- Kashi, Banaras, or Varansi as we all know is one of the most religious places in the world. Along the ghats of river Ganga, the entire city, lies the centre of religious, philosophical, cultural, and artistic activities. This is the place where lord Shiva first resided with Mata Parvati and it is said that whoever seeks for Moksha here, attains it. The People of India team went out for an exploration of the city and its people and captured some of the most interesting and insightful experiences and this journey in itself was something beyond words. We have woven together a beautiful story about Banaras that will take you through an emotional roller coaster ride. There are 2 major effects on me when I watch these videos. 1st is the achievement of satisfaction. It’s like I’ve gone of a long vacation and have finally reached home.
