Yeah when we were kids we eat strip by strip that kuih lapis while kuih talam has a bit of salty to balance up the taste. Prefer the seri muka which is glutinous rice with the pandan layer combo
Sharing of what you do and enjoy your food and tours is great but you almost never show and tell the names and addresses of the eatery places. Is there a good reason for not sharing the addresses ?
Hi John, we're unsure if you watch the entirety of our videos, because in every single one of our videos we always display the name of the places we visit in multiple locations. As we walk in we show the entrance of the restaurant with their name, we have graphics which come up with the name of the location as we begin each new restaurant, and we also have the name and Google address/location of every restaurant in detail in the description box of the video. To say that we almost never show the names is quite insulting because we do everything we can to promote the restaurants that we visit. Thanks a lot for watching.
What up everyone?
Have you ever tried tandoori chicken? What's your favourite way to eat or cook chicken?

We actually eating by peeling layer by layer when we were kids. While salt will usually be added to bring out the coconut flavour
It was certainly fun peeling the lapis kuih in layers, and you're right, it does bring out the coconut flavor very nicely. Both were super tasty🤤
for dessert suggest you try Cendol Kampung Hulu which is by the river ... if you are still in Malacca ... have fun
Stay tuned for our next video😉😉😉
